I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster

Can't start a new thread cause of my posting privileges, but a 3 hour interview himself and Neville gave to Off The Ball is causing a big stir in Ireland today, paticularly about his comments about Jon Walters, but this bit is fascinating.
Sorry but Roy Keane talking about man management and not sacking himself "I wouldnt have let it get to that" is laughable. The man is a failure as a manager, lets not beat around the bush. Its beyond clear from that interview section that Roy in hindsight has accepted he was cooked, but Roy at the time couldn't. Talking to certain players and staff in the way he did, you can't do that.

Neville comes across like an idiot. He cuts off the host apparently to make an important point, then just spends 10 minutes mumbling and adding nothing of value,
Actually he made an extremely valid point. At approx 14:00 mins he asks Keane,

"Would Keane the manager get rid of Keane the player for acting how you did"

Queue Keane reacting like a scalded, terrified little child lying through his teeth to save face.

The mans pure scum when you listen to his comments on Walter.

Walter Crickmer started it all...
He's a fecking parody these days. He loves the attention he gets for being "no nonsense Roy" but at the end of the day that's been a big part of why his management and coaching career has been a failure. He's a very incomplete and underdeveloped personality.

I loved him as a player for both united and Ireland but it's very hard to feel any warmth towards him these days. By all accounts he's an intelligent man who should have had a lot more to offer the game. But he seems intent on being the bitter old man that gets wheeled out whenever some podcast wants a bit of cheap publicity. It strikes me as a huge waste.
Nailed it...and attacking Ferguson's family is hardly necessary.

My feelings are they're too many bloody threads about him on the go.
'Is Roy Keane alive to you?' & 'Got any Roy Keane recipes?' are my favourites.

I find most ex players a bit dickish I really don’t know why. Keane and Neville are no different.

Eric is the exception. He was different as a player and is different as a man. Many of them are just ordinary Joe who happen to be good with a ball.

Both excellent.

I also recommend "Roy Keane - no longer at it (again)" and "Who's to be blamed for Brexit - Roy Keane or Gaz Nev?".

He is a proper bloke. Hardly anyone in the media is like him. Most of them just ramble on the same old stuff (Merson, Souness) or are hiding behind well-phrased and polite statements.
It's refreshing to hear Keane's point. Not that he is always right, but who is?

A superb footballer and a player who in his day would have made any team in the world better. Probably my favourite ever United player, along with Giggs.

What is wrong with being an ordinary Joe? We all pee and shite and turn to dust eventually!

Don’t always agree with him but I absolutely loved him as a player and as a person I love how he doesn’t give a feck about saying what he thinks, too few people in football like that now and if his desire and work ethic could be bottled and given to our team I’d be very happy.

Legend. Was right about United, was right about Saipan and players are hopeless pussies compared to what he is. A team of Manes would be destroyed by a team of Keanes.

Right, but neither would stand a chance against a team comprised of Justice League heroes.

I'd wager, if SAF was starting his managerial career now, he wouldn't have become SAF, he'd just be AF, and out of a job just as quickly as Keane.

The locker room has changed, and SAF got away with his old school style as long as he did, because of his earned reputation. If he was just a former player, and he came into a locker room with the sort of style he had in todays game? He'd lose the team after a couple hair dryers.

Keane clearly went into it with that old school mentality, and the current crop of players, they ain't having none of that.
