Maybe in 7 years time. Take it easy on the kid and let him grow into the preemptive titles

I think it’s a pretty lazy thread but I would have to agree.

What? How? I genuinely don’t understand how you could argue he is better than Pogba or de Gea “by far”.

Is this a windup thread?

You guys always make threads like these then it inevitably comes back to bite you. When will you learn?

He said more valuable, not better. In terms of ability and potential relative to age, he's probably our second most valuable player.

I'm certain this is a troll thread to bring all the hate on Rashford from the usual suspects.

Me too  Either that or our fanbase lurches from one extreme to the other.

He's had a very up and down season so far (natural because he is only 22 after all) but he still has 8 goals. It's a fair bet he'll reach 20 by the end of the season which is what we really need.

This forum used to have quality control and it was very effective. But just like the management and operations at Manchester United have gone down the hill, same goes for this place, which is kind of ironic how it has happened almost simultaneously.

Nani was 10x the player than him, or anyone else in our team today.
It’s funny cos I was watching a compilation video literally just yesterday of all of nani’s goals while at the club and he really had a sweet strike in him!

I don't understand why United Fans feel the need to talk things like "Player X was 10 times the player Rashford was" or "his ceiling will be Player Y" or "he will be the new Walcott/Welbeck". I don't even get the point of these comparisons. Nobody who isn't Nostradamus can say which way his development will go at this point. I get we are on a football forum and talk about United, but sometimes it's a bit over the top imo. I for one just enjoy seeing such a talented youth product play and develop for us. Sometimes he frustrates, sometimes he is sensational. I'm excited to find out how our journey with Marcus Rashford will continue.

Are we talking about transfer value or actual value? Transfer value Pogba would obviously fetch more. Maguire would too. Martial wouldn't but would be in the same ballpark as Rashford (60-70m at a push).

Actual value, well, just off the top of the head we can easily say that James has had a better season than Rashford so far. Martial is clearly more important statistically because our win % is something like triple for games he starts in, which is not the case with Rashford. Maguire and De Gea add more value in defence. Pogba and McTominay probably more valuable to our overall play as well.

Rashford is easily replaced by Martial or James. McTominay is easily replaced by... Matic? Exactly.

He has a little bit of everything, but needs to either get better at those or master something. He, along with Martial, is the player you look at to make something happen, though, and he's been producing of late.

I'm sure he wants to keep improving and feel he has the work ethic and mentality to do so.

No. We just saw how he looked leading the line when Martial was out. Was clear he isn't yet Mvp caliber. He is however a really nice piece to have when the team is already clicking and he gets to focus on what he's good at

His workrate
His attitude
His comittment to the club
His young age
The responsibility he takes on board
His will to make things happen
His contribution in every game
And the fact he could get into any other top team in the PL and rest of Europe for that matter. Bar RM and Barcelona maybe!

I only wish we can get at least half a season of Pogba, Martial and Rashford together. The two strikers would look miles better with a midfielder who can pick a pass quickly and get them into one on one situations.

Could have had a hat trick in the first half . Didn’t take any of the chances. But you think he’s our most valuable asset. Ok.
You don't see it do you?. The fact he gets himself into those positions says it all. The hattrick you're talking about will come. Anybody else in the team who can contribute like he does and match his comittment?

Not sure how you can say he's better than Pogba, Martial, or De Gea really. He has his moments, if he could score more than half of the chances he gets, I would think about agreeing.

No player scores half of the chances they get, the best players barely hit the target half of the time.

Nice that people always judge our old players at the height of their playing days with us when they compare them to any of our players on a standard day. Actually, on a standard day when they’re just 22 years old.

Pretty sure Vardy has a 1 in 3 conversion rate or something like that(even better this season), but I was being flippant, I really meant the gilt edge chances he gets(5 yard scuffs etc.). There are far too many of those sorts of misses.

He can be creative, he can somewhat defend, when in form his free kicks are close to class of Beckham, Roberto Carlos or Ronnie, he got pace and if he'll work on his end product further and add more of clever decision making which should come naturally in future with experience, then he'll be just behind Sancho in United's football value table. ;)

Fingers crossed.

Well, for starters, Pogba is the only player I'd expect to receive a fee north of £100m for, should we decide to sell him in the near future.

Since he's been forgotten by the OP the discussion is kinda pointless really.

Rashford is quality, and like all of our better player, is under appreciated at the moment.
