Doubt Shaw is on £195 a week. He's on £195k a week for 4 more years so good luck trying to move him on if he doesn't get over his injury troubles.

Some sources have him on £9.8m (£195k). Others £7.8m (£150k). When someone like Mata is reported to be getting £160k a week, is it really farfetched for Shaw to be that high? Have you seen our wage bill? It's enormous.Doubt Shaw is on £195 a week.
Luke vs hamstringThink he is involved in the revival of man v food tv series
75 appearances in 5 and a half years apparently. Unreal.Feels weird that he hasn't picked up a reputation for this yet. Not that it's an indictment of him as a player but he's had a lot of injury problems.
Yes I know he had that ghastly leg break but he's been prone to a lot of niggling issues, too. He's only played over 20 games in one of his 5 (going on 6) seasons here...
Absolutely insane. I can't even begin to think how someone thought that was a good idea. He's on £195k a week for 4 more years so good luck trying to move him on if he doesn't get over his injury troubles.
Should be a red flag about how accurate these sources are how huge of a difference the wages are reported. Papers are talking out of their asses. Why would they know the wages? Some sources have him on £9.8m (£195k). Others £7.8m (£150k). I feel you when I read stupid posts like this one below. "Never been in shape", give a fecking breakHe was in the best shape he’s been in at the start of season, clearly worked very hard to get there and was in great form too.
The cheap speculation in here is cheap. I understand the frustration but the accusations don’t weigh up against the efforts he made over the summer.
He's never been in shape and doesn't deserve a professional football contract nevermind one at Man Utd.
I've been wanting a new left back for around 3 seasons now. It's probably the last serious weak link along with not having a proper number 10 in the squad
"Protects" his valueAbsolutely insane. I can't even begin to think how someone thought that was a good idea.
It is obvious why we gave him a deal. In real life where real money actually matters, we have to try and manage what we have. Shaw ‘making the grade’ would have been a massive convenience for us. He already cost a huge outlay, and was coming to the end of his deal. We were facing losing him for free, and having to spend a lot of money to replace him. Him looking like he had turned a corner made life much easier for us, and it was a gamble that made sense, as it was one less position we would need to spend on.Absolutely insane. I can't even begin to think how someone thought that was a good idea.
‘I did the same and then the worst thing was I felt like I was fully recovered, had been 3 months played one really casual game of football where I pretty much jogged apart from the one time I decided to sprint and it went again. One of the worst injuries I've ever had was a serious tear of the hamstring - the type where you hear it going "plung!" and feel something, unholy, pop in your leg. That didn't heal for about 3 months, and even then, it took me another 2-3 to have confidence in it.
Haven't paid attention to Shaw or what happened to him, but if it's anything like that, he's got to be 100% before coming back, and, given his history with serious injuries, I wouldn't be surprised if he's apprehensive to try and go into full-burst sprints even when given the all clear to do so.
Because they are English. Its fascinating how the likes of him and Jones manage to get contract extensions every single time. I expect our club to renew Bailly's contract as well while at it.
So you want to give credit to someone for getting into shape over pre season 6 years after signing for United? Mind blowing.I feel you when I read stupid posts like this one below. "Never been in shape", give a fecking break
Its silly as it gives the message that irrespective of performance or contribution there's always a new contact waiting in the cornerBecause they are English.
Nobody is questioning whether he is injured. I’m questioning why the feck a hamstring injury has kept him out for 3 months. One that he has not had to have surgery on. Are you unfamiliar with hamstring injuries?New and kind of worrying trend of discussion on this site is questioning the truth behind injuries of our players. Hamstring injuries can be tiresome and take a good while to get better. Pogba was pictured in a cast, missed four games for France, Ole said how he was injured and still his injury was described as an 'injury' and used as a reason that he didn't bother playing for United.
That is weird comment. Do you know how much determination does it take to become a footballer?Got to wonder if their recovery is supervised correctly, and how well we're monitoring if they're ready to come back.
Shoot me for saying this, but Shaw doesn't exactly seem the type that would be raring to work hard again.
Maybe 195k including appearance bonuses, clean sheets, assists..Some sources have him on £9.8m (£195k). Others £7.8m (£150k). When someone like Mata is reported to be getting £160k a week, is it really farfetched for Shaw to be that high? Have you seen our wage bill? It's enormous.
Yes, I think anyone who has experienced it truly respects the injury and the recovery processes both physically and psychologically. Being fully healed is so important, but even then, it takes quite a bit of time to trust and believe you actually are.‘I did the same and then the worst thing was I felt like I was fully recovered, had been 3 months played one really casual game of football where I pretty much jogged apart from the one time I decided to sprint and it went again.
Ham strings are a nightmare and normally a sign of muscle fatigue or an issue somewhere else. I seem to recall Giggs in his earlier years having a problem with his hamstrings. Took up yoga and that supposedly helped him a lot.
A hamstring can take that long, I was out for 2 months and with that I kept suffering tightness after it. Obviously his recovery would be a lot more professional but hamstring injuries are a nightmare. My issue was that I had one leg shorter than the other and it was putting all the pressure on it.Nobody is questioning whether he is injured. My understanding is that the ones that take months require surgery. That’s for a complete tear. Like Dembele had. Shaw hasn’t gone under the knife according to any reports. Yet we’ve not even seen him in training. He was also mentioned as being back about a month ago if I recall.A hamstring can take that long, I was out for 2 months and with that I kept suffering tightness after it. Let’s hope he’ll be back after the international break.
he could have easily developed an inflammation that kept or is keeping him out longer when in reality his hamstring tear/strain is healed.Nobody is questioning whether he is injured. He could have suffered a recurrence when back training who knows. My understanding is that the ones that take months require surgery. That’s for a complete tear. Like Dembele had.
