Are you the ref?
I'm worry. I think he really twisted his ankle. I might be wrong on this but it looks to me his feet bend the other way when I saw the replay and probably pop back again (may be my eyes play trick on me since last week happened to my mate in Sunday League). However if he really twists his ankle that bad, it could be very long recovery.
If that were the case, why would they let him attempt to limp off?

Another really strong display though Fred was Motm i thought. Hope he's ok and injury not too serious.

Beast mode. He is so dominant and such a presence in midfield

I hope that his injury is a light one and that he'll use the international break to get some rest. Thought he was great again today and deserves the amount of game time that he's getting. Really like this guy.

Probably his most underrated aspect is his ability to carry the ball forward. He broke the midfield line so often today, he just seems to bounce off players and bulldoze his way through.

Really hope the injury is too serious. He's vital for us right now.

I'n not surprised. I had a bad sprained ankle myself with ligament damage a few years back, and it took months for it to heal properly so i could run 100% again. Obviously not saying his would be any way similar, but if it's as bad as it looked, it could easily be over a month he's out.

Good performance today, but his injury looked nasty.

Looked like a bad sprained ankle to me. I'll be very surprised if he plays vs Sheffield United.

We could be looking at over a month here.
Just twisted his ankle i think. it hurts like fecking hell, but unless there is any ligament damage you are usually back on your feet in a couple of days

If it's ligament damage then we are fecked especially with Pogba will only back in December.

It seemed like the guy stood on his ankle? I couldn’t see it properly on my stream but did it roll over?

I hope it’s just a nasty bruise but it could be anything from broken metatarsal to ligament damage.

hope to god it’s just sore and not big damage :( would just be our luck the team is starting to gel and playing well and we lose him

That's it, we won't know if he suffered ligament damage until he's scanned. It did look gruesome on the replay though unfortunately so i don't hold much hope.

The opponent was nowhere near from what i saw, he went over it on his own. His foot rolled in the opposite direction.

Not from me
Fair enough. The ‘lost possession-ometer’ reserved solely for Pogba would have been way too high. And after Scott ‘drove forward’ today, he almost always ran straight into a Brighton player.

He’s a player who has some qualities that can compliment Pogba and form a good partnership, but not replace Pogba’s qualities for me. I’m excited to see him, Pogba and Fred soon.

I knew you would come in here to say that instead of praising him for that performance.
It was an average performance and not praiseworthy in my opinion. But whatever, each to their own. To me, he put himself about well, and showed his lack of quality on the ball over and over again. Everyone’s drinking Scott juice at the moment though so whatever, I’ll leave them to enjoy it.

And I didn’t ‘come in here to say that’, I responded to someone saying ‘that is the sort of performance I want from Pogba’. It isn’t, he was wasteful on the ball, and as we know, Pogba doesn’t get away with that.

Cant fault him really. Love his overall technique, especially his kicking, love his attitude and his aggressiveness. The better we get, the better he will get.

It wasn't a high speed awkward landing or off balance turning to damage his ankle.

He might just get a bruise.

Ah really? I’m sure March stood on him and made it go over. Anyway he seemed in a lot of pain, hopefully it’s just a quick temporary amount. Maybe a rest from Scotland duty will do us some good anyway.

You think Pogba doesn't get praise in games we win? Especially after being a presence and dominating the other team from his midfield position? A few misplaced balls aren't going to change how we feel about any of those guys after such a big contribution to our team win. If you think that was an average midfield performance, you are biased.

Your opinion. I think that if you think that was a good midfield performance, you are not objective. McTominay is an average footballer with a big heart. He’s from Lancaster but made the smart move to represent Scotland, as he’d never get near the England squad with the talent they have.

I appreciate that he’s the best option for now, and I’d currently have him in the team every week. However, unless he learns to manipulate the ball a lot better than he does, then he’d be the first in the first choice midfielders I’d upgrade in order to improve the quality of the team. That is provided Fred can get close to today’s performance with regularity, which remains to be seen. If not, I’d be looking at upgrading the pair for better and more reliable midfielders. I have no reason to ‘hate’ McTominay. I just don’t think he’s good. As far as top young midfielders go, 22 year olds who have the quality to go on and be a United regular, I expect them to be better footballers than McTominay. I’m more than happy for him to be in the rotation though, but if he’s the best we have, it’s damning I think.

Scan tomorrow. Really hope it's nothing serious, and he's not out as long as Pogba has been. Such a shame, just when the McTominay-Fred midfield was just starting to click and develop their understanding.

Another good performance from Scott. He is now a proper leader in our team, rapidly becoming a complete central midfielder. We will struggle if he is out injured.

A good performance from him, we will certainly miss him in the next few weeks.
Wonder if Matic will play a few games or if Garner will get the chance?

Agree. He does ok considering he’s rubbish alongside him. Very over hyped on here.

Solid performance, hopefully the injury isn't too bad, thankfully he's got a couple of weeks to rest up.
