Not a Premier League standard manager. This was always going to happen.
TBH he actually is a decent manager for those small teams who want to avoid relegation without having a much troubled season, but from mid-table up he's simply not good enough.

In those biased articles the media highlihted that he won the Cup with Sporting, which is not really a big feature and Sporting football quality was quite poor, since they actually had a very decent squad at the time.
At Olympiakos not surprising either, the rest of the greek teams barely had money, so Olympiakos would always win the league. Now PAOK has some funding and things are geting more balanced.

Big mistake, should've given him at least 2-3 more windows to bring in his players and turn the ship around. He really knows the club. What did Klopp achieve in his first two seasons?

You're being sarcastic right? Cuz he was actually stealing a living in broad day light.

Bet I could find 150 posts from people on here calling him a potential United manager a year or three ago*

*Don't call me on it - I cant be bothered

Constantly at the STD clinic.
Let's be honest, post Moyes Everton have hardly looked threatening. They should sign him and back him up. I think Moyes is a midtable Mourinho. Thrives while managing an underdog team.

I think we are essentially just waiting to see who is available before pulling the trigger. Hearing Moyes or Hughes are the ones that would be easy to get in for us. Howe and Arteta are also options we are looking at. They’d be interesting. Arteta is a bit of an unknown quantity.

Would you prefer they let him stay for the nasty upcoming fixtures, giving a potentially new manager a better chance of a decent start?

arteta would be a total gamble tbf, there must be better options out there for premiership sides

Moyes or Hughes!
What a choice! How many failures can these guys have and still walk back into a top flight job!?

Moyes would be hilarious after the abuse some of their scumbag fans gave him.

Where has Hughes failed? He's not an exciting choice but he's hardly a failure.

He's been sacked everywhere he's been!
Nah. He left Wales because he wanted to be a club manager, left Blackburn to join City, left Fulham because he thought he could better. And to be fair, most managers leave most of their jobs because they get the sack anyway. Pochettino been sacked in 2 out of 3 jobs, Mourinho loads of times, Allegri at Juve, Milan, Cagliari and Grosetto.

Mind you, I think Everton could be looking to be more ambitious here. In world terms they have a lot of money. If Newcastle ended up with Benitez and West Ham with Pellegrini (not doing too well but he was a bit of a coup on paper) there are people like Kovac, Spalletti, Blanc, Marcelino and Moreno all unemployed.

Yes like Moyes and Huges.... hahaha

Now I don't know anything about Arteta but if the Everton hierarchy have done their due diligence and there is indeed some truth to talk about him being very good they should absolutely go for him.

only real thing we know is he hasn't been a manager, guardiola said he was excellent but fergie said giggs was excellent etc etc... its a total coin flip, a coin flip where dud is a heavy favourite to land

if moyes and hughes are the only available managers then fair enough take a lash on arteta... a club like everton should be able to attract anyone from outside the top 2-5 clubs in germany, spain, france, portugal etc though.

Dumb to be vandalising your own stadium but still a sign of how many are feeling I guess.

I reckon Everton would be lucky to get Eddie Howe to be honest. I'd hardly lump him in with career losers like Hughes and Moyes.

Moyes for me did a good job at Everton, but Ron Atkinson did a good job at Villa, and you wouldnt bring him back. Moyes is a dinosaur in the modern game.

As if "no Moyes" in the manager list wasn't enough, some guy decides to just add "feck Moyes" for good measure

Marcel Brands came with big reputations as DoF so will be interesting to see if he goes with Moyes, Hughes who are considered as 'past it/dinosaurs' or managers like Howe who plays good football.
