C’mon, look at the midfield we had yesterday and squad depth in general.

Our 2 best midfielders injured against Graelish and McGinn, and we nearly won.
Had a lot of chances in 2nd half , i’m actually semi-impressed that we pushed them as we did considering our team.

Anyway, we should give Ole a full season and making a secret deal with Poch for next season.

I think I slowly but surely am done with this club. This bullshit from head to the tippy toes is absolute shambles.
We are literally the worst run top flight club in Europe, Leicesters owners are amazing and i fully envy the way they treat their fans, us on the otherhand...

If he goes we can still save the season, 8 points behind Chelsea. Title is over 100%, 22 points behind Pool already, yes 22! Ole has a win %of 24% since he was made permanent. The worst in the league probably. The longer we leave it, the longer we prolong the crap. It is just propaganda from ex players keeping him in the role. Ole is clearly out of his depth, stupid tactics.
Nah, it's a write-off. We're not getting top 4 and obviously not winning anything. Provided we don't spend too long languishing in the relegation zone, I suspect that Woodward will keep Solskjaer in place until the end of the season.

I dont think a great deal would change even if Ole's sacked or resigns.

The state of the club.:(

It really isn't. If a quality manager comes in now we can still have a chance for top 4. Probably top 3 is out of the question - true, but Chelsea are very inconsistent, Arsenal are pretty dire and Spurs would probably also falter here and there. The gap isn't that big..

Leave Ole for another month and will definitely be a write off...

This will be the longest, drawn out sacking in history, because it's going to reflect horribly on the idiot who appointed him in the first place. And Ed is not going to want that to happen.

Buckle up, boys, it's going to be a fun ride.

The reality is that the manager, the players and the coaching staff are not good enough. Parachuting Allegri in to this mess mid-season, is unlikely to result in a campaign of glory.

It doesn't matter anyway, because there is zero chance of it happening, given that Woodward has only just done the big interview with UWS, offering Solskjaer some very public reassurances - Ed will not want to be made to look like an idiot (well, no more than usual, anyway).

We're stuck with Ole until the summer - may as well make the best of it.

Yeah, no doubt about that - it isn't ideal. But still the season has something to play for. EL, FA cup, we are in a shout for top 4, slim, but still there.

At least have a better coach to set some foundations for next season. Everybody is regressing fast at the moment, even the new signings. If we keep him for much longer that means next season will be a writeoff as well, as no top coach will fix that mess in such short amount of time.

The title was over before the ball was kicked once. This squad was never going to be good enough to win the premier league.
I was going for the drama that we are 22 points behind and it has only been 14 games. Could be 50 points at the end of the year. Or course we are never winning a title under Ole and not for another 5 years at least.

Well the first thing a sacking would do would be do accept that we are in a shit state but instead we will just keep our heads down and behave as if nothing is wrong at the club . Oh and every match we will say bullshit about how big a club United is bla bla bla. We have won 4 league games and it's December

My cup is generally half full on all matters. However, United are testing this on a weekly basis. Over the last few seasons there hasn’t been any improvement that I can see. Not sure just changing the Manager just now is the answer. Those fans hoping a white knight will appear to oust the Glazers and dump a pile of cash to be spent on some quality will be disappointed at least for a while. Why? Well Jim Ratcliffe who knows a thing or two about business and is an avid United fan said he wouldn’t buy the club as it’s a basket case with poor management at all levels, crazy investments and irresponsible spending on poor players. Professional investors look at the management team in any company they may invest in before splashing the cash. There would be no attractive return in buying United and he thinks it’s a huge task to get the club straight again. He has bought Nice in France and, reading between the lines, is using this to gain experience of running a football club. He lives in Monaco now so he’s close enough for a hands on approach.

We now have two games in a few days and if, which is likely, we don’t get anything from either match, I see Woodward bricking it and showing Ole the door. I bet Woodward has already spoken to Poch. I fear we are going to be mid-table for some seasons to come.

Honestly, do you really think the board would brief Athletic even if they were doubting Ole?

Whether they have faith in him or not anymore, I don't think Athletic would be allowed to get a whiff.

There does seem to be a change in mood today in the press and from some fans, not sure how significant it is but there are a lot of journalists questioning his record and comparing him to Emery and Pochettino.

Can't see Woodward pulling the trigger on him though unless it looks like we're in danger of relegation.

This club is going nowhere, too many jokers running the show especially with pennywise at the top.

This isn't the Fergie days, we speak to the press so much more now. We're not a holding our cards close to our chest club anymore.

Jose was sacked after 7 wins (and 26 points) in 17 games. We're at 4 wins (18 points) after 14 games. Best we could be is 7 wins in 17 which was sackable last year. With Spurs, City and Everton, it will still be 4 wins in 17 if I were to bet .

So either of the two things should happen:

1. We sack the manager right now
2. We have accepted that this performance is totally acceptable and let alone winning titles, finishing in the top 4 is also not an aim for us right now.

Ole is their perfect manager - reduced expectations and won't rock the boat because he can't believe his luck he is in the job. Only a relegation battle will get rid of him because there is still a huge section of the fanbase who won't hear a word said about him.
Too much generalising going on on both sides of the Ole argument. I support the manager and will do until he is no longer the manager, but I have no issue with criticism of him as long as it's respectfully done. I'm not happy with some of our so-called fans who think it's acceptable to call Ole 'Golem' or 'Ole Gunnar Sockpuppet' and many of the other insults we wouldn't accept if it were coming from an opposition fan on here.

No matter what you think of his manging abilities, to the generation of fans who saw his entire United playing career, Ole the footballer will always have a very special place in our hearts and a few people on here need to keep that in mind before posting the ad hominem attacks.

He's not taking this seriously. He's smiling like an idiot after a draw which feels like a lost. I know united aren't exactly top 4 material just yet, but if you want the confidence from the fans and real support. At least beat these fecking teams united should be beating. No excuses. It's pathetic.

I don't think managerial changes would be as open.

I'm sure transfer business or general structural thoughts are difficult to keep quiet, but a big change like sacking probably not.

Did Athletic really talk about the board not keeping Emery until it happened? I only recall the reports being post Southampton which means they weren't really giving that much breaking info.

Not to him. I am sure he sees it as a massive positive that we haven't lost.

The press were told Jose was safe the day before he was sacked. I have no doubt the board are desperate not to sack Ole but tide is starting to turn in the media and I expect us to be in bottom half of table after Man City game. Soon his sacking will be inevitable unless there is a huge upturn in form very quickly.

The reality is that they’ve got exactly what they wanted. They’ve got a manager who will smile politely, won’t question anything and will bat everything away. They’ll hide behind the young players narrative, the long term plan etc.

To be honest, I think deep down we knew that when he replaced Mourinho, we all knew that this was a possibility. This was the worst nightmare scenerio. Deep down I think we all knew that if things got like this and if results ended up being as badly as this, it‘s hard to imagine them getting shut of him. That was always my main fear anyway.

Success for this club now is inconsistency. Win a couple here and there and then when we lose, people look back at the victories and come up with the old “let’s give him time because six weeks ago we beat team x and played well”. That’s why I’m finding it so hard at the minute, if we beat City next week and draw against Spurs, we could lose the next six games and he would get a free pass.

I think we'll stick with him until the end of the season as long as there's no possibility of relegation.
