Where's the CL football to tempt him?

He'd only leave us for that just like Young and Milner did before.

Would be brilliant in La Liga but don't think he's the type who'd go abroad.
Don't fool yourself that only champions league teams could lure him.
What will make it awkward is the ludicrous fee you'd ask.

First half he was running rings around us. Looks a very good player. Should have scored before we made it 2-1.

Good player, perhaps could be very good in premier league terms. I genuinely can't see him coming to Man Utd though, he is Villa captain so has definitely glory there, he will be holding out for City, Liverpool or maybe even Spurs- and I don't blame him. Ole would make him useless too

I'd assume every player would want to play at the highest level possible. Let's say Liverpool, Chelsea and United were in for him, he'd most likely choose Liverpool at this point. But if United were the only team willing to offer Aston Villa the money they're asking for, I bet he would sign for us. He has a greater chance of getting to the highest level playing for United rather than Villa.

Rooney was a once in a generation 18 year old wonderkid.

Don't let a decent performance against our dross today fill your hype wagon up too much!
I'm not really comparing Rooney's achievements or talent with Grealish, but as far as English talent available at a lower club - he's the one you'd go for, me thinks. Possibly that Leeds guy Kalvin Phillips as well. Event though 23-24 is not that young in modern days.

Nothing special at all. Don't want. His goal won't change that and our poorly coached side that made him do what he wanted neither

When you’re being defended by Fred and Perreira you’re going to look like Zidane out there. It’s no coincidence he spent most of his time picking up space around Perreira.

He's really matured and is starting to find his feet in the Premier League.

Folks need to calm down, at the moment we have a tendency to make every opposition look like world beaters. Grealish is a good player, but not the second coming of Zidane as we made him look like today. Same with Lundstram doing best Roy Keane impersonation last Sunday.

What is his best position though? I struggle to grasp it but I don't think he's a natural fit.

I'm all about McGinn from that team - would love him.

McGinn was no better than our CMs in this match.

In terms of producing in the final third and doing things like the great goal he scored, he's been best as a LW this season. He's got 0 goals and 2 assists when playing as a CM

He was very good as usual, such a natural footballer. Hopefully we sign him, like players like him who just beats players with ease.

Jack Grealish a really good player, but reminds me an awful lot of Coutinho. He looked brilliant at Liverpool when they were poor and he was the focus of the team, but as Liverpool improved his role became diluted and his impact less and less significant. This is continued at Barca & now are Bayern.

My fear for Grealish is he wouldn't be able to slot into an elite team, where he isn't the "Star" player. That said as soon as he has the opportunity to earn 200k with a top 4 club, he'll be gone.

He'd play as a 10 in our system i think. Villa haven't played with one this season.

He’s an enigma and in the past we’d be the ideal stage for that type of talent. Not so sure now though, we don’t have the swagger we once had to indulge a player like Grealish.

That's not how it happened though. He played the best football of his career in his last six months with us and was looking like the best player in the league that half season before he left.
