We are a very good counter attacking side, & when playing sides that come out to play we play well & get results. Think Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, & Leicester. The problem is the vast majority of sides in the premiership play negative counter attacking to, & against them we are unable to change our game, so cannot break them down & struggle to beat them. Wouldn't have done any harm, but the way the chance came about wasn't really the result of great play on our part. Seemed a flukey series of bounces ending up with Martial who had a fairly simple through ball. That chance aside? Zilch.

We don't create enough against this level of opposition, relying on us (especially on our attackers) to put away every chance that comes their way is doomed to fail.

Oh come on this nonsense has to stop. Sheff United and a zillion others over the past 100 years have proven you don't need 11 very good players to be a very good team. We've shown time and time again under Ole the motivation isn't there to play well every week and that's on the manager. In addition, the level of interplay we show is nowhere near at the level you'd expect after a year listening to the same coach. We have amazingly fast players up top, we've mastered how to play on the counter.......jesus that would be the go-to tactic for any manager in the football league with these players.
