January transfer window cannot come sooner.
Priority: new coach

People are kidding if they think Sancho and others are coming here.

I mean, what words coming out of Ole’s mouth convinces anyone that Utd is the place you should be?

Is he a coach that you’d sign for? What’s his vision? Playing style? He’s a caretaker and that’s it. A man who should be opening up and locking the gates when everyone’s left. A man who should be checking the heating is working and bulbs need replacing.

But the feck should he be coaching a club of this stature. His co coaches haven’t a clue, both just sit there reflecting their manager; deadpan, clueless and no personality to get up and go on the touch line and have a presence

Watford were just as tumescent and and one dimensional as us in the first half. They looked well drilled and made it hard for us, but it's hard to tell whether that caused or was caused by our wastefulness in possession and lack of movement up front.

But therein lies the problem; we should be beating that team comfortably, or at least be carving out chances and putting them under real pressure.

If DDG doesn't drop that clanger that game probably ends a nothing 0-0 or perhaps United snatch it.

The lads beat themselves today.
If Lingard had scored we’d have won the game. These lads do themselves no favours.

Let’s kid ourselves that ‘if DDG doesn’t drop a clanger... ‘

It was terrible from the first minute. You’d think they were returning from a summer break. Snatching a win against Watford!!!!

That really sums up where we are

Regardless of the individual errors, we failed to score a single goal. Draws are worth feckal to us right now given our points tally we need wins, all these comeback-draws do is paper over cracks.

We are in our worst season, and the board won't do shit because The Future™.

Can't be arsed with this shit.

Except that we have the 4th largest wages on the entire Clubs in the world, we don't have players to match Watford.

Pogba, returning from a massive injury, and playing only 1/3 of the game is going to be the man of the match.

That should say a lot.

We are a very good counter attacking side, & when playing sides that come out to play we play well & get results. Think Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, & Leicester. The problem is the vast majority of sides in the premiership play negative counter attacking to, & against them we are unable to change our game, so cannot break them down & struggle to beat them. Sitting back & counter attacking is one of the easiest forms of football, & unfortunately shows what we have become.

The manager shouldn't have to motivate players. The money they make to play should motivate them.

I'm on less a year than these players get in a week. My manager doesn't have to motivate me to do the job every day.
So you think Klopp and Pep don't give speeches to their players to motivate them. Klopp is bouncing up and down on the touchline the whole match. Ole just sits there.

we kind of go one step forward (against the so-called bigger teams) and then two steps back ( against the lesser teams). With the same players. So that has to be a mental thing. For that, Im afraid, we have to blame the manager. I love Ole but he seems to be out of his depth here. But who do you take to replace him. Supposedly Mourinho was the best manager in the world but he failed. Would Poch make a difference? Ancelotti? I doubt it. But we have to keep Pogba. Around him, Rashford (even though he wasnt a lot of good tonight), Greenwood (perhaps), McTominay, we might be able to build a team. Laird, coming through eventually and there does seem to be some talent in the under 23's. But Mata, Lingard, Martial ? Nah. There time is done. Get rid.

Ole out.

Don't want to hear anyone bitching about Woodward. Not his fault we cannot beat relegation fodder. We have poured hundreds of millions into this club last five years and nothing to show for it.
You realise the contradiction in your post?

Yup, Pep and Klopp show their feelings.
Ole ‘s demeanour comes across: clueless and apathetic

Wouldn't have done any harm, but the way the chance came about wasn't really the result of great play on our part. Seemed a flukey series of bounces ending up with Martial who had a fairly simple through ball. That chance aside? Zilch.

We don't create enough against this level of opposition, relying on us (especially on our attackers) to put away every chance that comes their way is doomed to fail.

Some posters on here deserve nothing, whinging, moaning making pointless statements. All you want is a merry go round of changing the players, the manager, the coaches until your satisfied that we have the right people in place, then what happens, the new team takes time to gel, the results don't come, then bingo, change the players, the manager, the coaches. We all know the team is currently not good enough, we need better players in certain positions, but unfortunately we live in a society where if something doesn't work, you throw it out and get a new one, for some people that is how they visualise United, let's throw this one away and start again, but in football, that does not work. Sick of all the moaners on here.
What reaction do you expect exactly? 'Nevermind lads, better luck next time'. Of course people are annoyed. These players are like this because Ole and the likes of you let them get away with it.

It's not like he had a wealth of options to choose from.
Oh come on this nonsense has to stop. Sheff United and a zillion others over the past 100 years have proven you don't need 11 very good players to be a very good team. We've shown time and time again under Ole the motivation isn't there to play well every week and that's on the manager. In addition, the level of interplay we show is nowhere near at the level you'd expect after a year listening to the same coach. We have amazingly fast players up top, we've mastered how to play on the counter.......jesus that would be the go-to tactic for any manager in the football league with these players.

France - can't win anything with Swedish turnips
Dreadful ineffective first half.
Gift them two goals and can't get back into the game.

Defence was bad, passing was atrocious, DDG and AWB make two atrocious mistakes.

Continuing to playing a useless idiot who can't pass, can't score, can't dribble and can't tackle who celebrates one year without a PL goal. Wonder why we're so poor against lower teams cos we can't supply the front players or unlock their defence. He has to go!

Only players with any credit were Fred who worked really hard, Pogba who actually can pass the ball and Martial later on when he finally got a bit of service.

Even Maguire is using the *deep block* wording.
After todays game?? It's really starting to piss me off when I hear we can't beat teams because they play a low block. Every time Watford attacked they did so with numbers. The same as against Sheffield, Villa and even feckin Bournmouth. The truth is we're too slow to attack when we win the ball back giving them time to set up. This deep blocked phrase should be banned from the forum because it just isn't true. The problem is players and manager can't motivate themselves against the so called smaller teams and we really are becoming midtable game raisers.

Red Card for Casemiro!
We have some players who just don't belong mentally.

Shaw, Lingard and De Gea all need to be dropped - they were the reasons we lost today. McT, Fred and James collectively had a poor game, misplacing passes, losing possession and Martial was lazy af till Pogba came on.

The most infuriating sight is Ole and co sitting expressionless in the dugout when we're 2-0 down. You can clearly see your players misplacing passes and looking nervous, are we supposed to believe there's nothing you can say to motivate them?

Pogba best player on the pitch - by some distance. He doesn't deserve the shit coming his way.

Beginning to feel like he can't turn this around.

We can't be counterattacking every game.

That’s a full strength squad minus Pogba
The team that played today was our best first 11 on paper - minus the inclusion of Pogba. Who else could he have picked that would have made a difference to the outcome, favorable or otherwise?

I thought the lads were fantastic today and gave their all, to a man. We were very unlucky to lose but you can see the progress on the pitch.

What do I win?

Don't disagree that our football is not good enough under Solskjaer but no one has poured hundreds of millions into this club in the last five years (or ever)... unless you're counting up all the money spent by fans. The club has generated money in revenue, some proportion of which has been spent on the playing staff. Talking about pouring money into United is just a misleading way of describing how our club works.

Maguire quote> ‘We were not good enough and we have to improve. It is something we cannot put our finger on.’

Well that sounds promising doesnt it?
Honestly, it's better to stay quiet if you're just going to come out with nonsense like that. It serves no purpose beyond pissing off the fans.

Could we consider equipping the lads with some kind of VR goggles that make them believe they’re playing the likes of Madrid, Juventus and Bayern every week?

Yes Fred and Pogba but Martial was his usual wasteful disinterested self until Pogbs came on. After that he looked good but, it should not take Pogba coming on to look interested. Only Fred and Pogba looked like trying from the start of their time on the pitch. Worst players on the pitch were our full backs along with McTominay

that would be achievement. Have you seen the squad?
It's funny how peoples opinions keep changing. After Spuds and City the general consensus was once we get Pogba back we'll be making top 4 easily. It's excuse after excuse. Don't tell me now Watford have a better squad than us or Sheffield or Villa or Everton or Bournmouth or Palace or Westham or Newcastle or even feckin Rochdale.
