If our club was actually infiltrated by scousers after SAF retired and Gill left, I genuinely doubt they would have managed to put us in a worse state than we are now. We are an absolute joke from top to bottom.

Honestly, it's better to stay quiet if you're just going to come out with nonsense like that. It serves no purpose beyond pissing off the fans.
True and very worrying that the ‘future captain’ ‘leader’ is saying that they are basically clueless. This team is far from being the end product and it needs a proper staff with actual football knowledge. There is a reason why most of the ‘top football’ players dont become great managers and that is a reality. There are exceptions but they are the minority.

I would like to see a better manager at the helm. Then it would be a good thing. Happy days. Christmas. Mince pies. Bing Crosby. Goose.

It's funny how peoples opinions keep changing. After Spuds and City the general consensus was once we get Pogba back we'll be making top 4 easily. It's excuse after excuse. Don't tell me now Watford have a better squad than us or Sheffield or Villa or Everton or Bournmouth or Palace or Westham or Newcastle or even feckin Rochdale.
From day one after terrible summer window I thought all over top 7-8 would be great.

I was reading an article in Fridays Telegraph about Karl Robinson at Oxford United and that he has the players wear the club’s yellow shirt colour in training so the players are use to passing to the shirt; might be a good start for training staff as I lost count at the number of missed passes in today’s game!

Didnt watch the game, did Pogba play as #10 when he came on, or did they change formation somewhat?

And how did he do in the position he played?

So again that's on Ole. if he ain't ruthless enough then he'll pay with his job.
Not ruthless enough? Its impossible to sell 11 players in one window...Was only allowed to buy two overrated (of course) british players. And squad player in James.

You realise that the manager selected those players to play, right?
As I am sure you appreciate there is a vast amount more than simply picking the team.
Things like coaching, player development and improvement, tactics and motivation.
All of these things need to be worked on in order to compete.
Preparation and exicution.

It is obvious that some of these are nothing like as good as they should be.
And as a direct result we are not as well prepared as we should. And we do not exicute as well as we could.

The verdict is in from Ole:

“We didn’t deserve to win the game by the way we played. We were too slow in possession, too slow without the ball, not enough intensity.
“We didn’t have enough to get back. You have to be out there and ready. First half both teams were slow. If you don’t take your chances you get punished.
“We didn’t deserve it today. They took their chances. We didn’t take our chances. You have to earn every inch, every chance.”

Let's all wait until the January window instead of crying in our beer after todays performance vs Watford which was poor. If we strengthen in Jan then I think we'll see a big improvement. In the later stages of the game today, Pogba and Martial were seen to very good effect. Let's hold our horses and be patient a bit longer. It's clear that we need another RvN and he may be on the horizon. I refuse to be downhearted and let the smoke get in my eyes.

Only good thing about that was the combo’s between Shaw, Pogba and Martial. Generally Martial was pretty good throughout the game as was Shaw. Everyone else just abject.

Poor passing, poor decisions and just general lack of ability.
If you thought shaw and martial played well then either you are clueless or only watched the last 8 minutes of the game

He's been allowed to coach these guys for a year. The passing and moving, interplay, everything quite frankly, drops to shockingly low levels far too often. He rightly gets to the summer for me, is backed as far as we can in Jan. But none of that has anything to do with how crap our play is, under Ole, more often than not.

2 wins against teams outside the top 6 and we are halfway through the season. Relegation form.

All true, I just wish he could criticise players aswell. Jose was right all along.

He is saying the right things, but if this is the case, shouldn't he or his staff be up on their feet lighting a fire under some of them? Tell them to speed up.

I thought that Ole had bought himself the January window with the performances against City and Tottenham, but I've changed my mind again. I just don't see how signings alone will elevate this team to the next level.

Considering that we can go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the league with 'tactics', we should be able to swat aside the worst teams in the league with 'tactics' too. Why can we do it with the current set of players with the right tactics against one type of team, and suddenly rely on better quality individuals against the poorer teams?

It's been obvious for a good while now, but the results over the past weeks just further show how he cannot teach this team patterns or a style that is needed to unlock defenses that sit deep.

Even if we sign the best XI in the world, which we're not considering our standing from a sporting POV, they're not going to play to their potential under this management team. In order to reach the top from where we are, we need to make good signings from the bracket just below the top since we're not going to be able to attract the top talents, and we need to be able to develop those players and make them play to their potential.

We need change from the owners, to Woodward, to Ole, and most of the squad.

If it was as simple as that, I would be ecstatic. Things are broken and even prime Ruud would not solve the current situation. Granted, we need a top forward; however, we need that in addition to key additions in several other positions.

I think I’ll flip that around and refer you to where their performance threads are where the majority seem to be agreeing with what I’ve said so maybe you need to rethink who is being clueless.

No he wasn't. You don't throw your players under the bus. You tell them in private and sell them if need be at the first opportunity if they are not meeting your expectations. Thus letting the dressing room know you will have their back but in return if they don't return the favour, they have no future here.

That's actually pretty fair. Was expecting a 'we deserved it because we made that one chance in the first half'.

Yes Fred and Pogba but Martial was his usual wasteful disinterested self until Pogbs came on. After that he looked good but, it should not take Pogba coming on to look interested. Only Fred and Pogba looked like trying from the start of their time on the pitch. Worst players on the pitch were our full backs along with McTominay
Disinterested self?
He doesn’t move: he's shite. He does move now but doesn’t get the right pass and is offside: he’s shite.

Make up your minds.

Agreed. You would think that would be the first prerequisite of any side Solskjaer fields now, given that he’s been in the role for a year and has harped on about it consistently in that time.

Think a lot of people are concerned that last season when he said some players would not be here this season. That our idea of who should have gone and his are a bit different. Yes he got rid of players and they maybe didn't suit his style of wanted to go for playing time. However how he can think the likes of Shaw, Mata, Lingard, Jones can still be here is unfathomable. Potential players will be watching Ole and I am not sure some will want to put their football careers in his hands.

For the first time ever I felt a bit of sympathy for Pogba. When he came on the difference between him and the rest was night and day but then I wonder how long it's going to take for him to fall to their level then the sympathy goes away but I do agree he can't do it all on his own. We have a lot better team than what was shown today which is down to both the players and the manager but I for one don't believe that no other manager out there couldn't do a better job than what we're currently seeing.

Watford are garbage, we were worse, could not find a red shirt with a basket ball and someone pushing a shopping trolley to catch it, worst passing I've seen from a premier league side, awful, Watford must have thought who the feck are we against. Ok bit better after a few changes, way to late, mistakes mistake, can except them from the younger players. DDG, what a mistake. Last time I saw one of them was in a under 11s park football. I think the lad needs contacts ? Hope its put behind them and the way to do it is a another game quick and that's boxing day.

Why wasn't there enough intensity? Didn't he realise Watford are fighting for their PL existance? What did he say at half-time to instill more intensity?

I imagine Ole along with the brains trust gave a rousing speech at half time which is why we had some shots in the second half.
