Have you seen this, Mods? What happened to attacking the post (like @lysglimt did), not the poster? I've got posters wishing death on me, here.

I just revisited the rules and there isn't one about referring to Ole, or any other manager, as a Gammon. Just so you know.

On a final note, I wasn't being completely serious, I've decided not to take this football club or our situation seriously until those in power start doing the same.
You shouldn't be calling anyone gammon. The gammon insult is a play on race baiting. Nobody and I mean nobody should be subject to any kind of racial slur/insult. This is a place for football not political and/or racial insults. Tit

That looks like another personal attack on a poster there, young man, not a post! Read the forum rules, there's a good young man.

Could be but I have a feeling there s something going on behind the scenes.
Ah yes like the people who could feel he would never play for United again. Utter tripe just being used as a way to justify hating the man.

He will leave eventually and most likely in the summer but he won't be abandoning us for any malicious reason other than the fact he is playing for a mediocre team with little to no ambition.

Not a crime, who in there right mind would want to spend their peak at us? I wouldn't.

This is not about hating anyone. His agent admitted that he wanted to go to Real Madrid because of Zidane.
The player has his own reasons for wanting out - I don't speculate about those.
What is less secretive ....is the motive of his agent :)

Juve swapping Mandzukic to make space for Haaland? Won’t be too far fetched a thought i think
The Italian media is saying someone like Haaland is a better fit to Sarri s game than the strikers he currently has at his disposal.

Raiola working his magic. German press saying he wants to join one of the German clubs, English press saying United, Italian press saying Juve.
This might be sacrilege but actually, rather than Haaland, I can imagine Martial doing well at Juve. His style would suit the Italian league, I reckon.
You are both right, market strategies are often smokescreens... it is good we got a couple of bad losses in Dec because they still have a transfer window to make amendments, that’s why I’m reasonably sure Paratici made an inquiry through Raiola for the kid and will be proactive in January... that said, it’s anyone’s guess, muppets are muppets everywhere.

For the record - I have always thought of you as one of the most intelligent of the most OGS-Criticals - so needless to say I was a bit disappointed with that post

I really don't understand letting Matic go unless they have another midfielder lined up. There's really zero depth at that position beyond Pereira and Garner.
Let's hope that we've identified some midfielders then.

It's only if we don't that it's a worry, otherwise this is a positive thing. Plus Matic has effectively been frozen out ready for replacement anyway.

Below is a excerpt from the above article and the reason I have absolved the scouts of blame for our recruitment post SAF. I've also believed Woodward has been very naive in giving too much power to the managers and below is a reason why. I also get the impression that Maguire was also vetoed by the likes of Bout and Lawlor along with Boateng whilst Mourinho was manager. So it's worrying that Woodward would then revert to type under Ole. Let's hope we've learned from our mistakes.

James Robson: "To illustrate how dysfunctional the club’s recruitment strategy was at that time, scouts would warn Woodward against signing Van Gaal’s targets because they weren’t" ‘United players.’

But the executive vice chairman felt obliged to trust his manager’s judgement – something he was heavily-criticised for not doing when vetoing Jose Mourinho’s attempts to sign Maguire and Jerome Boateng in the summer of 2018.

Robson also says that Ole wants 2 midfielders, right sided attacker and a striker.

So who allowed Maguire's signing this transfer window?

Italian and French press: Can (Juventus) swap for Paredes (PSG) well poised to happen in one form or another asap.

Nah - it's stupid, insulting and totally off the mark - but not racist
A term used to describe a particular type of Brexit-voting, europhobic, middle-aged white male, whose meat-faced complexion suggests they are perilously close to a stroke.

It's not a very delicate slur, and is tied to a ethnicity?

Hate gammon and who the hell decided to put a pineapple on it

#mufc are ready to listen to offers for Matic and Rojo in January. Two Premier League clubs are interested in signing Matic with Rojo being monitored by Spanish and Italian clubs #mulive [times]
These things always make me laugh. You can literally accept offers all year round.

Putting a pineapple on the gammon was an inspired idea as the citric acid breaks down the meat fibres and makes it more tender.

Who the hell decided to cook and serve the gammon is the more pertinent question.

I imagine a lot of teams wouldn't want to agree deals for players a long time before they can actually sign thrm in case of injury.
