This is embarassing. I don't even know where to start. We try to play it from the back but our defenders just keep passing it back to De Gea because other than Fred nobody else is showing for the ball...

I also don't understand our "press". City have 4 defenders yet we have 2 players chasing. Usually just Rashford and Greenwood with James standing way off until Mendy gets the ball. Then he steps forward. What's the point of a press if we are going to give them easy outlets. Either have James up pressing early or don't press at all.

Perierra...Where do I start. At fault for the first two goals and unlucky for the own goal. Silva is a midfielder who is allowed to dribble in while Perierra is standing near the 18. The commentators mentioned Jones (who could have stepped up too), but why isn't Perreira the first one to step up? On the second goal when it's headed to Sivla, Perierra makes a slight run to the right as Silva dropped his shoulder that way. That allowed him to turn up field easily and pick up Mahrez. Shoulder fakes are Sunday league in that position. Perierra's first thought should be to get goal side, not to fall for a shoulder drop and try and pick off a back pass. Amature hour at its best...

    Jones...Jones, Jones, Jones. 'nuff said

Williams....don't try and buy a foul. VAR will snuff it out. Just clear the ball. He had every chance to just punt it into the stands but he decided to try a dive to get a foul rather than give away a throw in. He's young, so he will get a pass this time and hope he learns from that...

Rashford...why are you slowing down as soon as you get the ball. We are on the counter attack and he stops to allow City to get goal side...

AWB....go get the cones and practice your dribbling. I have never seen a professional lack in such a basic skill in the way that he does

Lingard....Go flaunt your clothing line in Italy. Get the transfer done Raiola

Lindeloff....you have turned your back twice on shots so far today that I've seen. The first was a goal. Not that you could have blocked it but show some balls

Ole....you are going to have to make some big adjustments in the second half or this is going to get embarassing

I just want us to work as a unit for once. Relying on individual brilliance is such a shit midtable/relegation team way of playing.

The Lindelof apologists will have to put in a shift tonight, fecking hell he's been awful.

How has some of these players managed to survive for so long at this club?
Is there anyone left that still thinks he's better than Smalling? Worryingly the manager got carried away like most on here.

William's did well managing to get back and get the ball off them for the 3rd goal he was just unlucky KDB was right there although that's perhaps what you get if players anticipate the runs, Jones needed to have dealt with KDB

Yeah they spent plenty of money. Just the powers that be wasted it. Now they seem to have said enough is enough. Which is going to leave us in very bad shape. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.
They are going to sell the club soon or they will lose lots of value.

They have De Bruyne; we have Lingard. They have Silva; we have andreas. Andreas and Lingard are simply no where near good enough.

Rashfords head is down as well and he is captain for the night.

The whole club is just toxic. Rotten. The City players are proactive while our players are reactive.

Lingard just has to be sold or let go. He signifies everything that has gone wrong with the club since Ferguson left. If Lingard starts against Norwich i am not wasting ten euro in the pub to watch him. Fed up of this charlatan.
His body language is often not of captain standards. Baffling decision to give him the armband.

Jones and Lingard don’t deserve to wear the strip. Absolutely disgraceful nothing players for Utd. The buck stops with the manager and to continue playing these two should be enough reason to change the manager.

Playing De Gea is a mistake. He has lost form, is chicken in one to one situation and crosses. Also he is not prepared mentally for this game and probably expected a day off sitting on the bench.
Lindelof, Jones and Lingard were poor. Signing Koulibaly and Lazio's Savic will solve United defensive and midfield problems. OGS is poor in selection and tactically poor. City will go on and score double in the second half.
Dont think Romero could've done anything about the first goal, but i agree dropping him was harsh.

Also, i doutb we will sign another defender. Just watch City sign Koulibaly or Skriniar, either this month or in the summer.

How old Are you? Genuine question.

Tell me a manager who would make Lindeløf, Andreas, Fred and Lingard good enough to challenge City and Liverpool. Thats almost half of the 11 clearly to leves below the quality needed.
Harsh to put Fred in a list with Lingard

Ole has been so naive letting us go into the season with this paper thin squad. you could argue his first choice 11 looks reasonable on paper but once you get 2/3/4/5 injured (always happens) there is just no quality backup players to come in.
its just poor and naive management bordering on incompetence.

If city loose 4 or 5 players they have real class options waiting to come in... (bar the keeper position)

No doubt Ole won’t make a change at half time because apparently you need another 15 minutes to assess whether shit players are still shit.

I wouldn't be opposed to it at this stage.

Something has to change and the match goers can help that happen with their vocal contributions.
Yeah I don't know how to respond to that without getting banned for insulting you

Unable to watch the game right now, probably for the best.

We’re fekked as a football club of any real relevance. A glorious history, a miserable present and little hope for a better future.

I agree. However ole is a problem as well. He's clueless
True but we could get in anyone in the world and they’d struggle with this set up, I’m just gutted that Ole is being exposed like this, I wish he’d never come in in the first place.

If that performance or display was from a jose, lvg or moyes team they would of been booed and harrassed off the pitch.
Glazers knew that ole is teflon and would save them millions in his tenure.

I hate losing but this passive shit is killing me. I know we'll probably leave gaps but we can't continue to sit back because the midfield and defence are nowhere near good enough.

City's defence is no great shakes and we haven't tested them at all. Even our pressing is crap.... one or two go, but others stay giving them an easy out pass.

    Death by a thousand cuts.

On a serious note it's now time the match fans let's those feckers who own our club know we hate the cnuts and to f off back and ruin another American sports team. The fans need to let them know its over and let who ever who has lots of money takeover.

Just so red up with the pathetic way our club is being ruined.

    Rant nearly over
I hate the ownership like any other fan. But the dire football on display is not their fault today. Bad team selection, No tactical awareness no passion. It's a joke

That world-renowned knower of all things football, Darren Fletcher, was interviewed a short while ago.

Worse than giving Mata 2 more years? Worse than signing Sanchez? Worse than the deals Rooney and De Gea got? Worse than waiting for Ole to start losing games and then making him permanent manager despite him having NO OTHER SUITORS? Worse than letting Herrera leave for free and not replacing him? Worse than signing Fellaini for more than his recently expired release clause? Worse than giving Jose an extended contract and not backing him? Worse than signing Maguire for £80m a year after he wasn't worth £70m?

All we do is make the worst possible decision in any given situation.
It's a long list but Jones does my head in.

I do want to add that the first goal is always important, especially against a possession based side like City. They have caught on the counter twice and we've conceded. Hopefully, we can give a good account of ourselves in the second half. Get stuck in and make it look like we fecking care.
