An amazing finale, Disney should stop with the horrible movies for awhile and focus on what's actually good like this. This is the best Star Wars have put out since the original trilogy.

And with Deborah Chow at the helm, I have high hopes for upcoming Obi Wan series.

Simple stuff bring simple joy. The droid was programmed to do good and honourable things, something Mando could finally relate to and in some way it was his way too. Star Wars finally make sense and it's amazing.

Gideon has a chance to become show's Admiral Thrawn, if they'll write him with respect to Lucas' work and so far it kinda looks like it. Tons of potential in the character, already instills more respect than Snoke and Kylo.

The discrepancy between on and off-screen troopers had officially peaked. Although I appreciate Taiko putting that “accurate shooting” scene beforehand, it was brilliant.

They had managed to massacre dozens of Mandalorians (in full equipment, so even more experienced than Mando) off screen, yet 6 troopers can’t handle 1 Mandalorian with 2 melee weapons while holding her at gunpoint...

This scene made the ending a bit weird, surely they could’ve easily murdered the whole platoon... especially since, as we’ve seen, they didn’t start shooting once the enemy emerged from the tunnel. In fact, they didn’t start shooting at all:lol:

I quite enjoyed it overall, but the fact that there was never even a slightest possibility of harm coming towards the main characters made it a bit blander than it could’ve been.

Great stuff once again. Best part: "Come one baby, do the magic hand thing." Got me in stitches. Gonna use that line at some point.

Storm troopers joke was a bit on the nose but still fun.

Finished season last night. As much as most were looking forward to this show and the hype it was getting, it was a let down. I'll still watch as it's a decent series but the writing and acting is questionable. As much money as Disney has I'm hoping we see an improvement in season 2. I don't think Favreau is the guy to be running this series. I see people on Twitter falling over themselves with praise for the Mandalorian, they all have blinders on.

Absolutely loved the finale. I think the series had a few missteps in the middle but overall it's the best thing Star Wars I've seen in a long time. Pedro Pascal just nails everything he is and Taikka Waititi can do no wrong as a director.

Amazing finale, brilliant series... Puts the latest Star Wars film to complete shame.

That scene with the two Stormtroopers is one of the best Star Wars scenes in the modern era... Certainly one of my favourites anyway.

Was a decent binge watch. Some of the episodes were great, others were a bit flat. Hopefully the writing and character arcs continue to develop in the next round to keep things interesting.

Just finished it and loved it.

"Come on baby, do the hand thing"
Wonderful stuff. As good as pressing buttons in the 4th episode and trying to fly the ship in the 8th episode I think.

Anyway I enjoyed the hell out of it and will watch it again quite happily.

I can't help but find Roasario Dawson a bit of a strange cast for Ahsoka.

This was part of the Mandalorian Disney+ stuff.

Dave Filoni is the true apprentice to George Lucas. Not given Filoni the create reign over the main franchise has been Disney's mistake.

Looking for the answers...
Binged seasons 1 of this yesterday, really enjoyed it.

The Child / Baby Yoda is the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen on TV. I want one.

Question for anyone that knows more than I do re the timing of the Mandalorian in the timeline.

Google tells me:

“The Mandalorian takes place around 9 ABY (after the Battle of Yavin, the attack on the first Death Star) which isfive years after Return of the Jedi. The events in The Force Awakens happen in 34 ABY. This puts The Mandalorian much closer to the original trilogy than the new trilogy.”

If that’s the case why does Mando not really know who the Jedi are/were?

I mean, people probably heard about them, but they became more like urban legends or similar. If I recall correctly, Luke himself heard about them in the New Hope, but still didn't know what the lightsaber was.

It was a more civilized galaxy, without internet and twitter.
