At least finding a song for him will be relatively easy.

Is he a box to box player? Playmaker? Destroyer and closing gap type?
He's quite versatile. In this season he's played all 3 roles. #10, #8 and #6. From what I'm hearing he's getting compared to Dele Alli. For the record, he gets a lot of praise about his attitude.

Never seen him play personally but I've heard he's meant to be brilliant. @jb8521 do you know anything about this lad?

Seen him a couple of times at St Andrews and he doesn't look fazed at all. All the Bluenoses I know are terrified of losing him. You wouldn't think he was 16 at all.
The price tag for a 16 year old isn't messing around. I dont know a lot about this kid but that price tag screams potential Rooney level talent.

Madrid's last two 16 year old signings have been €40m+ I think? The price tag for this guy seems tiny considering he's English.

By the sounds of things it would be like getting Sancho when he left City.

Jude Bellingham is a player like Pogba and Gravenberch (Ajax). I think he's the most talented of England's 2003 generation that includes Liverpool's Harvey Elliot (just bought this summer from Fulham). If we wanted a Pogba understudy, Bellingham would be a great fit. That's actually a very talented generation drawing comparisons to the 2000 generation (Sancho, Foden, CHO, Gomes). I've seen him play for England u17s (as the #8 of the side) and he's the best one on the team. They've outplayed teams off the park similar to that 2000 generation.

Not a particular work horse, but will get stuck in when needed. I think he'll be a good dribbler similar to Pogba from the middle of the park, and can provide some through balls, but also link up well in and around the box. He's still only 16 so it's a bit harder to see that quality against men compared to his time for the u17s.

We'd do well to get Sancho and Bellingham, which would set us up for the next 10 years to play alongside Greenwood, Gomes, Garner, Levitt, Rashford, Williams, Laird, Henderson, Mejbri, and Tuanzebe.

Heard a lot of good things about this lad. Similar style of play to Pogba.

Sign him and loan him back to Birmingham City for 2 seasons so he can continue getting competitive 1st team football?

Is there any incentive for Birmingham to develop him if we do sign him? For all they care, they can use that money (which is a lot for a Championship club) to sign someone established in this window and forget about Jude.

Always feel weird about these sign and loan-back type deals, I'm glad we haven't been involved in any notable ones.

The incentive would be he is so good he would be useful for them. Not just playing him to develop him.

Didn't we do that with Zaha ?
I guess it's a bit different if the situation is that we're insisting on loaning him back rather than the selling club asking for it. In Zaha's case if I'm not wrong Palace tried their hardest to delay the transfer till Summer.

If Birmingham aren't asking for him to be loaned back I don't think it's something we should push for. For me, I'm just personally not comfortable with it, the player is in an environment where the management know he's not part of the plans, the fans won't back him. I just don't think there's that much to be gained from it. I'd rather loan him to a completely different club that would genuinely want him for a season, who do have plans for him.

Him playing another year in the Championship will mean he ends next season as a 17 year old. Birmingham is his club so he won't feel the same pressure as most teenagers do when being loaned, and he'll have the backing of his manager as he's already getting played as a 16 year old. They can use the money for his sale on another player, while he is now better so the team is overall strengthened more than just a replacement.

They would have a much stronger chance at promotion with a better Bellingham + the transfer fee used on another player at the same time.

Again, if it's something Birmingham actively want then I'm all for it. But I just get the feeling a lot of posters are fabricating a scenario where it's United insisting on loaning him back as a deal sweetener when Birmingham may not have even asked for it. If the latter is the case, they may sign a replacement and move on as Jude would no longer would have connections with the club, they would have no reason to develop a United player, they'd have every right to let him rot. If they do want to make use out of him then it's great for all parties.

I think Bellingham would like it because it's his childhood club. He would love to help them get promoted. And I think it makes sense as a club because they're essentially keeping the same team, but with an added player(s) without having to pay. They're stronger as a side with Bellingham + whichever player they buy. How could they not be?

Bellingham is probably in no rush to play PL football. Like I said, if he gets loaned for a season, he'll still have his debut United season as an 18 year old (Greenwood's age now). Bonus is that he's on bigger wages than he is currently on.

He is a class act. There's a lot of top clubs trying to get him. I just hope he doesn't go too soon then go to a top club and be on the bench all of the time. He could be an elite player in 3-5 years.
