Regardless of the opposition he has 6 goals in about 90 minutes of football in a new league. It’s crazy. As you say though he won’t be at Dortmund for long.
Weird i got notification for this post.

Missed out on a generational talent in a position we desperately need to fill because we were too prideful to accept a bloody staggered release clause. Even if he fecked off after 3 years, odds are we'd be in a far better position then than we are now.

He just keeps banging them in, terrible goalkeeping for that last one but he's just always in the right position and at the right time. It's a mark of the great strikers, and he already has that at his age.

8 shots, 7 goals and won one penalty in 134 minutes of Bundesliga play so far. Totally mindblowing!

Yes he's made an impressive start, but the opposition has been Koln, Augsburg and Union Berlin.
Considering Ole's current record against relegation fodder, I'd chalk this up as a plus too.
It's looking pretty ominous though, seems like he'll smash the Bundesliga before being snapped up by Bayern on a free.
He has a staggered release clause of like 60 odd million that activates in his third season so I doubt he's going anywhere for free.

Even though the release clause is a couple seasons away - it isn't too far away.. Surely Dortmund are feeling some pressure building already - literally every club with a transfer budget and a history are going to be looking at the lad now.

Well - the combination of him and King up front - Ødegaard and Berge in midfield and Ajer in defense - looking good for Norway at least

Lacks a lot of quality in the team, but it certainly looks like Norway for once has a shot of making a tournament.

Still gutted we couldn't get him in, we're desperate for goals and presence up front. Unbelievable start, and to think a sizeable portion of the forum didn't want him..

Who the hell is this @Pigeon geezer? @Wonder Pigeon I can accept because technically he sounds like a cheap magician knock-off of myself but this other guy makes it look like he's the original. Time to sharpen up my stabbing spoon.
Technically you are the knockoff, seeing as Wonder Pigeon signed up in 2006 and you in 2014. :p

I think that we fecked up here. We overpay average players but when we can sign top player then we decide to not go over the limit and we decide to make a stand "nobody is bigger than Man Utd". If release clause was the problem so what? Sign him now and then in a year or two offer him new contract without that clause. He will want new contract anyway after some time.

Yeah but I was born in 1987 and so I'm at least (doing the maths in my head) seventy years older than him.

I think that the stand we made was on a windy and grey morning as the rain clattered onto the shelter and we were waiting for a bus that wasn't coming since he had already decided that he didn't want to join us.

Exactly, We really need someone like him for now and who knows what happens after 3 years? Probabaly he might have wanted to stay with UTD.

We missed the trick here by playing it hard. Getting more minutes at Dortmund or a better play by Dortmund is BS as you know its more down to agents these days. I think Riola could have convinced him to join us if we decided to give him more leverage in Haaland's next move.

Wondering if there's more Pigeon folk lurking on the caf, but I exhausted my amazing resources of typing in 'pigeon' and was spent after you 3. @Damien ?

@Pigeon sounds a lot more sinister than you and @Wonder Pigeon , mind. Like the pigeon you don't wanna meet in a dark alley. The one that gives you pigeons a bad name!

Honestly, I can see this kid being the best striker on the planet in a few years. I know its a bold claim but he really does have something about him - he's bossing it now in a much better league than the one he came from. Seems a total natural.

At this rate, I can see Madrid making a move from him in a year or two. Too shiney a toy for them to stay away.
