Pep & Klopp are too tactically advanced to use a winger like Sancho on the right - if he's coming he's playing on the left for them. They both like inverted forwards because it balances their attack aswell as their ability to press aswell as the full backs to constantly mkae overlapping runs in terms of Liverpool or the Attacking midfielders like De bryune in terms of City.
Do you not remember Peps 100 point season where he played Sterling on the right and Sane on the left?

Imagine if Liverpool win the PL n CL double and then sign Sancho with the Prize money. There's going to be meltdown.

Mane is arguably Liverpool’s most important player. Why would they sell him?
I don't think he will that's why I don't think Sancho will go to Liverpool.

Sancho doesn't fit anyone's tactics as they currently are & I don't see why they should change it.

The only two clubs Sancho fits is for Pochettino's United where he aims to build the same tactics seen from his Espanyol, Southampton & Spurs days - or Chelsea's need to still replace Hazard from the left wing.

However as I said I don't think Chelsea's owner cares as much to invest in a potentially + 120 mil transfer in comparison to a 50 mil transfer for ziyech.

But they swapped too & that's because Sane was not as good on the right as he was on the left.

Pep have used Sterling on the right and Klopp used Mane as a RW for a year. Plus, they could buy Sancho and put him on the left, where he has been great for Dortmund.

I would imagine Man City, who probaly is selling Sane, and Liverpool are his prefered destination if he dont get the CL. That being said, Man Utd will always have a special attraction to players.

I just cant help feeling we will not get him and will rather be pleasently surprised if we do than disappointed if we dont.

United won't be in the Champions League next season, I am very doubtful this deal will materialise unless United are his only option.

Liverpool and City are attractive for the near future and like you said Manutd will always be an attractive proposition to players.

Add that the wages Manutd pay.

I would like to get him but won't be surprised if we don't. We should go quite hard for him and make other teams pay top dollar though.

Well Klopp will retire won’t he? He did say he’d quit if he had to spend huge amounts after we bought Pogba

Won't get in there through the league, that's for sure.

I'm still clinging on to the fact we can get to the semi finals of the Europa League somehow with Pogba, Mctominnay n Bruno playing. Hopefully Ighalo can get off to a flyer for us as well.

If we do get to the last 4, Rashford would likely be available as the first leg of the semi finals is 7th May. That would be 3.5 months of recovery time for him.

We will not go past Club Brugge let alone Semi final.

Hottest commodity in Europe right now. Its not impossible him joining up but looks very unlikely. Can choose any top club surely we'd be low in the pecking order. Would be a massive signing if we pull this off. Sancho is on a different level.

If City can manage to get 100M € for Sané next summer I could see them coughing up the 120M - 150M € for Sancho and let's not forget Sancho can just like Sterling play on the right and the left.
City has to solve their defensive issues first. Aguero is ageing.
They need a world class CB, a LB, a CM (Fernandinho and Silva leaving), a forward to compete with Aguero. Wing is not their priority at this moment.
And Sancho would not want to sit in the bench and compete with Mahrez and Bernando.

Liverpool don't really make signings like him, do they? He'd cost so much, destroy their wage structure, and wants to start every week. There'd need to be a lot of change for him to end up there I think.

Just the minor hurdles of Liverpool, PSG and Real Madrid to clear.

Barca, City, Bayern and Juve might also have a good look at him.
Apparently wants to return to England. Hard enough to sign him without making up hurdles!

Being CL and PL champions should be enough to attract him without offering obscene wages. As for price, the fact is they can probably afford him, they paid 70m+ for VVD and Alisson, and that is before they even won any major trophy. However I can only see this happening if one of Mane/Salah leaves.

I seriously doubt anyone will have a free run at Sancho, especially when he will only have 2 years left of his contract.

Personally I'm not convinced 100M for Sancho is good business. A lot of risk when United have virtually no room for error in the transfer market and lack depth. The only saving grace is his marketing potential making up for a lot of the fee.

Jeez, have some sugar. You are so sour, like a lemon.

This is one of the most expensive deal in the history of football, I’m sure those teams that want him have already been working on this for a while. It’s not like you sort this kind of a deal out in a week or two. I reckon this has been a work in progress for a while now, just like the Pogba deal was.

Its a completely other question if he is willing to come here.

Sancho is one of the rare player that I absolutely rate, he was genuinely great at youth level and he has easily adapted to senior football. He is the only young player in Mbappé's territory.

Agreed. One player that I thought outshone Greenwood at youth level and I thought MG was pretty damn special.

The thought of them playing together, and Rashford as well, is a bit of a dream line up

City could easily make room for him. Sane looks likely to leave in the summer and they can move Bernardo centrally to replace David Silva.

Mahrez has largely been a rotation player anyway.

I think they have other areas they will be more concerned with anyway and while they have spent a lot of money they don't tend to spend huge money on one player.
Yup agreed, they'll probably strengthen defensively (LB, CB, DM) this season.

Him and Rashford as wide forwards would be a dream for Utd but knowing your board they will be preparing a bid all summer and leaving the coast clear for someone else to come in and grab him.

I think we can get him and we just have to sell him on the clubs long term vision for success and how he's a key part of that. Imo if we can get Grealish and Sancho in the summer to team up with Bruno, Rashford, and Martial we will have a very exciting attack. (We'll still need to add depth.)

If we have any chance of getting him, unfortunately it’ll be either the end of Ole, or we go on a run to become outstanding for the next few months.
I only see Sancho coming of it’s the start of a new (Poch) project. Otherwise, I can’t see us getting any target who is highly wanted.

Well, it looks quite likely that we'll go for both Sancho & Poch this summer? It definitely improves our chances of getting Sancho in the first place.
Hmmmm, isn't Pochs a bit of a sulk towards narrow formations with no wingers? I am just asking so don't shoot the messenger

He'll either go to Chelsea in a deal that gets is done quickly well before the season.... or there will be a long, drawn out saga where United end up paying £20M extra as he becomes the last possible option to sign right before the transfer deadline.
Yea, we will be pursuing Matty Phillips as our first option before settling for Sancho. Of course.
