Quite simply, he has the hallmark of a united number 7. If we get 5 years out of him and he can develop the way it looks like he can, he’s worth a > 100m transfer fee, so pay it.

easily worth the price. He's young, British, has the talent, and flair.

Would be perfect for the 7 shirt and massive marketing appeal. Makes sense in every approach, on and off the field

Chelsea had a loss of 96m last year, they will need to shop at Aldi next summer.
But I fear no CL no fun on this.

I'm worried If this goes ahead then that will be our only signing this summer. If that's the case I'd rather we just spent big on Grealish, Koulibaly and a cheaper RW and a top class forward (I'm including Pogba being sold here)

If Sancho isn't our only signing and we aren't blowing the whole budget on him then I would be very happy but have doubts

I would blow the budget on him so long as we retain Pogba.

We have been crying out for a right winger since Nani left.

He is super talented and young. Fits our new transfer strategy :p
Don't know if 'super talented' fits our transfer strategy :p

Real pretty much paid that for Hazard last Summer and Barca have done it on three players in the last three years so why wouldn't they for the best, available young talent in Europe?
Barcelona’s wage expenditure is well documented. They can’t spend without selling at the moment due to FFP and I doubt they can afford another £100m this coming summer unless they clear out first.
Real won’t pay the money Dortmund want, they wouldn’t pay anywhere near what we wanted for Pogba and they waited until Hazard was affordable before buying him.

Chelsea signed ziyech today so they are probably not after sancho.
They are getting rid of Willian and Pedro this summer which leaves them with Pulisic & Hudson Odoi. It makes sense for them to get Ziyech and Sancho as that would give them enough depth. United are bottom of the queue with Chelsea or Liverpool ahead of us.

Not sure why you think Chelsea would be ahead of us in the queue. They're not exactly lighting up the league.

Sancho and Grealish would make an EXCELLENT summer in my eyes. Would actually leave me looking forward to the start of a season for the first time in years.

Not that it matters too much but Chelsea have always been his favorite team and he would like to come back to London (home). Lampard vs. Ole as a manager??? I think it's pretty obvious who would he rather play with. Lampard's got more managerial intelligence as opposed to Ole.

The CL and the Euros and how he sees the season out will determine Sancho's value. Dortmund have no reason to do any kind of deal before the Euros unless an astronomical offer is placed by an eager bidder.

this. We’re crying out for someone on the RW. And he has all the credential to be someone who can take us to the next level.

I don’t think this position is a key area for many of our competitors. He left City as he wanted to play regular first team football, he would get that at United.

he’s still young, so playing football is key for his development and for him to get regular football in the international step up. As again England are strong up top.

This thread is bizarre. It's literally full of people complaining we won't get him. So should the club not bother no? Pessimistic bastards.

He fits the profile of what at are looking for and if he wants to return to the PL it's not far fetched to think he'll come here. It's quite possible that Chelsea know this hence the early move to snap up Ziyech.

Hes 19 and if he comes here for 4 years on the highest wages he will be offered by any club,he still will be young enough to go down the Spain/Italy route, using us as a stepping stone. Thats unless we massively improve as a team in that time and he sees it as a long term project. I think thats why Pogba came back, the massive wages and if the prospect of Mourinho didnt make us win the big trophies, he could move on again.

They are ahead of us for a champions league spot though.

I would pay the the fee in a heartbeat. He fills all the boxes for what the club is looking at doing. We still have some serious holes in the starting 11.
I would love to keep Pogba after adding him, however I sadly think that ship has sailed.

That being said I think if we appoint Ole as DoF and appoint Poch as manager we would make it a little harder for him to leave.

They're resigning Boga from Sassoulo as they have a cheap release clause is the rumour. Chelsea as a club aren't that rich without Ibramovich propping them up.

Knew it wouldn't be long until the English media mentioned Liverpool in the mix...

For the record, I can't see Liverpool spending that kind of money on him. City are more likely to do that then them.

Liverpool can afford anything we can. Their kit deal will be worth double ours next season.

So which one of their 3 front are they selling? Because Sancho sure as hell isn't joining for 100m+ to sit on the bench.

If it was someone other than the Daily Mail I would pay attention. They've been fairly shocking with transfer stuff as of late. I think whoever gets him will do what Chelsea are doing with Ziyech and what we did with Depay - get it done before the end of the season. His value is not going to go down over the summer.

It's a reputable reporter, this guy broke Daniel James way before anyone else did.

Liverpool has to break that front 3 to sign him and it will be a record wage as well. Means, Mane or Salah will look for similar deals.

I dont think Liverpool would spend that kind of money . They are not desperate like us.
