Don't over-rate the Man Utd players in the game just because you're a fan. They are the fourth best team in England and the player's stats should reflect that.

I'll be doing it my way, as I have always done. Manchester United are the most played team in the game (official from Sports Interactive) which is natural as they are the biggest club in the world. I've not had any complaints from them on my work so far... only compliments.

So if they are happy, you should be too... a.k.a. relax :)

I'll put him in... but the problem is that I have not had it absolutely confirmed that he's in our adademy... can anything please confirm they've seen him play for our youngsters?

As soon as I know for sure, he'll be in.

P.S. Thanks for all who sent me the team files... I've started adding them and all the lads will be in the fame as fictional staff :) But of course not at United.

will FC United be in it if the team is announced in time?

Does it go down the league that far?

If the wanking Soccer AM Badgers are in it, then I'm sure FC United will be...

Sorry for digging this up. But do any of you have FM 2006 training and tactics files?

One hell of a bump, this. Fifteen fecking years!
Nostalgia. That was the life before being work and responsibilities completely took over. Reinstalled it yesterday. But all resources for this game seem to have vanished into obscurity on the web.

I dont. But i remember two Belarusian players: sergei Kislyak (striker) and sergei Kisliy (midfielder). Give them 2 seasons and they turn out legends.

Kisliy was the striker. And do you remember Freddy Guarin?

Ah perhaps i mixed them. I also recall it was tough sometimes do take Work Permit for them.

I remember Guarin as a player, but not on FM. In reality, i think we were linked back in 2011 or something.

Just make your own tactics, they weren’t advanced or detailed back then like they are now. I used to win leagues by just setting a formation, didn’t even use team instructions etc.

Was the striker dirt cheap? The go to 500k signing for a lower league side? I remember. Balazs Dzsudzsak was another solid lower league signing as well.

FM 2006 was the last FM I dedicated my life too. I turned Fernando Cavenaghi into a goalscoring machine worth 30 mil for Preston, then he rejected a contract and Arsenal signed him for free. That was the final straw, haven't played the game since.

@The Wizard hasn't been online since 2013. If he came back to ask for our opinions on FM20 we'd be worse than Burnley!

I would kill to go back to 2005.

Loved FM 2006. Had an amazing save with Palermo and their pink kits. 1-0 wins with Grosso free kicks while listening to the Mars Volta. Great times.

This.

Palermo had Makinwa who was a goal machine. I paired him and Cavenaghi in one game as Betis and I think they both got 35 + goals in one season.

Yeah, both of them were ridiculously cheap. I think you could buy both with less than 2 million. And only the midfielder attracted competition, thus there was a need to act fast.
