Just watching a rerun of Celtic vs Hearts and Karamoko Dembele is playing in the second half. He is looking like a very special talent. Just turned 16. If we're looking for the best british talents around we should be all over this guy!
Watched the game live and he looks unreal doesn’t he? There’s something about his ability the think quickly on the ball which indicates he will be very special indeed. Great talent.

Messilike, and Barcalona has been after him IIRC. Best player on the ball i have seen at that age(since he was 12/13) since Messi. And unlike many similar youngsters with great technical ability, his physicality seems to complement his style of play.

His composure and confidence on the ball are fantastic for such a young player. Would be surprised if he isn't playing regular senior football next season.

In his best ‘play’ he was hacked down but managed to get to his feet at speed, carry the ball 30 yards and get a decent shot away after cutting inside, very impressive.

Can he be considered as the next Gomes or Greenwood?
Youngest player in Youth league, trains with U-18 despite being 15, heard some great things about him. Something just tells me he is considered as the next big talent.
Any inside info?

Think he was 14 at the time.

I felt he made a great case of himself at the 2017 Supercup NI. I believe he was 13 at the time. Technically at a high level already

What a name. For a second I thought this would be about Ameobi.

Yeah he's probably the highest rated to come through the academy recently alongside those 2. He scored twice for the u18s a couple of weeks ago against Spurs.

How is Shoretire going to be fitted into the squad in the future? As a wide goalscorer on the right wing maybe?

Plenty of time for that. ‘On the football pitch’ is good enough for now.

My bosses son is friends with him and Shola goes to my bosses house quite often. She says he is the loveliest lad you could meet.

This kid is the best player in his age group, actually he is the best player in older age groups as well. This kid is the next Greenwood to come through. Lingard was no where near the player at the same age.
I don't understand the reference
Put all the hate you want on Jesse Lingard but i'd imagine those that met him at a similar age as Shola is now would have said exactly the same.

No he's not and he's nowhere near as good as Greenwood or Gomes.

As in ability or being a nice lad? Lingard was average coming through the youth team and there is a reason fergie said he wouldn’t be a first team player until 23. He just wasn’t that good. Shoretire has played for age groups above him and been great.

Greenwood and Gomes are 2 and a half years older than him, Shoretire was the youngest player to play in the UEFA youth league, which is under 19’s. He was 14 at the time. He has the talent and in 3 years time could be where Greenwood and Gomes are now.

Improvement paths aren’t linear but the kid has the talent to get to where they are now. Whether he does or not is different.

That's nonsense - he'd never have been pegged as a future first team player if he "wasn't that good". The reason the coaches always expected Lingard to take longer was because of his stature - he was just too small.

Yes Fergie on decided what age a player would be good enough for the first team by how rubbish they were at a young age. "Luke chadwick- 70 years"

After seeing Greenwood play in our youth setup it's hard for me to be impressed by anyone (at least for a while), but even if Shoretire doesn't look as good as he did he still seems like a good prospect. He does all of the right things from the looks of it.

Not sure what youth games you were watching...but Lingard was a key member of that team and much more than 'average'. The only only thing holding him back was his size and that was what Ferguson was referring to. After Morrison, Lingard was technically the best player in the team.

What you make of him? Obviously, he found the level of U-18 much more challenging than 15-year olds Angel or Mason (although he became 16 not long ago), but still has made a progress. Can he become that "next" star from academy? And do you think his best position is playing on the flanks? It seems like he likes to operate more centrally.

To be fair Mason had only played 3/4 games for the u18s at the age Shola is now. I think his best position is behind the striker but we have so many players in that position that it makes sense to give him games of the wings.

He reminds me a little about a young Jesse Lingard. People will obviously make fun of that. But he has the same floating style, a great runner with the ball and good technique. He is very young and is doing fine at this level. The one thing I miss is his end product, but we know from experience that that will probably come later. Players like Elanga and even Ramazani were like 17, 18 when they somewhat got that. Exciting player and is a very clever player tactically.

Nothing to be made fun of there. I saw Jesse frequently and even live once or twice. He was technically very gifted and quick.

It’s a fair comparison
