This is not Manchester weather, it's that flood weather you see down south and in Wales.

We should play balls into Martial more often if he can roast defenders like that..

It's hardly rocket science is it?

We have two big games in Chelsea and Brugge away. Big games for our CL chances. Followed by two "lesser" games at home to Watford (obviously under Ole that's a tougher game than City away) and the return leg against Brugge. If we blow them away today we could have rested the entire side at Old Trafford.

Any intelligent manager would have made a couple of changes tonight, then a couple more against Watford, then given the remaining players a rest in the return fixture.

The players have had a two week break. The players finally have some serious momentum after Chelsea, which we've not had since the Spurs and City games. Ole has blown all of that away with this moronic selection.
I don't understand not using Fernades tonight. Surely, it's more familiar to him than playing Watford.

So many of the players on the pitch simply aren't good enough. Martial's pretty much the only one showing any quality. Once again the level of our squad is being horribly exposed. Take a few first XI players out and we turn to diarrhea.
I know what you mean, but ultimately is this actually a positive sign going forward?

I think playing Thursday nights and also having 3 key players out long term hurts.
I don't get the Thursday night excuse cause we rarely if ever play on the Saturday so we get the same amount of break as we would playing Wed/Sat in the CL.

The 3 key players is more telling.

Brugge is the lesser opponent, plus we have a home game against them next Thursday where you can bet more components of the first XI will feature if this one is an open book by that point. I'm not quite sure why you're so willing to play second fiddle players against Watford when we have a monumental chance to close the gap.

Maybe you should be the manager? Send in an application.

    There's only one United!
We should strenghten midfield and put Ighalo up front with Martial.

I’d go to a back 4, Williams off for Ighalo, move Martial to the left wing. Back 3 not working.

I propose subbing Williams at halftime and switching to a 4-2-3-1.

    ------------------------ Romero ---------------------------------
    ------- Dalot -- Lindelof -- Maguire -- Shaw --------
    ----------------- Pereira --- Matic ----------------------------
    --- Mata ----------- Lingard --------------- Martial ------
    ------------------------ Ighalo ------------------------------------

Yeah but we cannot risk overplaying him with the injuries we already have. Don't forget he played nearly every match in Portugal too.
Jesus christ. Man is never injured and has just had a two week break.

Listen to yourselves. Ole at the Wheel.....

Didn’t clock, but still. That whole midfield shouldn’t even be at the club.
And yet they are. So I don't really get the original sentiment. They're here, we need to rotate if we are going to survive these next three weeks, Ole has identified this as a game we can rest key players.

How we have got back in this game I don’t know. Think we need to perhaps re shuffle the pack a little, I love Williams to bits but he is having a tough one tonight, can’t say much about Dalot on the other side either. I say bring on a midfielder for perhaps Brandon and get some control in the middle, as much as we look shaky, so do they and we can get at them. The away goal is great but I think we can get 2 without totally screwing up at the other end,

I don't know. If it wasn't for the brain fart, we'd have them where we want them.

They're looking for the long ball over the top a lot, I just wish we didn't leave one on one at the back

The lack of creativity in this lineup is predictably nonexistent. Hope Bruno comes on for the second half, I’d like to take most of them off to be fair.
it's been going on for about five years. keep buying defensive midfielders and no creative ones (before Bruno)

mind you, we did play monday!

Just seen some highlights. How did Romero escape a booking for that shin destroyer lunge he pulled?!
