So that would be a 17 game season confirmed then.

(though not necessarily taking effect this coming season)

I’m not a fan of them expanding the playoffs to more teams.

So Week 17 replaces Week 4 of the preseason, I'm all for it. It also means 6 games on Wild Card Weekend

Only 5 teams that cannot avoid mandatory inclusion for Hard Knocks this season: the Lions, Jags, Broncos, Cards and Steelers.

I'd love the Steelers since you don't get the chance very often, but the Cards and Broncos would be fun too.

Also really interesting to see how this WR class will perform at the Combine this week. Jeudy, Lamb, Shenault, Ruggs, Higgins, Jefferson, ... Insane amount of talent in this group.

That's it? The only offer he got was from Colorado (NCAA)?
I think that he dodged two bullets by not getting the Browns and Giants jobs, was he interviewed by the Cowboys? There could be some interesting jobs next year, with potentially the Vikings and Falcons.

It's the only one I've seen him linked with, yeah. I'm sure he's a good OC but how much did he actually do for the Chiefs offense? Isn't that run by Reid himself for the most part?

Ay! Low blow.

Yes but he's been consistently ranked as a very good OC. Even if next year offers more opportunities for him I'd expect for several interviews to make it to the final stages at least.

Reid calls plays (and rightly so, he's brilliant at it) but much more to an OC than the actual play calling. KC have had one of the best offenses in football for a while, and some of that (as attested to by Reid and players) is due to Bellamy.

I also don't understand why Andy Reid would be the reason behind. While it's true that Reid is an offense mastermind and calls plays, he also has arguably one of the best coaching trees in the NFL because he gives real jobs to his assistants. Belichick is the one that you want to avoid or Zimmer when it comes to defense, they don't really delegate and take care of the crucial parts themselves. Reid is seemingly great at coaching players and coaches.

PS: @adexkola I forgot that you are a Giants fan, sorry about that.

It will be the highlight of the combine aside from QB hand sizes, especially Ruggs' 40. If AL Davis was still alive he'd be a lock for Vegas.

Jeudy will test better than CeeDee, but surely there's enough tape on those 2 that teams are already decided between them.

Jeudy is an incredible route runner which should translate better to the NFL, but I don't think there is much between them at this point. Seen the comparison made with Calvin Ridley a few times already, who I think is almost ready to surpass Julio or at least function as a 1a/1b receiving core like Evans and Godwin did last year.

I'm mostly following for my Dynasty draft, picking #10 so gutted that I won't have access to the elite talents, hopefully I'll be able to unearth a gem. Landing spots will also play a big part in how Lamb and Jeudy get on in their first year. The Cardinals desperately need a WR1 but their offensive line is a bigger priority, the Jags have too much issues on defense, so I don't know. Can see Lamb/Jeudy going at #11 and #12 for the Jets and the Raiders.

Some good RBs not declaring kinda screwed you at that draft position. There's enough WR depth to push some good skill position players back to be drafted by good teams though, like if Shenault ends up in the right offense.

Not sure what to make of it yet. I'd like more details on the proposed CBA by the owners.

Meanwhile, looks like Rivers to Indy is well and truly on.

Said it for a while that I expect Brady to go.

Will be interesting where he ends up. I think the Chargers are the obvious choice, but that’s a very tough division to be playing in.

I think he'll feck up his legacy a bit by wanting to play for another one or two years.

Would be quite fun too though if he lights it up at the Chargers with a 5k 50TD season or something like that.

I think it was the Summer of 2006, a warm Tuesday, when ESPN last reported something accurately in the NFL..

Schefter works for ESPN, he's mostly bang on and breaks lots of stories.

Hmm. I may have been exaggerating a little.. but they tend to push more if this stuff out for reactions than other. Shefter is obviously not normally one of those.

Beat reporters in NE are fairly confident of him staying - and they tend to be right more often than others.

It will be interesting. Personally I think he should’ve retired after the last SB win, but for some reason he wants to keep playing even though he has nothing to prove (the haters will always hate whatever he does).
I think a part of it might be an ego thing & trying to prove he can win without BB.

Could be yeah - and I think he could in his prime, he might still be able to if everything falls into place, but the odds of him winning it in his first year someplace else are so stacked against him that I can't see it happening. Would definitely be an interesting storyline for sure. Chargers playing in the same division as Mahomes, too.

Brady will be exposed if he played for another team especially the Chargers. No Belichick, no fiesta.
