For all the talks of 442 diamond, today was more of a 433 with a false 9 Bruno. Dont know why he changed the formation that worked very well last week.

While I am not denying we had control in the first half, he should have changed it in the second half when it stopped working.

I don't want to laugh at posts like this after a tough game where we played very good for 4/6. but I am very close to that.
Have a laugh at this:
we are 5th in the league.
we are on course to have the lowest points tally in the EPL, since records began.

I suppose if we got relegated, you'd be in hysetrics.

We’d all have taken a point before kick off and if it’s wasn’t for De Gea having a nightmare at the start we’d have won.
Calm down.
I'm perfectly calm. Have been Ole out since Newcastle away earlier in the season. I see no consistency in our results or performances that have made me re-think. Another formation change today. That's the third different formation in the past month. No width in the team, poor retention of the ball, and the second half was poor. No reaction from Ole to change the game. The only saving grace for Ole this season is that the teams around us have been just as poor. If Chelsea and Spurs would have been more consistent we would have been well off the pace.

Needed the win today and as the game progressed we looked worse and worse. Got two difficult games coming up and once again I need to see more from ole in an attacking sense.

Today was why I don’t want him here next season, you can get him better players but he’ll always be the very limited, passive and negative manager that we saw. There’s no master plan with Ole or huge improvement coming just more of the same with a few better players.

100% agree.

I'm not going in on Ole anymore as that's going to be decided on CL. But really? We'd have taken a point before... against Everton? I know Goodison is a tough place, but if that's the mentality than I'm afraid there is just no hope anymore.

I really hope Ole didn't have that kind of mentality before the game, it's a pathetic mentality and shouldn't belong at united regardless of the team we have.
I agree with everything you wrote.
The problem is that these days, standards are so low that a point against Everton is accepted as some sort of victory.
I remember when we lost 2-0 to LFC, some posters were hailing this as some sort of victory. That was shocking to read and really hammered home how far the mentality of the club/supporters has dropped.
Remember, only 2 years ago, people were dissatisfied with Jose getting 2nd with us and now this.

We were on a decent run of games, our top 4 rivals dropped points. For the first time this season we were on course to win 2 consecutive away games (that alone should be stackable!). But as usual, we drop points and what's worse is that our manager was happy with a draw. So go ahead, knock yourself out and laugh. And laugh again next season when we find ourself in 5th/6th.

Not surprised your low standards find it funny. Have a . Would have been more disappointed in you if you was upset.
Why would I be upset when we took one point in a hard game against Everton. Away. A team that even Sir Alex Ferguson in our glory days had hard time in. 3 days after our EuropaLeague game. Against a team that was inform.

But sure. We should have won 15-0.

Seriously ? we were shit especially 2 half.
If you read litle more in my sentence you'll see that I wrote 4/6 of the game.

You do realise where we are and have been last couple of years? You do realise what goal we had for this season? You do realise we had injuries? Thin squad? No, I don't think you do.

Reported for talking sense.
Don't really see the sense in that comment. We need wins to keep us in the hunt especially with how results went this weekend. We have more challenging games coming up and this game was more of the realistic ones that we could win. We are not in a position to keep dropping points.

Of course we need wins. So do Spurs and Chelsea but that didn't prevent them from dropping points this weekend.

You forget we're playing in one of the most competitive leagues in world football. Do you expect us to win every single week?

We got a hard-fought point against one of the leagues more in-form sides today. Try focusing on the positives rather than the negatives.

We had them for 70% of the game, and we got a point. They haven't lost at home since november last year. After Ancelotti took over, they are the 3 best team in the league. I was OK with a point before the game, and i'm fine with it now. And the 30% of the game Everton was the best team, they played really, really well. Give them some credit.

Calm down.
If it wasn't for De Gea we'd have lost then seeing as he made couple of fantastic goal saving saves in this game.

He just lacks that chutzpah that separates the elite echelon in managerial terms. Imagine how much better we'd be with a more clued up manager.

Can’t blame Ole for much today. Everton did well second half and we had several guys tiring. Would have been a perfect day to bring Dan James on if not injured.

Overall performances and results getting better and better.

I’m happy and I predict we’ll get to the last game with a chance to beat Leicester and finish ahead of them in 3rd. (I’m rarely correct.)

I’m saying if we switched manager. We win 3-1.
Ancelotti wouldn’t last ten minutes at United. Half the fans would want him sacked before he got off the plane. He is however a decent manager with a good work ethic and able to organise and motivate players to a degree. I doubt that would satisfy the majority of fans. We’re much better off with Ole.

Maybe we should have a look at their manager then. Is he better then Ole?

If it was not for De Gea we wouldn't be chasing the game. Should we continue with what ifs?
De Gea's performances aren't the reason we are where are. He's has bailed us out many times and is an asset to this team not a liability.

Do you realise we have broken lots of bad records? Do you realise our so called coach is a league one coach and games liek today highlight it? We shall talk in May when we have another season to forget. We should thank all the luck that Chelsea and co are as shite as us.

An Ole inner told that me Ole was succeeding at everything apart from winning... What's the word for that again?

Do you think we’re better than 4th? Leicester are better than us, Liverpool are better than us, City are better than us. He’s got us competing for cup competitions and a top 4 finish. That’s where we are at the moment.

I struggle to see what more a peak, world class manager could get from us at this moment. I understand your frustrations at our situation and how we’ve fallen from grace, but you can’t just keep sacking every manager because we’re not currently peaking at the top.

It’s clear as day he’s building a very good young side here.

Leicester are better than us?

If that’s true, especially looking at their last 14 games, we’ve spent €214m to be utter turd.

Go go go go go go go for the love of god GO.

We'd be a shoe in for top 3 this season with a decent manager.

The OleSexuals can't be reasoned with pal it's a waste of time.
This current squad is in my view, the 4th best in the league. We’re competing for 4th, have some patience. Keep sacking and replacing, and you can end up with horrendously toxic environments, dressing room divides, more inconsistency, different philosophies and styles, different signings in different directions from the previous manager.

This is the first time Ive seen us stabilise In years. Another year of Ole will do us no harm, we might finish 1 place worse than a top-drawer manager would take us, but we can finally stabilise and build a world class squad again. Then, if we’re struggling for top 4 next season, bring a new manager in then, with a very well assembled squad. But to rip Ole out now, when he is mid re-build, buying good players, the right type of players and moving the correct players on, I just don’t see it.

Leicester have just lost to Norwich 0-1. They're definitely not better than us. They have been just punishing above their weight.

We have 3rd best squad in the league even with current injuries.

They’re on a bad run of form, but they’ve got an excellent squad. They’re 4-5 years into a cycle of good transfer windows, good squad building. Their squad I’d say is better than ours. The signings of Bruno, Maguire and AWB have brought us a lot closer, but compare the squads in April time last year and Leicester were a street ahead.

Leicester have just lost on their own pitch to Norwich 0-1. They're definitely not better than us. They have been just pushing above their weight.

We‘ve lost on our own turf to Burnley mate, Liverpool just got battered to 2nd bottom. Everyone loses.

Most naturals would say Leicester had a better squad at the start of the season and for large parts of the season looked better and more consistent than City.

50% of their season is a ”bad run of form”?

Bollocks, United have a better squad but Leicester have been massively punching above their weight and will continue to drop lots of points.

April last year when Leicester were 10th or so in the league they were streets ahead? My fecking God

This is a lie. Especially not after we bought their first choice CB

In terms of who has a better squad between us and the rest of the top 4 candidates, it’s probably changed as the season goes on.
With Greenwood, Williams etc growing as the season goes on, and with the signings settling in nicely, we can definitely say we really good enough for top 4.
It’s just whether we’ve given ourselves too much to do leading up to this point in the season.
We’ve got a good chance of it, and no matter what happens I’d expect us to be right up near the top next season, but this season is still very much alive.
If we get top four I’ll be delighted, but I think everybody would agree the squad is in a better place than it was in August, even with Rashford and Pogba out.

So? Every day you can say this or that record is broken. In a good and bad way.
League One manager? Intresting. How is it highlighten that? Tell us.

I would say it is pretty unbelieveble how some of our fans have so much hatered in them that they will have a go at our manager after a game (1-1) where we are better, away from home, against one team that is inform and only 2-3 points behind us. Seriously, real football has nothing to do with Football Manager or FIFA2020.

Definitely no one predicted Leicester to be 3rd by this time before the season starts. I'll like to see who predicted that.
