I’m not questioning his quality, but his injury record is concerning and he will cost an absolute fortune. It can’t be denied.
prior to his injury this year he had played 187 Pl games out of 210 (about 90%) I doubt we have had many players manage that (and certainly none who have scored 133 goals in that time)
Would he cost a lot - yeah probably £150 - £200m Id guess but lets be honest top players simply cost a lot of money and if he went to Madrid and banged in 40 goals a season everybody would be saying its £150m well spent

Manchester City is his only possible option if he leaves Spurs. We will not pay what City want. Kane will not go to Madrid after seeing Bale and Beckham become half the players they were after moving there, and I doubt he's a priority for Zidane.

Man City might fancy boosting their attack as Aguerro is 31. City could offer Spurs the likes of Stones/Jesus/Sane to bring the price down.
and kane can prolong his playing career by not having the distraction of european football for a couple of years?

Well it will probably be overturned. If not then there's really no other big club in Europe that is going to spend the kind of money on him that Levy will ask for.

Would it potentially make more sense to go after Aubameyang?

Especially if we get CL and he wants out we could get reasonably cheap I would think. No issues with injuries and we can see how effective he is, but is at an age where he won't massively impact on Greenwood's development.

Maybe I'm misreading you.. but, AWB, Maguire and Bruno + trying for Dybala, Haaland and who else under Ole, suggests we go for top talent
Unlike Dybala and Haaland we actually made a bid for King in January and he wants to come but Eddie Howe refused to sell.

Well I'm hoping we will sign Sancho, Grealish/Maddison and Dembele. If a 4th player were to come in, then a CB or DM.
Yeah I'd agree the focus this window needs to be on getting the creative department up to scratch. Of course if we were particularly successful in moving on unwanted players for good fees then we could conceivably have more for s striker. That's speculative though of course.

If we could get him for around the cost of Sancho it would be worth it. Offer Martial and $$$ would be an even better deal. Not happening though, selling Kane would undo everything Poch did during his team there. They'd go back to being mid-table and unlikely to even compete for top 4.

It's like we learned nothing from the Sanchez transfer.
We shouldn't have that attitude when every quality player comes available though. Kane for me is one of the top 5 strikers in World Football, when Sanchez left Arsenal he wasn't that, i'm not even sure i'd have had him as top 20 tbh. The real big issue with Kane is his injury history, but his goal scoring and all round play is still top notch and he's just entering his prime. It's a no brainer tbh and it would be a huge cash cow marketing wise.

Can't see Jose having much interest in Martial

Not worth what it would take to procure him. He's had far too many serious injuries, and that ankle of his looks like a career-long problem that is going to rob him of his prime.

Needs at least 18 months without it going on him to be worth the £150m-£200m Levy will demand.

Nobody is going to be in for him at the cost.

Oh OK. I'm sorry. I almost thought you're a dummy, saying under Ole King is our prefered standard of player and all we can hope for as supporters of this club..

Question: Sell DDG and Pogba to fund Kane with a bit left over?

DDG, Pogba and the deadwood out, Kane, Sancho and a DM in??? (complete fantasy I know but thought I'd ask the question)

I don’t think he will leave because I don’t see anyone paying what it would take. But him signing a contract before a whole lot of things changed won’t be the reason.
Of course the real story is he dying to leave, same shit different day . All injurid players show up to their teams matches.

How do you even get that from what I’m saying? There’s no middle ground is there? You’re such a sensitive little bunch.

Kane is probably the best out and out striker in the world, and a season or two ago I would have said we should break every possible record to sign him. However, his injuries are a serious concern. We are probably the worst club out of all the big clubs in the world when it comes to managing injuries. If we were Bayern, for example, who always seem to handle them well, I would say signing him is worth it, but with our luck with injuries, and whatever the hell it is that we do with them, I can't see this transfer being worth it for us. Not for what it would cost.

It's a shame as well, as Kane always felt to me like a player that was destined for United.

Can't see him coming to United, thats for sure. Too good to be true. Would be a perfect signing for us.

2 years ago the idea of signing Harry Kane would have given me such a stiffy that my boxers would have burst off my body under the strain, flown across Tesco and knocked the tinned beef burgers onto the floor, which in turn some old lady would have slipped on and fell over and broken her hip, then I’d have picked up my ripped boxers and paid for my milk.

I wouldn’t get the same excitement now. Injuries. And he doesn’t seem as threatening when I watch him play lately. Privately, I think Spurs would love to get a huge offer this Summer and sell up. I’d rather we look for more Fernandes type signings. Top players desperate to sign here.

Just a few roadblocks, guys...

1)Ed Woodward

2) Daniel Levy

3) Lack of CL

4) Sanchez's wages

5) We're still miles away from City and Liverpool level

Anyway, an offer should definitely be made. Just throw the money around and see what happens.

It's all well and good being linked with Kane but there's one stumbling block: Levy. He's always had a chip on his shoulder when it comes to us.

He would rather sell him for £149,999,999.99 to Real Madrid than sell him for £150,000,000.00 to us. And not a penny less.

He was a dream signing a few years ago but I'm confident that Greenwood will be our first choice number 9 in a couple of seasons and Martial is good enough until then so we'd be stupid to spend 150 million+ on him.
Id expect it to be at least 3 if not 4 seasons before he can lead the line, and that’s gambling on him cracking on to that point, even though he does look very promising. Would you not want us to be good in the meantime? Personally I don’t think we’re good enough with Martial leading the line.

Kane could give us his best 4 years with Greenwood learning off him and then pass the torch over. It’s perfect really. If he continues his injuries we’d have Ighalo and Greenwood ready to play (would expect Martial to leave if this happened).

There are some obvious obstacles, but if Kane really wants to leave Levy has no choice but to become slightly less of one.

As for questioning why he’d want to come here, he may want to stay in England, and while if it were me I’d be wary, I may also now be wondering about how we’re starting to shape. With himself leading the line and perhaps another buy we’ll be vastly improved from just a season ago.

I'd take Aubameyang over Kane. He's 30, which isn't young but old enough to allow Greenwood to come through at his own pace.
Wouldn't be surprised if Aubameyang decides to give Spain a go in the summer, I would definitely take him as compared to Kane he has a very impressive injury record these last few years but Utd might well feel that he could hinder the development of Mason

Stay away. Lost the little explosiveness he had in his first step due to injuries and being rushed back, making him less likely to create the little space he needed to be so effective.
And he got some problems with his ankle(s).

Not for me at the price. Like a lot of people have said, his injuries are a worry.

Not sure if its just a weird feeling of football but I just assume he plays until about January every season, gets injured and comes back for the last 2-3 games.

I don’t see how you could not want him if it were possible.
It won’t be though, he probably doesn’t even want to leave and he’d cost more than we can afford.
