Now anyone not joining the rabid brigade in losing it over his every move is a WUM or not a real fan :houllier:

The pathological state of some of you...

Grown men genuinely wound up over innocuous social media posts constantly, my word

In terms of him training in a Juve top, I couldn't give a damn. He could have worn a Madrid one for all I care.

He is just training, and is contracted to Manutd at the moment and if he leaves there will be a big fee.

The point I am getting at is that he didn't need to, all it does is creates an issue in the fan group. Easily avoidable.
But again, unless wilfully ignores, the circumstances are very obvious.

It’s not like he was just at a random park, at a random time, having a kick about in a random Juve shirt. The refusal to draw no distinction between that and him wearing a Matuidi shirt, a day after he contracted Corona only tells me that people have purposely chosen to draw a negative to further a narrative.

There is a huge amount of context, and in this case, quite an obvious one too. It seems people are setting that aside because they simply want to. If Munich happened today the whole Liverpool squad would probably come out at Anfield wearing United shirts the next game. They COULD, if they chose, write in their caption that Liverpool fans shouldn’t worry about the United shirts, they are just showing support etc - but they shouldn’t even have to, and any Scouse requiring that needs to get a grip.

Now I’ve chosen an extreme example, but the ultimate point is the context here is clear. This only matters to people who want it to matter. It’s not an insult to United fans. The fans who are insulted by it would need to have a look at themselves, rather than Pogba have the need to look at himself and scribble over Juve’s badge because it might upset them.

Raiola’s poorly times and poorly judged comments, I’ll not argue. But this? Nah, come one, we’re just fishing now surely?

I understand, like I said, its his choice what top he wants to wear. We live in a society where wearing a shirt doesnt mean you support the team or you want to play for the team. As long as it is not a rivals top or any other team in the PL I am okay with it.

The reason United fans are insulted is because they see Pogba posting all this but has never come out to on anything about his own future.

There was an easy PR stunt win here, If he wore a United top with the tag line of something along the lines of working hard to get back into the team.

Comparing Corona virus to Munich is a bit OTT imo.

This is the point though.

Pogba doesn't care what everybody else thinks. If he wants to wear a Matuidi shirt he's gonna do it ffs  if people want to get upset by it then that's their issue.

I think by now it's clear he doesn't listen to other people's opinions, and he will always live his life this way.
Well, the fact that he had to explain himself shows he does care. I think Pogba is one who thrives on this kind of stuff.

Pogba knows what he’s doing. There are so many other ways he could have paid tribute to his friend, but this is what he went with. It’s absolutely calculated. To what end, I don’t know, maybe creating these social media storms helps line his pockets, maybe he’s helping to facilitate a move by deliberately pissing some United fans off. Feck knows. It’s hard to sympathetise with him playing the victim over all the mean comments, when he courts this kind of attention. Months of this ahead, what with there being no football.

He declared it because he knew idiots would start moaning - which makes this even more stupid than usual.

The fact he did actually explain something this time but people are still unhappy. Somebody above even moaned about him doing a dab on the leaflet for charity ffs.

Tbh, I thought that was quite a clever idea. That's one way of getting through to the younger generation.

His agent spouting again about Real Madrid today. Pogba is clearing trying to hype up his move away.

He didn't have to wear the jersey, No one forced him to. We all have different opinions.

But I can see through his shite. Funny how his agent came out about Madrid as well today a day after posting that instagram post.

He gets away with it at United but what would Real Madrid fans do if Gareth Bale was running about in a United top playing golf?

To be fair, there have been numerous videos of him ‘working hard to get in the team’ videos of late but again, none of it should really matter.

I don’t think he’s obligated to mix a show of support for Matuidi with some sort of It love United’ message. Again, I think it’s an insecurity to even require it, at least in these circumstances. Can everything not be distilled to some ‘does he care about the club or not?’ thing. This is serious business and I think it’s unfair to almost be unable to see the man as capable of caring enough of serious issues to not JUST be making a post to show solidarity with his mate. And not only to a mate, but also with Juventus indeed. It’s not a secret he used to play there, and lived in Italy for 4 years, a country who are about to overtake China in COVID deaths. Perhaps he also wanted to show support for Juventus as a club and Italy as a country. Insisting he takes a stance of ‘you’re with us now, forget what is happening over there, you play for United’.

As I said, fair dues if people feel other things are distasteful, but on this occasion, I think having a problem with it is more distasteful. Nobody seems to have acknowledged the actual seriousness of the situation of the message, that’s gone over everyone’s head and the conversation turned to his shirt. Give it a rest.

Based on the fact he constantly behaves like a child.

Wearing a Juventus shirt in a video. Dying his hair blue when he's being linked to City. Constant snipey indirect remarks or references to his manager either via the media or his social media pages. Using his agent as a means to whine because he isn't man enough to do it himself. Not being able to do something as basic as take a penalty without turning it into an attention whore exercise.

When it's one incident you can overlook it quite easily. When you're on incident no 1,232 and still trying to tell other people they are fecked up for not making an excuse for every single one, you're an idiot. You're the mouse who 3 years into the experiment, still hasn't figured out that trying to take the cheese gives you an electric shock.

I actually don't dislike Pogba at all. I just don't think he's a particularly mature person or footballer and think that's quite an important factor if you want to build a succesful team. It's a vital one in fact, with Pogba about the best example/proof of this you will ever see. I find the people who just blindly deny or defend the obvious more annoying. You are actually getting angry and lashing out at the obvious being pointed out to you. As if you've anything to gain or lose from it.
True. You dont win a world cup or league titles with his lack of maturity. Your post make little sense. You first write that you dont think that he’s a mature person or player and just afterwards write that it’s some kind a fact and proven.

Its ok to point out things a person have done that you dont agree with but to make an assumption and call it a fact and come up with things to fit your narrative is for me an example of having an agenda.

This post is a prime example of selectively filtering to fit a narrative.

In what context would Gary Bale be running around wearing a United top? Would it be on a fine sunny day on vacation in Miami? Would it be a United shirt with Daniel James name on it the day he has contracted Corona virus? Or are we choosing to pretend, because we want to, that the two scenarios are identical?

Pogba's agent spouting about a move to Real Madrid today, a day after that Instagram post.

I can see through both their crap. It was gesture to his friend but could of doing it a million different ways but mainly did it to hype up transfer crap and to rattle the fans.
Disgusting behavior.

He could have done it in a million ways, but wearing his shirt is one of the more obvious ways. The fact that you are incapable to think a gesture for a friend with Corona was done without the motivation to ‘rattle the fans’ show that as a human being, you obviously don’t think much of him at all anyway, so I doubt I can convince you otherwise.

Stop fooling yourself lad, the scenarios are not that different Bale has rubbed up the Madrid fans just like Pogba has United fans.Bale has been linked to United the same way Pogba has been linked to Juve, do you think Madrid fans would stand for I don’t.

Italian super agent Mino Raiola admits he wants to work closer with Real Madrid.

"I have great hopes that one day I can bring a great footballer to Real Madrid.. Today I have Areola but it is a somewhat failed operation because it is a loan. I want to bring a footballer and I will try this summer. It would be a source of pride for me and my footballers because Real Madrid. is a big club."
Jesse is off to Real Madrid then

‘No talking to Pogba haters at all so why bother’.
I don’t hate Pogba I’d love to see him play in midfield with Bruno next season, but the fact of the matter is he does everything possible to make people dislike him.
Take Bruno for instance just in the door right attitude, right player and everyone loves him. Why can’t Pogba do the same it’s like dealing with a child..

Best post since he posted the video on the Instagram. Exactly this 100%.

Well most United fans don't give a damn, so I'm not sure why you try to look at other clubs fans. Just look a the majority of United fans.
You may not be upset, but every United fan I know thinks this act of Paul's is at the very least disrespectful to the club, his manager, and the fans and for many its the last straw. Clearly a 'staged' incident that was meant to offend, perpetrated by someone who knows perfectly well how it will anger the majority of United fans, this is especially the case as he has, on the field never really, or at least in any consistent way, matched up to his (own) billing or his salary level, the sooner he goes the better.

Think people are reading too much into Pogba's mindset for posting this. He is not some evil monster parading as a human being. He uses social media as many do, posted something to show support for a friend and a country that was a big part of his life and goes so far to try and contain whatever negativity that people can turn the post into.

End of day doesn't matter what he posts, people will look for the negative. If Pogba even wore a Matuidi France shirt and posted this, some would have found a way to turn it into something like "look, see he just cares about being ready for France". Had he worn a shirt with just Matuidi face, turn that around and say how shit is he that he can't be bothered to wear a United top. If he wore a United top, oh look he knows that he is not going to get his move so now he is trying to pander to the fans.

Think I read someone comment about how he looked fit and how it's so convenient that it is while United aren't playing. The extremes of just finding anything to beat him over the head.

We have a massive fan base, only way not to offend anyone would be to become a total hermit, which he is not going to do nor should he have to. People just need to get a little perspective and if they can't then that's on them, not him.

Good grief, now everyone should be like Bruno. At least some of you are being up front about it, you just don't like his attitude and because he doesn't parrot his love for United in every third ig post. I remember a few years ago, wasn't Herrera the golden standard? everyone should be more like Herrera.

Best post since he posted the video on the Instagram. Exactly this 100%.

Stop letting your gears get grinded.

People forget that both he and Griezman did the same to their respective clubs. The difference now is that Pogba has been at this for almost 3 seasons, worst still is,he has not been influencial in at least 2 seasons for him to be given the respect that Atletico gave Griezman.

If you can't even see how Bruno is doing then how do you compare him to Pogba :houllier: yet more nonsense from the anti-Pogba crowd. What's next,he should be more like Scholes? Just keep his head down and make himself heard on the pitch? Don't even do any interviews, and be his own agent?

Raiola is his own man and LOVES to talk, it keeps him relevant. The guy is nothing without bigging up his stars and has to use Pogba's name.

If he ends up leaving for Madrid or Juve then fine let him crack on, but until that point he's a United player. Just stop reading all the speculation as it clearly winds you up - the papers love people like you clicking away furiously.

Nothing at all, in fact I don't really disagree with you, but my point is we've done this song and dance before. I can't remember who it was, maybe Rashford, but only recently we've also had a go at a footballer who was having too much fun on social media and said he should be more like X. It's not a bad idea, but it's pure fantasy. Like taking the body of Pogba and putting Bruno's head on there to create the perfect United midfielder.

Yeah, but with the Rashford situation even he came out and almost apologised for it afterwards, Pogba just flaunts it in your face and it’s like you almost got to accept it.
I understand we can’t change him but for the love of God Pogba tone it down a bit..

Are you saying Raiola made those comments without Pogba's consent?

If that's the case, why didn't Pogba move quickly to fan the flames?

UTD! I am not fond of the Glazers.
Man some people just want to get butt hurt by everything. Pathetic. I could see my myself doing the exact same thing for my friend without any alternative motives. But yeah lets spout nonsense, gossip, and be angry to Pogba. He may well want to get out of Manchester United but give it a rest and let him support his fellow compatriot.

Who’s paying you £300k a week for the best part of a year for doing nothing but?

Then soon as you get fit throw on a Juve top..
