Very surprised that this hasn't been mentioned anywhere on here. As far as I'm aware anyway.

MUTV are showing classics games for free every couple of days. Available on manutd.com or the official app as well.

At 7pm UK time last night, they showed United 5 - 2 Spurs (Voted for by fans as they wanted to show a game against Spurs because we were going to play them so they gave a choice of 4 games against them).

They're showing another game on Thursday, same time I think.

I'd have thought people would have gone for the 3-5 game at White Hart Lane. Possibly one of our greatest one-half performances of all time

Two great games either way, and a perfect summary of the 'Lads, it's Tottenham' mantra of the time.

I’ve been a subscriber to MUTV for what must be 10 years now.

They play all these matches all the time.

I’ve seen them all dozens of times

At least it’s a bit of football, going cold turkey is hard work.

I still remember this game just like it happened yesterday - I was watching alone in a pub. What a miserable first half for us, with Ziege scoring at the last minute. Luckily, Cole came on in the 2nd half and scored within minutes, and then we gained the confidence. Blanc and Veron also scored their first United goal.

Unpopular opinion, but I quite enjoy MUTV and i'm happy to pay the subscription fee.

It's perfect background content for anyone who's currently forced to work from home.

$3.79 CAD a month for me. It's a no brainer, especially as we don't have tons of football content in Canada.

I think we should treat these like actual matches. Have a match day thread so people can moan about giggs etc.

I remember before euro 2016 they showed the England euro 1996 games and a few of us got together to watch them. Was a good laugh.

Edit: see this has already been suggested. We definitely should. And a motm poll player ratings etc.

I was so looking forward to the Spurs game and the Europa return leg. It's like the first pissy first weeks of summer

Jesus why are people voting for the PSG match. You can find it almost everywhere on the web.

I forgot to bloody watch... those were the days: when we went behind and I knew we were still going to win

If you are a paid subscriber, is the video quality better than the free classic matches that I'm watching?

Nope you can't get a better source than that. Analog VHS quality :(
What's even more depressing is the Roma match where we won 7:1 and the best quality out there is a a really poor SD analog picture which is absurd considering the final was in HD

Yeah it’s really surprising how poor quality live sports were and only relatively recently!

I’m not sure if it’s the copies we have available or the broadcasting quality at the time!?

They were still testing HD back in 07. Sky only had like 2-3 HD channels while Italians and Germans were only showing huge events in HD back then (the 04-05, 05-06 and the 06-07 UCL finals)

Interesting. It’s mad because it almost feels like we’ve had HD forever.

Time flies and technology even quicker.

Japan was already broadcasting WC 2002 in HD - though only as a test feed. You can find a few matches online

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

I was watching it with my old man (who is a Spurs supporter). I don't remember the first half too well but I have no doubt he was giving me shit about it. What I do remember is when we scored our second goal. I looked at him, he looked at me, and I just smirked. Didn't need to say a word. They might have still been winning 3-2, but both of us knew at that moment that we were going to win that match.
