Because he's a world class player with a skill set that's hard to find.

If he signs a new contract then your worries over commitment will be ended.
Major clubs who are winning trophies are doing very well without players possessing that skill set.

Perhaps they'd do even better with him in the team instead? Anyway the moment he joins another team and starts doing well it'll be "oh he didn't try his best at united"

The state of this thread... Some of the posts are hilarious. fecking snowflakes seething over something so innocuous. What's wrong with people? Like take a step back, it's good to self reflect, it's good to question you're motives every now and again. You aren't always right, sometimes you misread things, believe it or not....

Posters showing themselves up is nothing new on here but I'm disappointed in the mod edit on the threadtitle, poor form imo. I thought they were supposed to nip things like this in the bud and clear them up. Hmmm... Standards still slipping I see.

I was trying to refrain from commenting but jeez some of you are bat shit crazy. And the ones who are worse are the ones claiming "its ok for Lindelof, he's my mate" etc.

So what if he is wearing a Matuidi shirt? They are very good friends. Plus he has given the reason too.

Don't you know? There's always a hidden meaning to everything and we all know that Pogba's an amoral pantomime villain that has no problem using a pandemic/crisis and his teammate for his own gain to push for a move back to Italy...

Regarding the bolded part: there are two main mechanisms that intertwine to varying degrees behind Pogfans/apologists. First is simple intelligence and/or lack of life experience (aka they're really really young). Some people literally don't get what Raiola/Pogba are doing (IMO utterly magnificent list in your previous post, btw) and/or what type of person Pogba is. Second mechanism is the same one behind people dating someone they believe is 'hotter' than they are. We've all seen it with people thus ending up somewhere on the desperate scale and inclined to accept/rationalize/endure all manner of behavior: "I'm just glad they're with me."

It's biology. It's not something one can argue away. It's literally 'OFC I'd date _________, don't care what (s)he treated me like' at work with the variance in 'hotness'/status of the subject then coming into play.

This last bit isn't actually to noodle since he already knows it: if one has the status to have other options, one is more likely to have the self-respect/ability to not tolerate that behavior as the social status gained is lesser than the social status lost due to the unseemly behavior of the object. AKA it's the thing that's going on when for threes to sixes, dating a seven is worth the trouble since 'holy shit you're with a seven (who thinks they're an eight/nine but whatever since I'm a five)'. For eights and above it becomes 'why are you with that seven who thinks (s)he's an eight/nine?'
If we're to stick with the (frankly strange) analogy of relationships, I'd liken the situation more to a person who, once a relationship becomes sour, cannot see anything good about a person and paints their every move in a poor light. In my experience, those tend to be toxic personalities in the relationship.

It's perfectly fine to think that Pogba has crossed a line from which he cannot return regarding his relationship with Man Utd, but to twist something like showing solidarity with COVID-19 patients against him and make it seem like he has a sinister ulterior motive, sounds more toxic than anything Pogba's done so far.

He's free to wear what he wants.

That being said, he knows exactly what he's doing and is looking to stir the pot and let the media continue to speculate his future. We've seen this since last summer, whether it's from Pogba himself, his brother or his agent. He's playing one big game and looking to take United for a ride.

The sooner we move him on the better. At this stage I'm just pretty fed up with all the nonsense that surrounds him and wouldn't be bothered if he never plays for us again.

 Brilliant
This thread

Pogba could walk out and take a shit on the pitch and you'd have some in here praising him for adding fertiliser.

Yup, he’s shit stirring. The Pogba defenders must not think he possesses much intelligence to think these things are just ‘run of the mill’ things.
He knows exactly what he’s doing and it is very immature, he knows his future is a constant cause of discussion and so he does these things to create a reaction just as it was when he posted himself smirking on Instagram a few minutes after Mourinho got sacked.

Really curious to know what the people all saying it's ok for Pogba to wear a Juventus top were saying when Lukaku wore an Anderlect Jersey earlier in the summer.

From his career with us so far, his biggest skill set is missing games through injury or lack of effort.

We aren't good enough to afford carrying a passenger like him for half the season.

It really is crazy to see how Pogba makes so many people crazy. I thought United fans were bad with Nani but this is a while other level.

I think for the right club he’ll shine. I just don’t think it’s us. I have thought that for a while now. At the beginning of the season, it was unfathomable how we’d cope if he suffered an injury - then the unthinkable happened - but that was counteracted by more unthinkable, which was Fred’s resurgence. Who knew. I would love to see Grealish replace Pogba. Only difficulty now is Pogba’s price.... I would actually take a drastic loss on him. I think for club harmony it would be worth it.

Strange comparison.

Nani was inconsistent but no one could question his loyalty. Pogba on the other hand...

We had our best moment of last season without him. We’ve had our best moments of this season without him.

With the way the world have changed forever, I’m so beyond caring what this Instagrammer wants to do with his football side project next season.

Is there anything wrong with him wearing a Matuidi shirt to show support for his friend? Of course not. It's actually a really nice thing to do.
Apparently it's the equivalent of taking a shit on the pitch according to some

The only time I realistically see Juventus or Madrid paying big money for him is after next season.

They are not going to pay 100 million for a player who has been injured all season.

Yet more lies and propaganda. He's been our best player in big games many times.

Pogba really is held to a different level all together. He's expected to run around like Fred, Tackle like Mctominay and score/create like Bruno all in 1 player

He was our best player in 2 away wins at Arsenal, an away win at Spurs an away with at City & an away win at Chelsea.

Some of you really need to step away from football and find other hobbies. This thread is RAWK and Bluemoon level embarrassing. The mod's sensationalist title change doesn't help either but I guess it's good for clicks.

So he's linked with Juventus and wears the jersey and knows it will wind fans up and still posted it?
His agent the next day talks about him moving to Real Madrid.

He wants to leave United. Wake up. Will the fans still defend him if he's at either Juventus or Madrid next year?

I can imagine if he scores against us in the champions league and knocks us out and the fans supporting him will be like. "Its okay we got knocked out by Pogba"

Either these people are more fans of Pogba not Man Utd, or they're just naive.

What do you think of his agents comments about Ole earlier in the season and now linking him with Madrid and Pogba saying nothing?

Just because it's Pogba it's okay?

What does that have to do with the gesture?

Pogba could very well want to leave, but that doesn't mean that he plans his every act around that. His nice gesture being twisted into something more sinister is the issue that guy detailed in his post, not Pogba wanting to leave. The problem is some posters are having issues making that distinction.

Pogba could very well want to leave? :houllier::lol: He wants out of the club as soon as he can.

And he used the Juventus jersey to wind up the fans and his agent came out about Madrid the following day.

Come on like? Really?

Why? Because a player linked with Juventus wears their jersey and the following day his agent links him with Madrid and Pogba has not put to bed these rumors, in fact he said he wants a new challenge?

If he wasn't talking about leaving United since last summer there would be no issue whatsoever with him wearing the Juventus jersey.

Pogba if you are reading this either commit to the club or feck off.
