Big bad Benz doesn’t have anywhere near the respect he deserves in football, tbf. It’s a shame he doesn’t have a WC honour to his name.

I think we can make the argument that it' Ronaldos Madrid, Benzema is just fortunate to have been a part of it. That being said, I too remember Morientes in a better light, but its probably a bit of memory lane bias.
Benzema has been more than “just fortunate to be part of it.” If I was to say Rooney was fortunate to be a part of 07/08, it would probably boil a lot of piss.

Rooney and Benzema have been the perfect foil for Ronaldo in his career to flourish, but they are more than just unselfish footballers. Without him they’ve shown they can be ruthless goalscorers and big moment players. They’ve certainly pulled their own weight and then some.

He wasn't raging, he was asked a question a question and responded, he wasn't angry, he was taking the piss
Sure he was only saying Giroud is a Tesco bin player while Benzema is supreme lord commander.

Zlatan is so much better at this... at least he's funny.

Social media allowing players to repeatedly prove their low IQs? Fair enough.

Something that is underestimated when it comes to Benzema is that he joined Ronaldo when he was 21 years old, he essentially developed and had to develop his game around Ronaldo's style and needs which he did and still managed to become a world class player and a crucial cog in a great club. When all is said and done, there isn't a lot of players that have spent a decade at Real Madrid almost exclusively as a starter.

Edit: He is also the player with most assists in Real Madrid history.

Top 5 scorer in Champions, and the best French, and soon in the top 5 of Madrid, when he surpasses Puskas, where he is already the best assistant.
Karim is totally right although obviously unpolite.
After that Ronaldo Nazario joined in and said that Ronaldo would be the Ferrari and he the kart

From context it reads like he's talking about aethestics.

If we're talking about playing style, his suits France well.

"It's good because there are fast players like (Kylian) Mbappe and (Antoine) Griezmann who play out wide or feed off the centre-forward. When Giroud is up front, he's a handful for defences, which gives the other two plenty of space to show what they can do.

He occupies defenders and it works. It might not be brilliant to watch and you won't say, 'Wow, that was incredible.' Does everyone like that style of play? I don't know, but it suits France well.
I don't know their relationship. Giroud might be at home laughing at this.

What’s the view of the Real Madrid fans on him? A legend or just a very good player for them? It’s been nearly a decade of service from him

Has he? He hasn't won a thing since Ronaldo left. They even dropped out of the top 2 last season for the first time in forever.

When Ronaldo left us Rooney led us to 2 titles and 2 runners up spots in 4 years. There is no comparison.

Scoring 4 goals against Argentina and Croatia, I say that's quite brilliant style to watch for any solid WC team.

He said Giroud suits the way they play. Doesn't seem he's mugging him off other than saying he feels he's a better player. Which he is.

What Giroud ever did to him ? Why attack someone from a group players he knew personally ? Did Giroud called up himself so he can now be smeared on social media for no apparent reason whatsoever ?

Wasn't Valbuena example enough to see ?
It was an interview no? He believes himself to be levels above Giroud. How is that attacking, smearing or gangsta?

You can find it distasteful, but to ascertain that he sees himself as a gangsta is just weird

Humor is a matter of taste, what isn't funny for you can be very funny for others.
I will say it, you need to watch the clip to see he was taking the piss. You are blowing this out of proportion

What agenda driven nonsense your comment is. It's only been the one season that they've played without Ronaldo. They won the Supercop and the Club World Championship. They finished 3rd last season just like they did with Ronaldo in his last season. They were hardly steamrolling the league with Ronaldo. He played with Real for 9 seasons and won the league twice. With us he won it thrice in 6 seasons. Also Berbatov was our top scorer in 2011. Wouldn't that make him the one that led us to the title?

Calling someone the equivalent of go karting is mugging them off to be fair.

No it wasn't an interview and that's basically makes it even more cringe. I believe to be levels above Giroud too, but since nobody in the world asked me about it, let me just log in to Twitter, Insta, Face and even MySpace to inform everyone about this important fact of life, especially after France winning World Cup.

He can be levels above Giroud, but he's not so relevant to France as Giroud supported by Mbappe, Griezmann and Pogba is enough to win the big prize.

To put it back into context, it was a IG live with a youtuber/Snapchatter/IGer and the Giroud question was one subject among many others.
Benzema knows he will never get called up anymore so he can speak and answer freely. I don't see why it bothers people unless they're big fans of Giroud which is a low in itself

At the end of the day it's Giroud who's got the WC medal and played an integral part in the win, whereas Karim was sat at home winning square root of feck all at the WC.

Yes, Giroud is the current Guivarc'h. I hope he doesn't end up like him (as pool salesman).

Well they would have picked him if he had not blackmailed his teammate over a sex tape or got involved in a prostitution trial.

He should know it was not about tactical qualities really. Anyway Giroud has a WC medal and Benzema doesn't. His loss.

It bothers them because seems high and mighty dissing someone who won a WC when you were involved with blackmailing your teammate over a sex tape.

Absolutely nothing to do with being a fan of Giroud.

I'm taking the piss tbh but you gotta admit that Benzema is a better player than Giroud and if it wasn't for PR blunder from himself, he would have been the french striker at the WC.

True story.

Giroud and Guivarc'h are nothing alike, Guivarc'h has never been the actual starter for France outside of one WC and he has never performed at a high level either.

Blackmailing your own teammates is not a great way of being picked for the team again. My sympathy for Benzema is and forever will remain a big fat 0

Oh i have no sympathy for him . The fact Giroud plays for France and he doesn't is soley on him

They are alike in the simple fact that they have zero World Cup goals and a WC medal to their name as the number 9.
That's not bad in terms of similarities

And then one is France third best goalscorer while the other as scored one goal in his international career, Giroud's WC was very uncharacsteristic. That's a massive difference but you already knew that. ;)

Yup, agreed he is the better player.

Blackmailing your teammate over a sex tape a PR blunder? Nah, more like being a shit person in general and deservedly missed out on being a WC champ.

So much controversy but Benzema is correct. He's 5 times the player Giroud is. One is one of the best strikers of this generation and the other is Giroud.

Not that, that's not the real reason Benzema was black balled.
He made a scathing ITW, publicly insulting Deschamps basically (saying he couldn't handle the pressure from a racist part of France when he stopped calling him up)whereas Deschamps wasn't against his return in the future.
All Karim had to do was to handle this from a PR aspect and he would have still played for France. Deschamps used to love him

Then he is stupid too apart from being a shit person. Cheers. Giroud should just reply with a pic of his WC medal. Anyway I don't feel bad for him one bit. He is way better than Giroud though.

I would love it if Giroud did that but he is too nice of a man to do that.
Benzema displayed some stupidity when being a bit diplomatic and even hypocritical for him, was needed

 Agenda? I couldn't care less about Benzema, Madrid or Giroud.

Just simply stating facts, he's not in the same league as Rooney.
