I wouldn't call that as working off the ball. Linking up is a different aspect which is more during possession rather than off the ball.
Oh I agree on that, was just pointing out he wasn't static and did get around the pitch and putting a shift in.

I don't think the Inter - Barca smash and grab is relevant here though, Jose played really defensive even going as far as putting a centre back on the left wing.

No single player in history can disrupt a whole midfield on his own, let alone the Barca one. But Law was good enough off the ball to disrupt Busi for me. Others who have watched Law can add perhaps.
this is all very well and good but with the athleticism at pogbas disposal he has to do more in this game

Law is such a complete forward. Other than excellent goalscoring, you can see his touch, playmaking, workrate, and defensive performance (min. 2:10, 5:55) here. Worth noting that this is not a "compilation" per se, but from a single game.

Can't decide and will call it a draw. Cracking match, this whole draft is great so far.

A possible alteration for Iso's line-up out of the possession is to put Law and Eto'o at inside-left and inside right respectively with Laudrup as a 9. A bit how how like LVG played with a front three of Mata, Rooney and Di Maria was ostensibly a 3412 which was in effect a 523. Out of possession Mata was a 9 with Rooney left and Di Maria right. In possession Mata dropped back into the hole and Rooney and Di Maria drifted more centrally. This would allow the more industrious players to disrupt Bicsuits and Laudrup to keep his powder dry.

Busquets would have his hand full with Laudrup, I think. Not to mention their quality is like earth and sky different. He also can't leave his position further from his CBs. Otherwise, with those two attacking FBs he has, he definitely can't leave Godin and Rio one-one-one with Law and Eto'o, and Laudrup floating in behind. That's a suicide.

I also showed clips of Law, you can see above post. He fancy to work deep if necessary. Now it becomes two against one.

Congratulations for the win @DVG7

@Isotope , tough luck mate, the 15 clueless bastards screwed your seeding. Please stick around for the Coropa league reinforcements and QF games.

Good game, @DVG7

Good team you have, with high ceiling when improved.
Better than our last one that’s for sure

didn’t think there was any chance we would get drawn together. So much quality in your team and in a one off draft game I’ll always consider Laudrup as one of the best, he could do and see things that most other players just couldn’t dream of.
