Where the grass is greener.
We stick a 19 on the board at Melwood, we have a presentation with one of the old trophies next time Anfield’s full, and we go out and win no.20 in a year’s time. Can’t believe the premise of this thread - you don’t get given the title, you go out and take it. We did that long ago
But they don't even have a PL trophy to use :( lifting the old division one trophy to show how much better they are and above it all:lol:

Does anyone take Dalgliesh seriously? For the younger generation, he’s a bumbling fool, a dinosaur of a manager and a bloke who wore a t shirt supporting a racist. He’s tainted his ‘legacy’ and is just ridiculously biased, even when compared to fellow ex-Liverpool players.

I take piers Morgan more seriously than King Kenny!
As a younger fan, that is exactly what I think about him.

Looks like RAWK is united in their disgust at the furlough situation

Thucydides nuts
Many upset over at RAWK by the clubs actions over staff wages. However it seems the mods have begun white-knighting for the club and categorising the criticism as "knee-jerk".

Wouldn't bother debating it. People are doing a lot of knee jerking and getting on their moral high horse right now.
Bit of a knee jerk reaction on here
Oh why don't you just go and sling your hook?!

A thread about furloughing and you jump right in with a comment about voiding. AGAIN!

Just feck off back to redcafe will you!

'Loris Karius has spoken publicly about the level of animosity that he received following his calamitous performance in the 2018 Champions League final.
On Thursday, Sports Bild reported Karius as saying:

“Believe me, I’ve learned a lot from that. In retrospect, I should have dealt with it more aggressively in public. I had a concussion after a blow from Sergio Ramos, which restricted my spatial vision. This was unequivocally ascertained in a detailed study by one of the world’s leading brain specialists. At first, I was happy to know what went on in this game. I didn’t want to make it public myself."

The keeper knew that there would be some critical analysis, but even he was taken aback by the pure vitriol.

"When the result was released, there was a lot of malice and insult, often well below the belt. I never used it as an excuse. But when people make fun of someone who has badly injured their head, I have no understanding. The reactions were over the top and disrespectful."'

What a twat. Mate, you threw the ball onto an opposition player's boot.
For all Mignolet's faults, if he'd come on in that match I don't think we'd have lost.

Once again demonstrating with no apparent self-awareness that wonderful paean to collective solidarity about never walking alone.

You'll Never Walk Alone.

Quite a few players have been finding that out recently.

Seen that for a few things, still funny.

(@Infordin ... what does the guy REALLY say to make him/other guy laugh so much?)
It's apprently a story about leaving some pans in the sea to wash and the next day they had gone.

"In June 2007, Joya appeared on Jesús Quintero's show Ratones Coloraos and described an incident when he worked as a dishwasher. He describes leaving some paella pans (paelleras) at night in the ocean to soak and clean, and when in the morning he returned to retrieve the pans, they had washed out to sea with the tide. He frequently interrupts the story with his trademark laugh.[3] The original video was uploaded to YouTube on June 25, 2007 and received over a million views eight years before the meme became widespread.[5]"

Gerrard: the legend continues...

How many retired players still have songs sung about them by opposition fans? That's a testament to his ability and what he meant to everyone.

The delusion is beyond ridiculous now. Even to the poi t where they're adamant that he's on a different level to Scholes, using Erikson's failings as England manager as proof.
It's utterly mind blowing.
Funny how they don't mention Alonso in the same breath.....

Gerrard: the legend continues...
Indeed. A legend for Chelsea fans in particular. He got vital assists for them in the Carling Cup Final 2005 and at Anfield in 2010 and 2014 to both help them win the league then deny the Dippers the league. No wonder why they gave him a standing ovation when he left the pitch for the last time at Stamford Bridge.

Gerrard wouldn't get into a Man Utd PL era greatest starting 11. (Obviously as he never played for us but you know what I mean).

Prick should've been done for match fixing.

Sterling scored early and were great, then when Skrtel scored from a corner like he had so often I was in floods of tears suddenly. I knew then it had worked, nothing could stop us. It was like watching a rocket take off and head for the sun.
