Also sunk hundreds of hours into TW:WH 2. If anyone fancies some MP I'm always game.
I think in all the hours I've played, I've maybe done 5 multiplayer battles, but I don't mind. Rarely have time though. My steam name is Kirk Duyt, can add me and see if we can find time to have a battle some day :)

I've signed up for Xbox Game Pass for PC, and just downloaded the latest Ori (loved the first one) and Subnautica, which I've wanted to play for ages.

Played an hour of Subnautica last night - it's bloody brilliant. Although I can never get very far without filling up my inventory and having to swim back to my escape pod...

So Subnautica... I mean it's pretty much a horror game right?

Shat my pants playing it last night... shouldn't have gone to investigate the crash site

Haven’t really done any gaming in years, but the lockdown has had me playing:
- Parkitect
- Out of the Park Baseball
- Prison Architect

All great, if you like simulation/ strategy/ management games.

I picked up Jedi: Fallen Order as it was on sale - it's superb, not sure why I wasn't enthusiastic about it when it came out. The visuals in the intro are genuinely staggering to me, and it's pretty hard which is refreshing. Digging the story so far too.

Will have to check it out.

Finally started Assasins Creed Odyssey myself now that I have a game of the year type edition and have some time to sit down for it (being home all the time). I now get why people raved about it so much. It's almost overwhelming how much stuff there is to do in the game. So much less linear than the Creeds of old. Some of the lighting effects when the moon or sun sets and rises are absolutely stunning to see - the way it peeks over hill tops and reflects on the water s surface. I can already tell though the game is almost too big.

I fell off pretty hard...after about 50 hours. Which definitely proved worth it for me. Absolutely stunning game, I have no idea how they made a world so big. It's almost too big for someone like me with relatively limited time to game (maybe 30 mins a day). Enjoy, so much amazing stuff to discover. Big fan of the hunts myself.

It was a beautiful game, I haven't finished it yet either. I think I got a bit burnt out grinding to level up enough to progress in the story. I think one of my main issues was some areas didn't have that much 'unique content'
Like Sparta as beautiful as it was, I was hoping for a few interesting side quests and there was very little apart from the standard stuff you get everywhere else, little disappointing when you consider that was the main region of one of the two factions and Athens had quite a bit of unique stuff.

One of my favourite side bits of content was the
AC's own version of Battle Royale, something a bit different and added to the game

I've been hammering Valorant, love the game proper skill based shooter.

Got me back into PC gaming, console for first person shooters is just such a low skill level.

Also got round to purchasing a 144hz monitor, definitely worth the upgrade makes such a big difference to gaming!

A good quarantine game if you've never played is No Man's Sky. Definitely best time to start, has so many free updates and features since launch. Found it very meditative.

Fell off, but after like 50 hours so I consider that great value.

I bought it at the start of April and played 45 minutes. My wife has since played 127 hours.

I'm back playing a MUD I've played for over 20 years on and off. It's absolutely fantastic MUD if any of you are old enough to know what that means - basically it's a PVP MMRPG game like WOW (World of Warcraft) but with no graphics and just text. You play with and against other players but also complete quests and kill PVE content. It's brilliant fun and I highly recommend people try it. You can download any MUD client or just use the website's own client which works well.

For those that are interested it's called Abandoned Realms and the website is www.abandonedrealms.com

It's 100% completely free by the way.

Finished Subnautica at the weekend. Loved it - towards the end it became a bit of a grind in getting certain materials, but the first 10 hours are so much fun/terrifying, exploring and finding wrecks and building really cool bases and vehicles.

I wanted to start Ori for the last few nights, but find it really difficult to tear myself away from my Football Manager save...

Have you tried CSGO? I haven’t fancied trying Valorant as to me it just looks like a poor attempt at a cs and overwatch hybrid, I would hazard a guess that if you love Valorant your going to really enjoy cs.

Only cod 2 and 4 has come close to being as good for me.

Took Elite Dangerous for a spin the other day and then gave up to play Hearts of Iron IV instead since I didn't want to bore myself to death.

I'm not exactly sure why you lot are so up in arms about Valorant, I mean a free game is a free game, but as far as the "poor" comment goes you are very wrong. Perhaps try it before slating it.

HOI 4 is probably the Paradox game I have played the least of. I wish there was a bit more choice of playable nations with custom focus trees, since I tend to avoid playing most of the big boys. I had a bit of fun trying a communist Mexico playthrough but ended up getting stomped by the U.S once they woke up.

Recently been watching some X4 streams and I am incredibly tempted to splash out. Looks like a game I could spend a few hundred hours in quite easily.

I am a cs fanboy yes but don’t fret I’ve nothing against Valorant I don’t really care much for it I disliked overwatch enough that I just have no feelings towards playing Valorant as it just doesn’t look my thing.

Nothing against anyone who plays it just a mere suggestion that the guy might love the king of competitive FPS.

The concept of Valorant actually pisses me off. Hate these hybrid type games that nick components from other games and smash them together. At least they made it free, thats one small thing going for it.

If I want great gunplay i'd play counterstrike and if I want a fps with Ults i'd play Overwatch.

Tomb Raider (2013) is available for free right now on Steam. It's a limited time offer but the game itself is pretty damn good.

My favorite game, fell in love with Lara again. Reboot was the best idea ever!

Valorant is just so awful to watch. And It's not fun to play. I'd only play it if i was being paid shitloads like most big streamers are.

I don't like csgo but this shit is hardly more skill based with so much corner/angle management (tactical if you prefer) that you don't really need high reflexes but just prediction and good positioning.

Some of the mods are great - Kaiserreich or the Man in the High Castle one. There's also the Fallout one. I usually only just play Paradox games but haven't had a go of Stellaris yet.

Yeah X4 looks good but not sure I've got the time for it at the moment.

did you find it boring? Because you expected something different or because of the type of game?
I have been thinking about buying it for a while since I really like No Mans sky, and the graphics seem very realistic, in addition to the galactic map.

To be fair I've probably put in a couple hundred hours since I got it years ago so I'm just burned out from it. It's insanely therapeutic just delivering cargo and having to deal with the odd pirate but it's really grindy. The map system can also be difficult to navigate when you're first starting out. The atmosphere is incredible though, you never get tired of charging your frame shift drive and entering a new star system, or docking in a big ass space station.

Feck it, might play it again tonight...

Delivering cargo while I wander it sounds great .
I read that there are versions in which it is not possible to land on the planets.
is it an important aspect in the game, that is, it improves it a lot or you can entertain yourself with other things?

You'll miss it if you don't get it to be honest. It's called Horizons but you can always just get the base game and decide if you want to buy the expansion. You'll just need to make sure that the missions you pick don't have a Horizons logo beside them otherwise you'll travel 100 light years to a planet that you can't land on
