Is it going to start soon? Can't find any specific news in english.
Second half of May was the timeframe I have seen. Apparently Bremen (the federal state) are pushing for a relatively late date, because Werder have not resumed training yet.

There is an interesting paradox laying in your words. They are true. But you are missing something: Not every shop is open again, and people questioning "why this and this can open but my shop could not." They are struggling with social distancing, jobs, kids, health and so on and so on. And take care with the aim of good things for the whole society. And then they see the rich football business (which got not problems like kids in school, homeoffice, money and so on) pushing and pushing so that it can "open again", followed by an insight where you can see whats the reality in modern football: the most important things in the heads of footballers are: My haircut and my money. 11% less money! While shiting on all simple rules the whole society is following since the begining of the pandemic. Compare that to the situations some people are in since weeks.

This whole situation will decrease the acceptence of the football which is way beyond normal life and people since years and keep on flying higher and higher.
This is the kind of political bullshit I was talking about. Not one actual argument about whether reopening the league may be okay or not okay from an public health point of view, just straight up "bloody millionaires!!".

Interesting news. It will be great to have football back. Bayern are 4/5 points ahead of 2nd and 3rd and a close top 4 race with Monchengladbach and Leverkusen. What’s the biggest games left if anyone knows?

You didn't get me. Of course it is (under some strict circumstances and rules) okay for the league itself to reopen. But i only mentioned what picture is painted about football in general to normal people, especially in the face of the Kalou-video.

Have they announced the fixtures/kick-off times? Only a week away.

I wonder if they would play some fan chants or background noise to give the illusion of fan attendance for people watching on tv ? Watching us play LASK a few months back in that empty stadium was very weird, just felt like a training match, I know some people have laughed at some of the german clubs putting in cardboard cutouts in the stands but with that and some fan noise added in i definitely feel it would help,

Great to hear. Let's hope it goes well, it can open an avenue for other leagues to consider a procedure under which they can have safe games held.

I have already secretly been fantasising about allowing a limited number of people back into the stadiums again. Now really sure how realistic that is (at a minimum no standing, no catering, mandatory masks which sounds stupid just typing it) but everything is moving so fast at the moment that I'm sure they'll be talking about it soon behind closed doors.

Is it a normal schedule? Majority of games on the Saturday at half 2, then one at half 5 and then two on Sunday (and the Monday game).

Looking forward to it anyway, I assume they're playing BCD at their own stadiums aswell?

That's the normal schedule, yes. With the exception of the Friday night game moved to Monday.
Excellent!

Of course Germany has had pretty low infections compared to other major european countries but bringing back football in this form is what I want to see e.g. playing at their actual home grounds rather than some windswept training centre in the middle of nowhere.

At least that way you still get a sembalance of "normality" even if there will be no crowds for a long while.

Sky announced that the Bundesliga conference on the first 2 Saturdays and the 2nd League conference on the first 2 Sundays will not be behind the Pay Wall in Germany.

Great idea. Iam thinking of a total new art(form) of DJing. Or to be more precise: A sample based liveact.

I'm sorry, but live streaming the dressing room is by itself already an incredibly stupid idea and on top of that he filmed himself shaking hands, live streamed the medical procedure of a team mate and live streamed Ibisevic talking/whining about wages, without giving him a warning.
Of course it was a dickhead move, and he said he knows it and he will live with the consequences. Still he is currently made the poster boy of the clueless spoilt millionaire football kid, which he very much isn't. He can't shake hands with his mates, all of whom are tested weekly, but he can duel them on the field 90 minutes long. that alone shows how random theses rules are.

And of course it all is political...

The entire team of Dynamo Dresden has gone into a two-week quarantine after two more players tested positive and will not be able to train or play for that time.

How many players have tested positive overall that the whole team has ended in quarantine?

One initially and two more during the third test on Friday. The decision to place them all in quarantine was made by local health authorities.
Hmmm quarantining the whole team after 3 players seems hasty. I guess their teams fixtures will be delayed.

Not sure what is going to happen now. They cannot train either so they will miss two games minimum but realistically four unless you expect them to play Tuesday and Friday fresh out of quarantine without preparation. Then there is the problem of re-arranging the fixtures with the season having to finish on 30 Jun or a third of all contracts in Bundesliga 2 expire and the last two matchdays of the season having to be on the same day for everyone.

Not sure what prompted the decision to place the whole team in quarantine which did not happen at Köln for example who also had multiple positive tests and which was not supposed to happen according to the DFL plan (and did not happen in Dresden after the first positive test) but this is pretty much a disaster.

Third division in Germany "will definitely play" says the German FA. Possible restart on May 26.
They even aim to allow amateur matches as of May 30th (at least in NRW), it really puts all the hysterics and outrage about Bundesliga starting two weeks before that into perspective. Don't get me wrong I think enforcing strict hygiene guidelines is a good thing and in some aspects they could even be doing more, but it seems like everywhere else caution is being thrown out the window. Delving into politics - Laschet in particular seems incredibly reckless to me, save for the city states his state is by far the most densely populated, the Ruhr Area, Cologne and Düsseldorf (adding up to around 7 million people) are all connected by one regional train line that's usually absolutely bursting with commuters every morning and afternoon. I don't understand how he can be at the forefront of loosening restrictions, sitting on that kind of tinder box.
