Thanks!
Also what about U-16's Kavanagh, Mather, Norkett? Do you think we could see them in U-18 at the last game/games of the season?
And what is your opinion on Forson? Still 15 but obviously struggled at that level and there were rumours about Arsenal.
All 3 of them are still u15s so probably unlikely to get any game time this season especially when we have such a large squad in the u18s but Kavanagh probably most likely of the 3 since he's been impressing in the u17s friendlies. I'd say Forson will stay considering he's already getting a decent amount of time for the u18s

The Athletic are saying United are one of the clubs interested in 16-year old from Aston Villa Carney Chukwuemeka.

I am pretty sure you can't sign pro deal before 17th birthday. I guess you can agree on it, and sign it on birthday like Mejbri and the rest of the kids are doing recently.

Have we signed that young lad to a long term contract (he scored against Wigan in the Youth Cup) they reckon he is highly rated

Unfortunately I cannot remember his name

Deji is a big talent IMO. From what I know his favored position is on the left wing, but he has played up top and on the other side too probably. Makes sense if he doesn't want to compete with club legend Rashford for a starting position though.

Shoretire. He‘s signed his scholarship with an agreement for his first pro deal. Will be a 1+2 deal iirc. Youth players can’t sign long term contracts.

As for Sotona, he’s decent but not particularly great really. He’d be a massive long shot to have any chance of making it here. Wouldn’t mind seeing an Irish player go to a European club.

I thought Sotana was among the more highly rated kids in that age group?

Theyr not all the same age group
Mengi 2002, Mejbri Apr 2003, Sotona Dec 2002, Elanga 2002, and kids signed last season playing in similar position Hoogewerf Feb 2003, Emeran 2002, Mejia Mar 2003. Even Hugill kid we just signed is 2003, and there will be probably more additions for 2003.

Looks like Sotona is good kid, and with kids you never know when they will step up. Look at Ramazani for example, you could not predict he will have great season after not that great last year. But similar to Ramazani, it will be difficult to see him getting chance above players like Chong and Gomes.

Sotona is in similar position like for example McCann, Helm, Wellens, Fish...I think they are second level above those mentioned above. At least at this moment. Are you too young for senior football at 18? I guess not in some leagues, depending on body size. You are definitely too young for top level football, for club like United, unless you are not top talent like Rashford, or Rooney. Coaches and manager will see that in training, they probably have regular games and training with first team. You never know if someone will blossom at once. From my point of view for most of the kids in this age, moving them to some affiliate club where you can control their playing time and training process, would be win win situation for both them and club. Like having club in Portugal, adding a few older players for experience in positions you don't have talents and adding 5-6 your own players like some of those mentioned above, would be beneficial. They would be able to gain experience in competitive matches, their value would rise, and even if they are not good enough for us, you would be able to sell them or loan them for another year to some club level above. Especially in current situation, it would not be a problem to find suitable club for that. Also, you would be able to get South Americans and players for Africa without working permit problems, and test them for a year or two.

So U18's Starting XI next season will be

Vitek - Jurado, Fish, Hardley, Pye - Wellens, Svidersky; Sotona, Shoretire, Emeran - Hugill

?
If Mejia can get fit then he could be in. Hoogewerf is also still available.

Iestyn was also highly rated and might finally get his chance.

Omari Forson to take a bigger role stepping up too.

And I doubt Vitek will come straight in and be starting over second years.

Very impressed with McCann this season, has a great chance of making it as a pro, will need to really step up next for the u23s to move up the ranks. Very good at setting the tempo of the game, could be a bit more ambitious with his passing.

Mejia instead of Hugill. I think Sotona will leave (just a feeling).
Most likely we will see the debut of Daniel Kavanagh at that level next season (Norket, Mather, Popov also have a chance). Also, will be interesting to see wheter Isak Hansen-Aaröen could push for the starting 11 role.

Dillon will probably play in U-23.

Depending on what Mellor and Ramazani do then I doubt he’ll go full into the u23s right away. He hasn’t exactly been good for the u18s. So unless the numbers are bare thin in the u23s I can’t see him being promoted right away.

But it’s also a lot harder to guess now as we’ll be going 6+ months without seeing any of them so they could be progressing or stalling massively behind the scenes.

Hard to say, lot depends on who goes up to the 23's etc....In a strongest 11 possible, Hannibal and Hoogerwerf would certainly be in.

Ramazani is leaving, it seems. Mellor is a hard-working guy, but I think there is 0 chance he will make it here.

I think Emeran will be with the u23s before long. I just hope he's recovered from the injury that curtailed his progress for the entirety of the season.

We still have Hoogewerf (who I don't think proved enough this season to play above his age group full-time), Mejia, also Iqbal, Forson and Savage on midfield who will all compete for a spot. Aaröen might play ahead all of them if he's as good as it's reported to be. Also Hughes at fullback who might play ahead of Jurado or Pye.

Both Guardano and Mee are older than Vitek so I don't think he'll start, but again I hardly saw Guardano ever played.

Guadagno* speaking of him, I think he will get a bigger role next season although we have a lot of keepers so hard to take a spot... I think we can expect a lot of keepers to go out on loan again.

I would expect the other players retained from this season’s Under 16's would get their chance before the lads from the U15,s.
