my big decision is whether to WC to a complete new team (as I originally planned) or stick with what I have - went heavy on the DGW so several players I would change but also my team is not that bad so Im thinking might be worth sticking with for another week or two

Already used one transfer to go Aguero to Rashford (wanted to dump Auba but injury to Aguero forces my hand).

I would have to make another change though, as I only have 0,1 and subs as cheap as possible, plus there is always a chance that salah is properly injured, as he didn’t come on at all?

The fact that he didn't come on at all when the derby was in the balance is what's concerning me.

If he wasn't fit to come off the bench when you've 5 subs, he's hardly going to start the next game, is he? He may only come on for 10 or 20 against Palace.

Quite happy with it although a bit worried about the triple Utd as I've never done that before!! Normally I have a very cheap bench but have spent a bit more on it to ensure I have players who should all play minutes if they're needed to come on due to rotation of any first team players.

Struggling to decide on who to captain? Any suggestions? Currently on Fernandes but just have a gut feeling Salah would be the safer bet!

My league has a tenner for that and i was gutted enough to miss out on that!

I’m not sure, I’ll ask him later. I know they have a fair few people involved and it’s not cheap to be in. They have a big Christmas payout and some others along the way too. The big one at the end is £1200!

He won the Christmas one and last years biggie so is up anyway.

Tricky captaincy call this week. I could happily go with any of Son, Mane, KDB, Fernandes, TAA, Jimenez or Calvert-Lewin (vs Norwich).

I'm probably going to give it to Fernandes or Son... I know if I give it to Fernandes I'll jinx his good run though.

I’m using my free hit to get out of trouble, with Sheffield Utd players out, Luiz suspended and Leno/Aguero injured, but am definitely going to pay for the DGW selections next week.

I will probably have to take a -8 to get the team to a reasonable state, and even then will be stuck with aubameyang and the at least one Villa midfielder!

I’m wildcarding and playing around with my options. Pretty sure the following are certs:

• Martinez should offer value at 4.2. I get the arguments for going for an evergreen like Pope or Fabianski, but all the stories coming out of Burnley suggest they are in real turmoil and Fabianski is just conceding without picking up save points. I’d maybe have interest in Dubravka, but he’s a bit too dear at 5.1.
• TAA and Doherty are the likely two top scorers until the end of the season, and a second Wolf in Boly/Saïss seems great value.
• KDB, Son, Bruno, Jimenez and DCL all look to offer great value. All have great fixtures and KDB could play Liverpool every week and still be essential.
• Other than that I likely want to max out on United;
• I want to have at least 12 players I would be happy with starting most weeks, due to more rotation. I think this is really important and arguably you want at least 13 good players, unless you are going to get lucky;
• I need to decide whether I can go without both of Salah or Mane and invest the funds elsewhere.

Followed a lot of this logic in my team.

Single keeper Martinez as while the fantasy site still have Leno 25% to play the next game, some papers are talking a year out!

Feels a little light up top but team value simply isn't as high as some who can do the big two in defence, big 4 in mid and still get a Rashford!

Might have been nice to get more United in but I'll still celebrate those goals in a way i wouldn't if Mane or Son score!

Could have gone Saiss and Ings instead of Doc and Dcl but Ings has a tough run and it's nice to have Doc

The assist makes it less of a bast, but i'd be surprised if he out bonuses him unless he scores or assists later. So could still be a 6point hit.

I'm just glad the guys i'm competing with for the heady heights of the....8th place tenner in my work league don't have TAA!

The last couple of times I've checked the Live FPL bonus points site i've gone to sleep thinking my player got some, then woke up the next day to find they hadn't.
They don't seem as on it recently.
Son for instance got none when I'd seen 2.

I free hitter after an 107 bench boost week and the gamble will all depend on KdB. I’m hoping he is rested against Chelsea and then I am quids in despite an average score this week.

I say average but it looks to be, hopefully, a low scoring week in general!

It is a pure 50-50 luck out with those two isn't it.

It'll be interesting what they do in the game next season - if Rashford is down as a striker, those two should be.
And I guess we can count on Martial moving to a striker.

Unless you come across someone with Schmeichel (14!), Martial (don't even want to think about it), TAA and Salah, scores will hopefully be mediums!
