Been strongly linked to Liverpool. Would be a brilliant signing for them.

cnut wants to go to Liverpool. Would be devastated. As if 2013 wasn’t bad enough.

€80m he will cost according to the very reliable kicker magazine if he doesn't extend.
He has a year left on his deal. I’m sure Bayern could get strong armed a bit on that.

I think they'll fly him to Liverpool, give him a tour, which should be enough to strong arm him into signing a new contract.

He actually sounds pretty good option though highly unlikely it's quite plausible we might be interested because Matic needs replacing and we could do with his understudy as soon as next season.
By any chance do you follow French league , somebody mentioned another brazilian Bruno Guimarães plays for Lyon who seemed interesting prospect as Matic's replacement as well.
Sorry, I haven't really watched the French league since Pastore was a key player for PSG, and Fekir was at Lyon. Two of my favourites.

I have heard of him, though, but I don't think I've ever watched him so I don't have an opinion on him.

As far as Matic replacements, a Brazilian midfielder called Leo Sena is, imo, the spits of Matic. From his size, to the way he shields the ball under pressure, to the way he dribbles/carries the ball forwards. When I'm watching him I think I'm watching Matic at times.

Kimmich is the best Bayern midfielder and one of the few players in the squad who is truely irreplacable at the moment. Arguably almost as important as Lewandowski. Thiago is beautiful to watch and obviously great, but I don't think he ever had the same impact as Kimmich has at the moment.
Kimmich isn't fit to lace Thiago's boots. He should leave Bayern just cause of statements like this.

Only player we could get to replace Pogba and there not be a drop off in quality.

I dont get why Moyes was so against signing a top talent like Thiago at the time.

So a "Benitez desperately trying to sell Alonso to part-fund the purchase of mighty Gareth Barry" situation then?

And Moyes has the cheek to complain. Seriously what the hell we were thinking when we appointed him?

Shows how much you watch Bayern! Kimmich is absolutely class.

No he's not as fancy but for a midfielder he does all the dirty work + scores and assists plenty too. He's the perfect combination of workhorse and skill and presses like a mad man.

I vaguely remember Giggs being involved in this Thiago business too.
Cant remember if he was for or against the signing.

Imagine we could have had added kroos into the he mix a year later(confirmed by Kroos himself)Carrick at the base with Kroos and Thiago ahead would have atleast kept us top 4. Our managers are the ones who stopped us from being great all these years.

The only thing that Kimmich lacks is speed. He has excellent technique, passing range, vision and positioning.

Wow. I am honestly speechless. That man had the cheek to turn down Thiago? Twice? Does he realise how bad of a manager he was? What authority did that man have that hes turning down WORLD CLASS PLAYERS FROM JOINING UNITED?????

And dont get me started on Van Gaal.

For some reason I seem to think he said he wasn't a Utd sort of player, but I could be barking up the wrong tree entirely.
That's what I read in the papers. How much of it is true who knows. I personally think once Pep went in for him we did not stand a chance. I think Ballbag the big Scouse fan is stirring things up.

He was ours until Moyes killed it because he thought was getting Fabregas. Absolute joker.

Moyes himself confirmed it.
He said Giggs and Phil Neville told him Thiago was not a Man Utd player.
I am speechless.

Don't know how real the comments from Balague are. Maybe Thiago might have preferred to come to United and Moyes rejected, that was what was being said at the time as well, but I don't think it's as dramatic as he's making it out (asking at he last moment).

Thiago said later on that De Gea asked him to join but he said 'it was always going to be Bayern' . Make of that what you will.

The story at the time was that Thiago, Strootman and someone else were done deals but Moyes wanted to scout them personally before taking a decision. It sounds realistic when Moyes was also known as dithering dave at Everton.

For everything fantastic that SAF did - he really did get his trousers pulled down by the whole Moyes thing......can’t imagine for one minute SAF thought everything was going to go to Moyes’ head and that he genuinely thought he was the Messiah and he was going to do it his way......he was allowed to proceed unchecked and that was the start of our monumental downfall......nobody ever needed to question Fergie and so assumed the same with the Chosen One

I think he and Barca had a disagreement over playing time.

Wikipedia says this about it. 'The transfer (to Bayern) came despite a new contract that Barcelona had given Thiago in 2011 which set his release clause at €90 million.[19] Barcelona failed to fulfil clauses in the contract relating to the amount of playing time that Thiago received, and as a result the player's buy-out clause dropped to €18m.

Madness if true when you consider what a top player he was then, and has gone on to be.
A full behind the scenes of how Barca is run would probably raise a few eyebrows. I mean this is just bonkers having a clause like that to begin with.

Shocking if true and to think he was basically endorsed by Fergie. Possibly the worst manager we have ever had...Moyes not Ferguson
