Fred showed his disappointment when he was subbed off before McT in the Spurs game and I personally think he will be hurting/motivated to show that he should be the 3rd midfielder in the Pogba/Bruno.

Ultimately, no matter the team, it will be on Ole to set the tone. He needs to get the team fired up before the game starts and count on our energy to dictate the game.

For sure; and considering our results in some big games under Ole, I'm confident he's got that covered.

I think the GK, back 4 and midfield double pivot are easy calls, and I am pretty sure Igalho will start, but the 3 in behind him could go any way, hopefully Gomes gets some game time.

Yeah he is better at AM than CM, but that doesn't mean he's any good at AM. He's too slow, both his feets and brain. When he should pass he shoot, vice versa etc. His first touch, anti pressing and keeping the ball are all shocking. Imo he's probably the worst midfielder has ever played for us. Or at least he's up there about.

For Lingard, well at least only his brain is slow imo.

I'm not really bothered about this game. Under normal circumstances, it's a great chance to progress but there's bigger priorities and there's too many good teams still left in it for it to be easily winnable.

Then again they might just give up on the league and try to get to wembley and give it a shot. Tricky decision for Ole but lets be honest if we can't rely on Lingard/Pereira/Mata then they shouldn't be here any longer. I think it's only fair/right we give them an opportunity to keep their places here, but they MUST grab it. They've all lost their places to better places now so they need to show they have what it takes.

We know Lingard is better than what he's been showing the last 18 months or so, not sure Pereira has that extra level.

If he could go on one of those crazy runs of form he had previously to the end of the season, it can only be a good thing. It might prompt someone to come in for him with a decent offer.

Agree. I fully expected Jesse to be a really useful rotation player at United and to spend the majority of his career at the club. But his form has been so unbelievably poor, it looks like his time at the club is up.

Hiring Raiola as his agent seems to just confirm he's on the way out.

Perhaps but you can understand the need for it. Wolves have no cup game so they will be fresh. We can't underestimate them in this race either. And we have a gap to close to 3rd and 4th.

I would be annoyed if we can't get the job done today with making 7 or 8 changes. Even if it's not quite as pretty it's about getting the job done and also giving us a good chance on Tues at Brighton.
