We can't rest Fernandes for this match because this match will be surely our toughest match for the next few weeks......we can rest him against Bournemouth because between this match -> Bournemouth (4 days) and then Bournemouth -> Aston Villa (5 days) should give him enough time to rest.

Glad guys are actually seeing why I said don’t play Shaw and play Williams but apparently Shaw is better in every department...

Tempted to have Bruno on the bench, but I think he'll be fine. Shaw rotated out as he played 120 minutes today. That midfield 3 together, Martial and a Rashford coming back in form and we'll be fine though. Greenwood as well is so smart on the ball.

Seriously play our best 11, kill the game early then subs. Geez.

*sub with Matic when Brighton are playing too defensive.

Wolves have some tough fixtures coming up to be fair. If we just do our job, then we should be perfectly fine. I think Leicester can get caught and we've got them last game of the season.

    De Gea
    AWB--Lindelof--Maguire--Williams
    Matic--Pogba
    Greenwood--Bruno--Rashford
    Martial

I initially thought Bruno should be rested but he will likely be ok. Plus we've got 4 days until Bournemouth after this and then 5 days between Bournemouth and Villa.
If anything, he can be rested a little for Bournemouth.

Shaw is better. The only way Williams starts is if Shaw needs a rest. Ole couldn't trust Williams against Norwich.

That right wing would setting the team up for another underwhelming performance.

Only players who I worry about over fitness right now are Maguire, Shaw and Bruno.

Maguire we simply cannot drop, and he should be ok considering how relatively little he's had to do over the last 2 games despite the minutes racked up.

Bruno I would be treating as an impact sub for this similarly to Pogba v Spurs. Shaw shouldn't have more than an hour regardless of how the game is going. He looked tired v Norwich and has a poor injury record. We can't afford to lose players unnecessarily right now.

Nice to see the respect a lot of people are giving Brighton. But I have to say I don’t expect us to get anything from this, a draw is my best hope and I’d settle for a point.

Play the same team we did against Sheffield United. Hopefully we can get the game won and then give Bruno his rest, I don't want us taking any chances with only one of Bruno and Pogba.

Any sort of win would do. I actually fancy Moyes to take something from Chelsea. It is imperative that we win our game to pile some pressure on Chelsea and Leicester.

As much as I think Bruno needs a rest we simply can’t afford to right now. Every games a must win now need to be playing our strongest team as much as possible.
This is great in theory but what happens when he pulls his hamstring having been over exerted and is out for 6 weeks?

Now Pogba’s back we should have more than enough to dominate Brighton- keep Bruno on the bench for an emergency

Brighton away will be no cake walk. Bruno's work rate and creativity is a must for this game. We're not in a position to really take chances in the league. The very next game (Bournmouth at OT) is a good opportunity to give him a rest if required.

If we are resting Bruno we could go 4-3-3 and play Pogba on the left of the midfield 3 with Mctominay/Matic and Fred like he did at Juve.

    Why?

James is better in away games and pretty much fully fresh after not playing the Norwich game and only 10-20 minutes of the Sheffield United one, while Wan-Bissaka didn't play against Norwich either.

Brighton has managed 4 points out of 6 to start the post lockdown games when most people would have expected them to get 0. This makes me think they will come onto us as this is a free hit so to speak. We'll need energy and pace on the counter.

I'm pretty sure James will start anyway.

With how tired we looked yesteryear I'm not holding my breath here for a top performance. A bitty victory is the best I think we can offer.

This is going to be a difficult game. We haven't beaten Brighton since their promotion right?

Hope the team are ready, there can be no slacking around. Everyone has to give it their all

Even if, God forbid, we are losing, take Bruno off at the 65th minute. Really don’t need him getting injured. Aside from that, no concerns. This team (bar Williams) looked fantastic against Sheffield and its high time we obtain some consistency in our team sheets. 1-3 United.

P.S. @The Boy I’ve not seen much of Brighton this year but your boys looked good against Arsenal and deserved the win. Care to enlighten us about your performances in 2020 so far?

If Everton can beat Leicester at Goodison (possible) and we can come away with 3 pts at Brighton it's squeaky bum time guaranteed. Assuming Chelsea win too that would leave things:

    3. Chelsea 57
    4. Leicester 54
    5. United 52 (on GD)
    6. Wolves 52

You’ve not won at ours but you’ve beaten us at OT 3 times since we came up. Twice in the Orem and once in the FA Cup

The suspension of the league came at the right time for us. We started the season quite well, which was surprising given that Potter has us playing very differently from last season under Hughton.

But our form fell away after Christmas and the win against Arsenal was our first win in 2020. To be fair Arsenal were the better team and dominated us for most of the game, but fell apart after they scored and let us back in. Against Leicester I thought we looked equal to them, but they like Arsenal are a team in a difficult rut, you on the other hand are not. As I said above you’ve not won at the Amex since we came up, but you’re in good form and the way we play will suit you quite well I think, we quite open and attacking, but I worry that’ll just okay into your hands. We’ll see.
