So whats gonna be next chapter in this mans life? Wouldnt mind him being third after De Gea and Henderson, but still hope to see him starting in some PL club and saving his career.
Joe Hart, you can’t be serious? I’d rather have Bret Hart in goal for us.

Are you real? Not only is he absolutely dog shit, he's a twat. I'd rather have Lingard extend his contract and play 3rd choice keeper.

I really can't believe the amount of hate this guy gets on the CAF. His career is over and he is not a keeper he used to be. The Birmingham years and his first three to four seasons at City were more than impressive. And as far as the "almighty Pep" argument City are still waiting on a decent keeper and its one of the positions (defence as well) they are lacking in comparison to the current Champions.

I loved him when he was at City and I feel sorry for how much he’s declined since, but then I see this and my sympathy disappears

Blimey, I bet he's unbearable to be around.

Very good at his peak, had some excellent performances early on at City, particularly in the Champions League, but he's always come across as a total boob (though I'd wager the majority of footballers have a repertoire of horrendous chat)

Pep knew he was a fraud the moment he arrived at City and couldn’t wait to drop him and from the keeper Pep finally brought in you cannot argue.
Well when he first brought in Bravo, I'm not sure it was much of an improvement on Joe Hart - slightly better footwork than Hart, but overall as a keeper not as good. I also felt that even though Pep genuinely did want a change in keeper, getting rid of Hart was a bit of a Billy big bollocks move. Hart was actually decent at that time, and was coming off the back of some consistently good seasons. However, that must've shot his confidence to pieces because all the subsequent moves (Torino, West Ham, Burnley) have been poor.

I was listening to his interview on the BBC podcast, and it's insane how little self awareness he has. He clearly has a very high opinion of himself, and seems to be stuck in 2014. He also believe there has been no decline but that in football "everything is about politics".

Saying Bravo had slightly better footwork than Hart is like saying van Dijk is a slightly better defender than John Stones. Bravo was woeful for us but on the ball he’s excellent. I think you’re reading too much into Pep’s motive. Hart’s ability with the ball was notoriously shit and that was in a system where it was not at all important, there was simply no way he could work in Pep’s system without significant compromises. Agreed about the rest though, Hart had put his worst behind him and was great in his last season, his decline since has been bizarre. He was hard done by at Burnley, he was actually good for them before he got harshly dropped.

Fair enough, I don't recall Hart's distribution being as bad as you say but you certainly saw him more than I did.

I just feel for him. Interesting character and I don't believe he cant be anywhere near where he used to. I just would like to see him play. Lingard dont have balls this man has, so it's not a competition.

Didn't a fair portion of the country get outraged on Hart's behalf when Pep did that? Then proceed to make him out to be the second coming of Jesus every time Bravo made a mistake.

I think he has had the “loud-mouth, cocky, on top of the world player gets humbled and embarrassed” part of the story arch now.

Terrible in Torino, Burnley went on a really poor run with him before Heaton (I think) came back in. He has plummeted in stock and now has stories where “he just wants someone to believe in him”. I feel sorry for him now.

It’s time for the triumphant return part of the story. Do really well at an unfancied Championship club, help get them promoted and do the heroics to keep them in the Prem against all odds.

Was he hard done by? I seem to recall him making good saves, however he seemed to concede pretty much every game! For a side like Burnley who are uber defensive and focus on closing off the angles it just wasn’t good enough. They had a point where their system was just incredibly strong defensively and the numbers backed that. Pope and Heaton had some incredible statistics amongst goalkeepers. I remember when Pope came in for Heaton initially and everyone was expecting a drop off but there was none. It was majorly to do with the system rather and how much protection they received. Hart unfortunately couldn’t keep up with it. I thought it was a superb move for him in terms of getting his confidence back but they already had two England international GKs.

all much better keepers than this clown. in trying to be relevant, they dismiss pre-PL players that really were legends.

I think he can look back and be pretty happy with his career, won 6 trophies at City, has 4 golden glove awards and went to 4 tournaments for England. 2009-2012 seemed to be his peak though. A couple of the goals he let in at at Euro 2016 were awful.

He conceded an average of over 2 goals a game which is pretty poor, he got dropped for Heaton who conceded nearly half of what he did in the same amount of games, doesn't seem like he was hard done by in all honesty it seems like they made the right decision really, obviously that's not all Hart's fault but he has to take some of that blame and in hindsight it's surely viewed as the right decision to drop him.

He's always had a mistake in him, I think part of it initially seemed like over confidence, I always thought he tried making hollywood saves from memory and could look a bit of a dick when it backfired, he also went through a phase of getting beat at his near post quite a bit. He did have his moments and had a good few seasons but I don't think it's fair to suggest he's been hard done by anywhere, just seems he's got worse in his career.

It doesn't surprise me he doesn't take any blame and uses football politics etc, always seemed a bit of a wanker to be honest.

This can only mean one destiny: teaming up with Showbiz Brendan at Leicester.

Even as we speak, Bogart Brendan is pacing the beaches of...er...Leicester, hands in his raincoat pocket and staring at the shore as he wonders how to lift his team's fading fortunes. Just like he's seen people do in the pictures. "I've got it!" he shouts at the moon while clenching a fist, "Joe Hart and his uber-confidence is the key!"

THE END

Yeah they did but guessing the media hadn’t built Hart up high enough to knock him down and Pep stepped in and put him on the scrap heap. As soon as Hart started to do those cringeworthy head and shoulders adverts he seemed to regress as a player as probably believed his own hype and could do no wrong.

Pickford will go the same way there is no doubt in my mind as he is another dick head English keeper who isn’t as good as he thinks he is.

As a third choice keeper it makes sense for us - I have always thought he was rubbish but he is very experienced and we need to reduce the amount of non-HG players we have in the squad so it makes sense to me. Maybe he will be a good guy to have about the place. He will be Vorm's replacement if he comes.

Mourinho, when quizzed about the signing of Joe Hart, “Joe is experienced, Premier League proven and knows what it takes to win titles; however, the thing that sticks out most about Joe, is his neck.”

So what you're saying is Joe puts his (long) neck on the line?

I think at this rate we’ll both need our coats. Cheers of ‘and stay out!’ will bellow behind us.

Had to switch him off after 30 seconds.

That actually was mind bending. I went back for another listen and it was... beyond bizarre. I guess I’m officially out of touch.

If you'd said to Hart in 2012 that eight years later he'd be signing for a PL club as homegrown squad meat he'd have laughed in your face and sprayed you with shampoo. However if it's a move that works for both parties fair play.

Hart will probably get a decent number of games. In early part of the season Spurs will be playing europa league and league cup ties in the same week.

I can't see it - he will be third choice behind Gazzaniga. He might get League cup or something but not Europa League.

I think it’s a good thing though, right? Although the tone of his voice is confusing me. I think blood and fam are interchangeable with how he uses them. Although are they not meant to be used when you’re happy? And he doesn’t sound happy. Damn. I’m tapping out. feck, we’re going to be the subject of ridicule for not knowing this.
