Association Football Club Bournemouth (nicknamed The Cherries and Boscombe) is a professional football club based in Bournemouth, Dorset. The exact date of the club's foundation is not known, but there is proof that it was formed as Bascombe FC in the autumn of 1899 out of the remains of the older Boscombe St. John's Lads’ Institute FC. Nicknamed The Cherries (Dean Court was built adjacent to the Cooper-Dean estate, which encompassed numerous cherry orchards), the team traditionally played in red shirts with white sleeves until 1971, when the strip was changed to red and black stripes, similar to that of AC Milan. The club was renamed in 1923 to Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic F.C. in 1923, which was the name until 1972, when it becomes A.F.C. Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have won the second and third tiers of English football, and were twice runners-up of the fourth tier. They have also won the Football League Trophy, and the Football League Third Division South Cup. Bournemouth have spent the majority of their history bouncing between the third and fourth tier of English football. Under manager Eddie Howe, they have risen through the pyramid; the 2015–16 season was Bournemouth's first ever in England's top division. Bournemouth's biggest rivals are Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading FC and Southampton FC. They play their home games at Dean Court, Bournemouth — currently known as the Vitality Stadium.

Williams for Shaw. No Pereira and Lingard in the squad, don't play James, we're good to go.

These feckers have a habit of raising their game against us. And they're not bad away from home against the big boys.

Same 11. Keep Lingard away from match day squad, job done.

Hopefully get a good lead and rest Bruno and Paul.

Based on the last 5 Prem results, they're the most out-of-form team in the league.

    We'll smash them.

Same 11. I know Williams is a good young player but a left footed player at left full back is important for how United want to play, and Shaw is playing well.

Why do people keep saying Williams for Shaw while the latter has been playing well and he's part of our current winning starting 11?

Don't you guys see that Ole trusts Shaw and rightly so.

Has to be the same starting eleven. Don’t try fixing something that doesn’t need fixed. Get the game won early doors and then start taking off our best players for the backup squad players.

Same eleven again. No doubt Bournemouth will be better than Brighton but we just have too much class in that starting lineup. Rashford is waiting on a goal and have a couple of levels in him to reach after coming back, Martial can score again, Greenwood might score, Pogba want a goal, then there is set-pieces and Maguire and I haven't even mentioned Bruno yet.

I think Lindelof and Maguire was more than solid this last game, so I'm hoping they can continue without any silly mistakes this game. If they do, United to win 3-0.

Completely agree, mate. There's a reason he's one of three to start every game since returning. He's a key part of why our defence has looked so solid recently.

Same XI, maybe Williams if Shaw needs a break. We should have far too much for them.

Baring injury there is no reason not to start the same 11 again , need to keep the momentum going and keep the pressure on Chelsea and Leicester.

I can't see any reason not to start the same 11 as today if everyone is fit, I mean the players have 3 days rest before this match and it's at home so no travel.

Cannot wait for this game now. Just attack and we’ll win comfortably — 4 goals conceded in 16 games shows us that the defence will be fine.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Play the strongest team, rotate when we’re winning comfortably. Expand a bit more energy to get the GD up as Bournemouth can’t defend and the next game is only 6 days later.

Prediction: United 4-0 Bournemouth (Rashford X2, Bruno, Martial)

The way we're going, anything less than 4 nil would be disappointing. Same 11 of course. Hopefully get the game done quickly so we can make changes. If we get at this lot, it could be over by half time. They're in dire straits at the moment.

Because he doesn't whip in sexy crosses or takes free kicks like David Beckham TAA or bomb down the left side and play like Evra Marcelo.

Seriously, he's been really solid and reliable for the team and I'm surprised he's played so many matches and minutes on the bounce a la Maguire. Even though he hasn't been scoring or really come close (Marcus), Rashford and Shaw have done well together on the left hand side.

I mean there is a reason he's started in all our games during our 15 unbeaten run. You'd think people would stop a few seconds to think why he's so trusted by the coaching stuff but apparently not. Our defensive record in this 15 games stretch has been monumental but no let's toss an integral piece of that defense because we're thirsting to see what we believe should be a true left back.

Honestly this crying for tossing Shaw has really gotten annoying at this point. I don't particularly clamor for the guy but listening to people on these boards constantly downplaying his contribution and what he brings to the team so they can complain about him is quite irritating. So childish at this point.

Shaw has given no reason to be dropped in fact he's only been making cases for him staying in the line up given he's such an integral part of what we've become right now and has helped shored up our defense. What do people even want? To win or just see their favorite players play?

Not sure how Ole will handle coming off of two consecutive 3-0 victories to face a relegation squad... This could be Ole's first real test.

We know the starting XI. Let the beatings commence!

Bournemouth on Saturday, Villa on Thursday, Southampton the following Monday, Palace the Wednesday and then Chelsea the 18th (then finishing the season with West ham mid week and Leicester the next weekend).

Don't see a reason why we can't go full strength this weekend. Southampton at home I would understand some rotation, but very little rotation needed between now and then IMO. Tuesday to Saturday is decent rest, especially as the game against Brighton wasn't that tiring probably. Go full strength, then rest players if we go a couple goals up.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Martial
Ighalo, James, Williams, Fred and McTominay to be the subs.

Same starting 11. Has to be injuries aside.

I'd be happy to just keep the momentum going, it would be a really shit banana skin given what's been going on so far.

    Start fast! Turn the screw.

Anything like the last 2 league performances should be enough barring a Burnley 30 shots at goal 0-0 kind of situation.

Ideally, we should aim to play the same starting XI and try to get the game wrapped up quickly so we can make subs at the 60 mins mark or so.

I think for the remainder of our games, scoring early is most important. As we saw with the games against Brighton and Sheffield United we scored within 25 minutes which calmed the squad and took confidence away from the other team. Whereas, the games against Spurs and Norwich we didn't score until the 2nd half and they gained confidence in their defence while he became more frustrated.

What bodes well is that this XI had 2 games 3-0 and they should play again.

And they are playing today which gives them 24 hours less time between the games...and Wilson is already suspended
