The ancient Maya amongst other old cultures believed that after a long dark period, the mankind slowly starts to wake up to a new era of light and remember who we really are.

It's time to feel smug and bullish. Best midfield combo in the League, and maybe in the world. Any team has better?

Hopefully we're able to see them together for another 5 years.

Pogba is 27, Bruno is 25, they could easily have 5 years in them if Pogba stays.

Pogba has the passing range and the physicality to adapt his game as he ages, so he doesn't really rely on pace.

Really hoping Paul signs a new deal because with those two the midfield is something special to watch in world football.

It really worked much better than anything I have imagined that Pogba actually deserves an apology from me for doubting he can be such a mature figure in midfield.

Agreed mate. It's just rare for footballer to maintain consistency more than 3 years. But I'm not complaining if we have them for 5 years.

Should include Matic as well, glue that holds it together
This all day! I said in the build up to the come back that I wanted this trio and I was told it wouldn’t have the legs.

Screw that, they just dominate instead.

Remember when we were legit excited by the prospect of Schneiderlin and a crocked Schweinsteiger!?

I want him to stay (Pogba) ONLY if he changes his attitude, commit to the club by signing a new deal and is 100% focused on the club.

I predicted this so I hope they don't let me down. Two ball players in tandem is the way to go.

Pogba has been absolutely brilliant since he’s started playing with Bruno. Commitment and graft. Tracking runners. Making tackles all over the shop. I’d forgotten/stopped caring how good he was because of the negativity surrounding him wanting to leave but I understand now he’s a top player and he doesn’t want to have to carry a supposed major team by himself. I’m confident he’ll sign a new deal. I really want us to keep him around, he’d be impossible to replace.

Edit: any midfielder would love to come in and be the 3rd player in that unit. It’s potentially world class.

They're great but we need to figure out who goes alongside them, two attacking players places a big burden on the guy covering them. Matic isn't capable of doing that for a full season anymore and even now better opposition will expose his lack of mobility.

Pogba and Bruno sitting in a tree,
O-W-N-I-N-G,
First comes Paul,
Then comes Fernandes,
Then comes a trophy in the trophy cabinet.

Perfect-I-S-H.

Don't forget Matic in behind them keeping things calm (and what a pass for the 3rd today).

*shudder*

Really though, I didn't expect their partnership to be this good. I thought that after all the hype, they'll flatter to deceive and we'll be hearing more and more bollocks about Pogba wanting to leave.

But Bruno has genuinely made Pogba a better player for us. Pogba is no longer having to shoulder all responsibility for being the creative hub in midfield, allowing to thrive deeper in midfield.

I think that's been the problem really. He's come from Juventus where they win the league every season and compete in the Champions League. Then at United it's been a battle for top 4 or even worse, and Europa. Now he's playing alongside Bruno instead of Lingard, Pereria, Fellaini and United look like they can challenge properly next season. So he's much more likely to be happier and it's probably what he expected when he signed for the club.

I was wrong about Pogba. I really hope he stays. It turns out that if you partner Pogba with a good playmaker (as opposed to Lingard or Andreas) Pogba can actually shine.

On paper I can't see a better midfield 3 in the league, well certainly once David Silva has left City in a few weeks

Dare to say the top 3 best midfielders in PL currently are KDB, Bruno & Pogba. Glad we've two of them and I'm glad Silva is ageing as well.

The two of them are amazing together. Just feel that we need another attack minded midfielder because the drop iff in standards is shocking. Not a dig at McFred they will be needed in the tougher games... but Mata and Lingard are no standins... Periera I am still not sure on... maybe fitting into a confident team is what he needs.

Mostly off the pitch (pressers himself, agent, brother etc). On the pitch, doesn't seem happy/motivated to play here anymore (not right now).
What?

Have you watched any United games recently? It's the complete opposite.

I swear some of our fanbase are blind.

Agreed.

Cant wait to play City and not get dominated in midfield.

Pogba looks a lot less like a headless chicken because he now has a defined role.

Previously you could see he was trying to get in the box then amble back to create a body in midfield; he’s now hanging back mostly with a few timed runs & just controlling from deep.

You can see he now has 100% faith in a fellow midfielders ability so he lets Bruno do his thing.

We need to keep hold of Pogba & build on this.

Most of the time, they pressed pogba so hard because of his long passing ranges which can rip them apart as long as they're playing a high line and is more prone to counter-attack. Having Bruno joining our team may be bit too much for them to press two players at the same time. I think they'll have less possession of ball on purpose to avoid getting hit on break even though they'll have more than 50% possession.

Absolutely outstanding. I really hope this changes Pogba's desire to play for the club. If we lose Pogba we have to buy similar quality to replace him. I don't think similar quality is out there, remotely available.
