Crystal Palace Football Club (nicknamed CPFC, The Glaziers and The Eagles) are a professional football club based in South Norwood, London. Crystal Palace were founded in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium, who wanted their own team to play at the historic venue. When Crystal Palace were founded, they turned to one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time, Aston Villa, to seek advice. Villa helped the club in a number of ways, not least by donating their kit. As a result, Palace's colors were originally claret and blue shirts paired with white shorts, socks tending to be claret. They kept to this formula fairly consistently until 1938.

The club initially played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside the grounds of The Crystal Palace, but the First World War saw them forced to move out, and they enjoyed a number of seasons at both the Herne Hill Velodrome and The Nest. Although Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy, they have played in the First Division for the majority of their existence, finishing 3rd once, and losing the 1990 FA Cup Final to Manchester United. Crystal Palace play their homes games at Selhurst Park, and share sporting rivalries with South London neighbors Milwall, former tenants Charlton, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

If Chelsea and Leicester win their games, we can beat them. If either drop points, we will, too.

Well that late goal changes things, minimal changes. One probably enforced at left back and that’ll probably do

time for them to raise their game one final time this season,

short rest, and once again Leicester and Chelsea play before us so who knows how we will do if either drop points. Will be interested to see if Ole makes any changes.

Think there will be a couple of changes for this game. Tonight showed some of the players just looked completely knackered.

Tough to predict - going to assume Shaw and Williams are both out.

Dalot seems so far out of favour too.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Fred
    Pogba - McTominay
    James - Bruno - Rashford

Hopefully Williams will be ok for this. Play same team again but if we don't win this one then we may truly be fecked.

Ole now for the first time in a few weeks has some decisions to make. We have a huge game on Sunday and I imagine the hope was that City's ban got upheld and we won tonight so that he could make a few changes for this game. I thought several players looked tired tonight but at the same time we know the drop off from the first 11 is huge, I'd be inclined to take out Matic (who has shown in the past that his form falls off a cliff after a few games in a row) and Greenwood (he's 18 and has played a lot recently) while obviously waiting on how the 2 left backs recover and hope to win the game in the first hour and get players off.

who could we change though. AWB could surely use a rest but we may have one extra fit fullback in Dalot. Do you play Dalot at LB and Bailly at RB, or maybe go with a back 5 and use Dan James as a wing back? McTominay and Fred could play in midfield, but playing Mata/Lingard/Pereira in place of Fernandes is suicide. and then up top it would be hard to see the front three be dropped. Maybe give Ighalo a start over Greenwood.

Ole has to rest the squad against Chelsea, he doesn't have a choice. but against Crystal Palace he may not be able to make too many changes.

This is another tricky game and for me is the clear priority over the FA Cup semi. Ole has some big choices to make.

We need to not worry about the FA cup game and play the best squad available. If bruno or pogba are knackered then maybe make the necessary changes.

Agreed its the first time Ole has to think going into the game in a while. I hope he makes the right decisions

I thought we would get 8 from 12 in last 4 games but now I feel we will only get 6. Really thought we would win both home games and draw both away. Now I pray Sheff Utd beat Leicester as I don't see Chelsea bottling it now when they will surely be 4 points ahead of us before we play Palace.

All in all we seem to bottle it when given opportunities this season. Morale will take a nose dive if we fail to win again on Thursday imo.

Just hope Shaw will be back before season ends.

Problem is once again Leicester and Chelsea play before us so we'll smash them if they both win but if we have a chance to go into the top 4 expect a nervy performance again. Hopefully we get as much luck against them as Chelsea did.

Just hope we absolutely spank this lot. The players will have something now to prove after tonight which no doubt feels like a defeat. I’ve got confidence that we will bounce back.

We should have more than enough for them. Have a horrible feeling we could tail off from here though, just hope we don't repeat the last few games of last season.

Well, Chelsea will surely destroy Norwich at home. Leicester's game finishes right before ours starts - I suggest cutting off all outside contact two hours before kick-off. Confiscate the players' phones, and so on. In that case we might have a chance.

We can't afford any more slip ups now. I'd play the reserves at Wembley. Feck the fa cup off. We need our lads fit for these 3 games. If we win the fa cup but finish 5th it's not going to feel better than finishing top 4 and winning nothing.

We'll bounce back. Chelsea will beat Norwich obviously, but let's hope Leicester drop points against Sheffield to really open it up for us. Then the following weekend when we're in the FA cup, Leicester go away to Spurs. They'll drop in one or both of those IMO. Palace is just a must win now.

    Martial
    Rashford - Bruno - Greenwood
    McTominay - Pogba
Williams - Maguire - Lindelof - Wan Bissaka
    De Gea

Matic needs a rest til the Chelsea game. Williams I think will be fine quicker than Shaw is.

Pretty sure we'll lose this one. Think Bournemouth vs Leicester or West Ham v Chelsea.

Nothing's really changed after the result tonight. We needed to win all of our games to get top 4 and that is still the case thanks to Chelsea and Leicester losing.

    Red Card for Casemiro!
I don't believe in our ability to perform under immense pressure - that has been reinforced today. The players look tired on top of that, and Crystal Palace love to spoil a party.

I don't see us getting 3 points here.

If we don't get top 4 it will be because of before Christmas not after it.

I still think we will though. Leicester look like they are struggling and won't have Soyuncu now either.

Theyre the oldest squad in the league who, apart from half an hour v Chelsea, dont seem to care anymore.
The quick turnaround should help us here, Id use the chance to freshen things up.

Goes on that sort of thing during title races but it’s a joke this team has such a poor mentality when it comes to making the fecking top 4.

Palace were far from awful in their last home game v Chelsea. United especially 2nd half tonight were very poor and concerning who will replace Williams and Shaw if both out, dalot not the answer he would be way off the pace of the game right now.

We have shown over the last good few seasons that we are mentally very weak in the face of any adversity , would not be surprising to see us Fall apart here again.

Tired and all as they may be he also has little choice but to play as near as he can the same team, we just don’t have the squad to rotate and still be competitive.
