Injury time Swansea and Stoke goals really fecked up Forest. Barnsley just about got away. Luton Town with a decisive victory.

I have nothing against Forest but thought I'd have a look at their forum because I'm an evil bastard.
She cannae take the strain capt'n!
They must be losing their minds!

Would have quite fancied Forest up sadly.

Been weird watching the Championship these last couple of weeks. Leeds went from having a title challenge to winning the league with ease. West Brom, Brentford and Fulham have competing for the bottle and then this surprise finish from Forest. Crazy league.

Teams coming up will have a hard time to stay in the PL next season. There just isn't that much quality in any one of them.

Just seen the results, ffs Brentford, losing at home against fecking Barnsley. Would much rather have them in the PL than fecking West Brom again.

wigan and barnsley are not finished becuase wigan's case is wait until next friday
This is a real disgrace really.

I bet the bods were hoping that Wigan would ride it out, which a win would have done.

But this is worst case now - Barnsley celebrating like they've done it , and it could all be snatched away!

I thought Wigan already had the points deduction?

Edit: Ignore me, just read about it on wikipedia.

Basically the worst set of results in my opinion.

Brentford bottling it so we have to see WBA stink up the league next season again.

Forest’s chance to come back up to where they belong in tatters so one of fecking Cardiff (who offer no value), Fulham (yeah, will go down right away), Swansea (meh) Brentford (hopefully) will come up.

Wigan being ruined internally go down and those wankers Luton stay up

A lot of bellends on here giving it large about Brentford bottling it but let's take a second to analyse what's actually taken place since the league resumed - the youngest squad in the league manged to win 8 games in a row, which, in such a competitive league as the Championship is remarkable. Then coming up against two team at the end of the run that were fighting for their Championship lives, who have, since replacing their managers been far superior to the relegation form of their predecessors they have fallen short. I mean Stoke have battered Forest 4-1 knocking them out of the play offs ffs!

There are no easy games in the Championship and results prove that - I just hope we finally end our play off misery and go up the hard way.

Hey hey hey, none of that :nono: They're my second team!

The Championship seems like utter madness of a league. Incredibly tight both for the play-offs and relegation this year. I might need to start following it next season, especially if we bottle it on Sunday. Which teams are fun to watch and not full of cnuts?

Brentford look pretty decent and have that scrappy underdog feel to them. Hope they make it up this season already, but otherwise they're the team that has caught my eye at the moment.

Also, fecking Forest

Yeah and a big Scandinavian influence too so might suit you - though it's mostly Danes and Swedes to be fair :D but just down the road from Heathrow so easy travel for you!

Quite a shame really because Brentford play nice stuff and West Brom are an absolutely pointless prem side. They'll go back down, take hammerings by the big boys and feature in the worst games on tv shown by sky, on some tumescent uninspiring Monday night football vs Palace.

We took points off you our last 4 seasons in a row in the premier and regularly took points off the top sides.

Sorry the club doesn't have a sugar daddy to bankroll it and lives within its means though. All this Brentford love, did you see them play against Stoke, the highlights from last night? Its easy to look good when there's zero pressure on you, everytime they got within a game of the automatic promotion spots they started looking awful. Reminds me of the brief Huddersfield love in before it slowly dawned on people.

What's up with the hate against West Brom? They were SAF's last game in charge and that 5-5 would always be etched in my memory.
As long as we don't mess up, that's a "guaranteed" 6 points home and away.

They've always had that yo yo club tag attached to them. I quite like Bilic so not too fussed myself.

I know, they tend to be a very pointless club but I don't mind their existence in the PL. Call me old school but I do like to see all the old clubs from the 90s back in the league. Also good to see Leeds back.

They did have Pulis and Pardew in charge last time they were in the Prem, so that’d put anyone off ever seeing them again.

Not to worry though, based on the current squad I’d be willing to bet on them finishing 20th next season.

GKS: Sam Johnstone isn’t Prem quality.

Defenders: First choice FBs are good, in Furlong and Gibbs. The latter is injury prone. Dara O’Shea offers good cover on both sides, and Townsend on the left could surprise. The middle is an issue, Ajayi is class, but I don’t rate Bartley or Hegazi.

Midfield: Sawyers is tidy. Livermore has his moments. Beyond them, you’ve got Harper and Field who are inexperienced, and I think that’s it? Barry is 103 and Brunt is leaving, so unless I’m forgetting someone that’s not very strong. I’ve had to come back here because I forgot Matt Phillips...yeah, he’s not going to help.

In terms of attacking mids/wingers, this would be theoretically the strongest position. Peirera has arguably been Championship player of the season, then there’s Diangana, Robinson, Krovinovic, Grosicki, Edwards, all of whom could do a job. Small issue there is the first three are on loan! WBA do have Jonathan Leko and Oliver Burke out on loan, but I don’t think either of them are likely to be the answer.

Strikers: It’s enough to make you weep. Austin is finished, even at Championship level. Robson-Kanu is a trier, but he’s not quality. Ken Zohore is useless. This is the number one position to strengthen.

So unless they sign a goalkeeper, centreback, maybe lb, probably two cms, about two wingers and a bloody good forward or two, I don’t hold out much hope. Sensible loan moves and free transfers might help, as they’re not a high spending club.

Absolutely nothing against West Brom, i have the same feeling towards every other club who goes down and comes up every other season and are happy to do it. The likes of Norwich and Fulham too.

I don’t quite understand the hate for West Brom- historic club, Fans seem nice - yes a new team in Brentford would’ve been nice too.

Also Cardiff would be a good addition having the capital of Wales in the league, passionate fans with a different playing style to last time they were in the league. And Swansea would be good too as good playing style in a lovely part of the world

I was hoping Brentford or Fulham would go automatically with other going up via the playoffs. One of them can go up now, preferably Brentford.

I don't mind teams like West Brom coming up and going back down. It's not like they choose to get relegated, they're just not financially able to compete I guess. The Championship is a gruelling one and whoever gets automatic promotion deserves it in my opinion. Sure, it would be nice to see new clubs (Brentford) or old legends (Forrest  ) but at the end of the day, the league table doesn't usually lie.

With that being said, I fecking desperately want Bournemouth those feckheads to get relegated and never come back. They are a 6 point head start for Liverpool every season the useless twats.

West Brom might not be fashionable, but this will be their 13th season in the Premier League to Forest's 5. It's funny to me that people seem to have Premiership nostalgia for Forest on here even though their time at the top was mostly in the Div 1 Clough years, it's probably mostly tied to the 8-1 hammering, understandable but hardly a sign of them having more Prem pedigree than West Brom!
