Their time at Dortmund overlapped by about four months but from the stats he never actually appeared during a Klopp game. He played for the U17s. First Dortmund appearance for Pulisic was 30th January 2016.
Pulišić moved to Dortmund in July 2014. He may not have played for the first team (he played in friendlies though) but when you move to a different country at the age of 15 I'm sure you develop a special relationship to your coach.

Well, he's definitely not. Having a good season though, but Hazard was regularly the best player in the league (or always in the discussion as being the best most seasons.)
He's arguably having a better first season for Chelsea than Hazard did despite being ~1.5 years younger

In the league since the restart, he's picked up a goal or assist in every match bar the Sheffield United one (which Chelsea lost 3:0). 4 goals, 4 assists in 573 minutes.

I reckon he’s going to be a quality player next year.

I don't recall Hazard's numbers in his first season but regardless, as it stands, he's not better than Hazard.

Better than I gave him credit for though before the move to Chelsea.

I agree, he's not better than Hazard. Point being though that they're comparable and you wouldn't be laughed out of the pub for suggesting he's been better than Hazard in his first season, which is more than I or I think anyone expected coming into this year.

He was fouled for the pen that Willian scored from. I think most count that as an assist.
Bit odd to count them as assists. For what it's worth though, Pulisic was also fouled for the freekick Willian scored in that game.

Shame as I wanted him at United

Though I think Sancho will suit us more

Yeah as I said he's definitely been better than I expected. Let's see how his second season goes.

He is dangerous against teams with high lines. Gave us a trouble in the Super cup too. Another player linked with us because of the Klopp connect but never materialised, would have been a great option for us.

If he can stop getting the little niggly injuries, we've got a special player on our hands.
Injuries are the main concern with him, he's been nothing short of brilliant since the restart but where was he before that? No one was calling him Chelsea's best player before lockdown. Similar number of games missed for Dortmund last season as well

Tribalism aside everyone wants to watch good players in the PL and he's been great since lockdown

Skinned Alexander-Arnold like a fresh carcass. Will be USA's first global male soccer superstar.
Trent isn't a great defender tbf, the one for his goal he basically showed him towards the goal. That being said, I think he'll be going in the old Fantasy Football team next season, looks a real talent.

To be fair he'd come back into the team and was scoring before getting injured - hat trick vs. Burnley and goals vs. Watford and Palace. Picked up an adductor injury after the match on New Year's Day vs. Brighton and was out until the restart.

I agree though - I wasn't calling him our best player prior to his injury but at this point I think it's fairly clear that we have no one in our attack who is able to both create off the dribble and also attack the 6 yard box to the extent Pulisic does. Right now I'd argue it's pretty clear he's our best player, which is a frankly extraordinary development and is a credit to his hard work throughout the year.

Always thought he had incredible talent on the ball but his decision making was a bit off at times. I admit that when he lost his starting spot at Dortmund, I believed that he was maybe not all that and hadn't too bright of a future ahead of him. 60m seemed much at that point but all the better that he now seems to turn out much better than I expected. If he fulfills his technical potential, he can be one hell of a player.

Chelsea has a few question marks behind their new generation of top players (Werner, Pulisic, Havertz (?)) but if they click this will be a frightening attack.

Be interesting to see how he and Werner gel. They both like to occupy the same area and make the same runs. I'm going to guess that we'll be seeing a lot of fluidity in their positions.

Yeah, you need to low block him. He has super tricky feet and is fast, if he is able to knock it past most defenders he is off and not many are catching him. The thing that has surprised me the most with him is his finishing and passing in the box. In recent weeks, he has curled in a beaut with his right against City whilst running at full pelt and the GK putting himself in a good position, against Palace he lashed one in with his left with not much of the goal to play with then today, his cross to Abraham was pinpoint, literally if he had put it an inch either side Alisson gets it or it is cleared.

I am not going to buy into the hype too much as this could just be a purple patch, but the quality of his work recently has been super high level.

He was a player i wanted us to sign and thought his commercial value in the American market might see us go for him, really starting to blossom at Chelsea.

I thought the same as you regarding his decision making. Like the American version of Nani. However, his decision making since the restart has been incredible. Pat Macafee will be delighted when he finds out Pulisic scored and assisted last night.

A player United should have been in for. He'll grow into a very good player for Chelsea.

Add in abraham and giroud as options up front and C.H-O plus zeiych wide and it looks pretty versatile ... might take time for them to click and find the best way of playing together but there does look to be options.

Mount and barkley as options in attacking midfield

Kovacic, R.L-C, kante, jorghino and gimlour in midfield and they are looking (over?) Stacked with players... perhaps kante or jorghino will be sold this summer?

Could arguably still use a keeper a left back and a centre back but Lampard has a really good base of players there and the vast majority at an age where there best years are probably still to come

I think the defense is not even remotely on the same level as the attack, especially not talent-wise, but you don't build a top squad in one or two windows. Right now, there are a lot of attacking talents on the market and not so many defensive ones. Additionally, Chelsea is one of the very few top clubs being able to spend huge sums this summer. Attacking players are usually the most expensive ones so this is a unique opportunity for Chelsea to buy basically without real competition and get a huge discount. Makes total sense for them to sort out their attack and add talented players to the defense once that is sorted. I mean, if Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc. would have been in for Havertz for the money talked about they probably would've been chanceless to sign him. Havertz preferred Madrid in the beginning and is a Barcelona admirer since his youth, the only reason he was open for Lampard's project was because he really wants to leave this summer and Chelsea is the only top club willing to pay the sum we are demanding. Clever business. Talk about utilizing opportunities.

Pulisic is a speedster, which goes very well with the PL. Not sure how Sancho's physicality will translate.
Sancho's quick and strong enough but has intelligence to go with it. We need someone to complement our strikers and he's it. If he can also forge a good partnership with Greenwood, it could be some thing special.

Another United fan linked with us, would have been great here too. Or at most teams in the top 6.
