By the way, seems to be another Dortmund export not making it in the EPL. Better stay away from Bundesliga players.

Don't think he's better than Hazard was in his first season but yeah, he's good.

A very good player and why we absolutely must get sancho, we just don't have any player in the squad now that offers us what he does for Chelsea.

I forget quite how many Americans are actually on social media until Pulisic scores a fairly average goal.

His best ever record for assists is 6, James has 6 this season as well. Rashford has 7 this season.
His career goals combined is 1 more than Greenwood has this season alone.
Lets not pretend he is more than he is.

10 goals and 10 assists despite missing huge chunks of the season and it being his first year.

He’s looking very good but will be interesting to see how he does in his second season when he has more competition and opposition defences will be more aware! His talent was never in doubt but his consistency was at Dortmund

Doesnt mean hes providing something we don't have. Thats my point. We don't need a Sancho to have an answer to him.

To be fair I'm not sure you have anyone as good at dribbling as Pulisic - Sancho would provide this and would represent another way of breaking a defense down the way Pulisic does. That said, I'm not sure why goals & assists are being cited as you clearly have plenty of that in the front line.

no he didn’t. That is click bait nonsense. He said and perhaps havertz.

Whether he knows something or not is irrelevant. You could argue he only knows as much as us and therefore he means it sounds likely but it’s not done.

honestly at this point I’d take a goalkeeper over him.

Never meant in terms of goals or assist we have plenty of players for that. Was more talking about his dribling and ability to create something from nothing, which I would say we currently don't have and sancho would provide, especially from the wide areas.

I wonder why so many American kids go to Europe before age 18. I thought it was illegal under new transfer rules?

Dont think it's illegal if they have EU passports.

Pulisic's grandfather was Croatian, Reyna was born in England.

I think they can also go under non-contract status, essentially playing for free/without permits to earn a contract. Unless that has been eliminated in the past. Kirovski was at United for four years on that status but could never get a work permit approved.

Shame about his injury today... proved to be the turning point.

He has been better than I thought. I was expecting him to be good but not this good. He has been their talisman, a catalyst for their form towards the end.

I enjoy childish banter like this

Potentially worrisome history of muscle injuries at this point - hope this is a fluke / a byproduct of being overused by the US in the Gold Cup last summer.

That said, he finishes on 11 goals & 10 assists in 34 appearances (2348 minutes) this year in all competitions - very impressive return especially for a wide player. He's comfortably our best player right now and for me that indicates further reinforcements are needed in our attack.

I really enjoy players that drive forward with the ball and take other players on and for him to do this at such a young age on some of the biggest stages is fantastic. For USA soccer, it's something we badly need (as well as a system that will allow for him to do that).

That injury looked very painful. Tell you what though, he's an absolute force of nature when he's in the mood. Annoyingly I think he's going to have a very good career with Chelsea.

To be fair his muscular problems started much earlier. This might actually be a problem to be worried about..

Yeah sorry, didn't mean to give the impression that I meant that was limited to this season - as you rightly point out his history goes back a bit although the severity of his injuries has picked up this year.
You need Eva Carneiro back.

I hope he isn’t plagued by injuries. He’s one of those players that I automatically hate because he looks like he’ll be very good for you for many years to come, but he’s such a joy to watch. He’s just the typical idea of an exciting footballer. Very aggressive with his dribbling and has a great finish on him. He’s very similar in style to Hazard but faster - if he even becomes half as good as him you have some player in your hands. feck if all your attackers gel next season that’s properly frightening.

No problem, it's just something that looks really bad and as you said the severity of the injuries is starting to look really worrying. Didn't Joe Cole have problems with his muscles for most of his career? But anyway one of my mates was a very very quick player in his youth. His hamstring snapped when he was around 16 and before he turned 23 his career was over because it would tear at the seem 5 times in these 7 years. Just saying these muscle injuries are a real nightmare and often really hard to treat and prevent..

She really was tremendous at her job. Don't think it's a coincidence that as soon as she was sacked we were plagued by injuries. Mourinho's treatment of her was utterly shameful.

Appreciate the sentiment and agreed with your post - for me Greenwood is in the same bucket! I reckon we might be the two most exciting sides to watch next year and frankly I can't wait. Here's hoping Pulisic can be fit for next year and that all of ours stay injury-free given the compressed schedule.

Not really, Arsenal were good value for the win even with Pulisic on the field.
Eh, there were several turning points. Azpi's injury meant Chelsea were scrambling much the way you were in the semis with Bailly's injury - after halftime we looked to have gotten to grips with things but the Pulisic injury more or less was the nail in our coffin. Don't think Arsenal were overwhelming Chelsea prior to Pulisic's leaving - they'd had a tame header from Auba, a goal rightly ruled out for offsides, a fairly soft but ultimately correct penalty, half a chance that didn't lead to a shot thanks to an Alonso feckup and not much else. Lots of possession in midfield with little actual threat.

Obviously I'm biased but I thought that when Pulisic was on the field Chelsea edged things. Without him Arsenal had the clear advantage. We didn't have anyone to drop into midfield to drive at the opposition without Willian or Pulisic - Pedro simply has never done this at any point in his career (especially now).

That Chelsea attack is going to be pretty solid next season if their new signings click. We can debate all we want about Hazard vs Pulisic but it's clear that he's quality even if he doesn't really hit Hazard level numbers. Throw in Ziyech, Werner, Mount and Havertz .. let's just say it's one of the best attacks on paper.

Remains to be seen how players like Ziyech and Havertz adapt to the PL's intensity.
