thats the most predictable team. Only areas for discussion is whether OGS keeps Pogba or Bruno on bench, to come on later as a game changer, and in doing so fortify the midfield with Fred at start. I would do that, but doubt OGS will.

I don't think now is the right time to be using Fred. He seems like he's the kind of player that needs to play a run of games to play himself into form. We can't afford a sloppy start from him here.

    Feeling good about this.

Hopefully can get Mason into the game and Pogba blows them away following his mistake against West Ham.

Really excited too as we have the players to destroy them today. Fingers crossed.

The mind of a football fan.

So today I am hoping Palace keep it cagey with spurs for at least the first half. They then go 1-0 up which filters through to Stamford Bridge. Wolves then have to go all out attack at Chelsea to get the win and ensure they stay ahead of Tottenham in the race for 6th. Chelsea then have to go for Broke to get Champions League football.

    So many if's but's and maybe's

Big concern for me is Jamie Vardy getting in behind that defence. We can be very suspect in that department at times.

Which is why I keep saying we need to play 5 at the back today. 2 CBs not enough for him
This is a nonsense theory. You're just doing a simple equation and saying 5 is greater than 4 therefore a defence made up of 5 defenders is greater than a defence made up of 4 defenders. Far too simplistic for the real world. We've shown time and again when we play a back 5 we look more defensively vulnerable than we do in a 4 so it doesn't make sense to concede possession and attacking threat just so we can weaken our own defence.

Not really feeling this game as much as the hype is having us believe.

Hope there's some fresh legs in the midfield but fear the same XI yet again.
What fresh legs would you suggest? Either Fred or McT is a massive drop in quality to any of our 3 main midfielders. Even so, the legs of Matic, Pogba & Bruno should be relatively fresh because they've had 4 days rest. We only had 2 days rest for Chelsea and then 2 days again for West Ham.

I don't think Matic should play after the performance he produced in the last match. I'd also bench Bruno and use Pogba as the 10.

    Fred-Mctominay
    Pogba

Keep the rest the same with Bruno to come on later, and Matic.

We haven’t always played bad with 5 at the back. Sure we’ve had some trouble lately but I just don’t trust Maguire/Lindelof with Vardy. All they need is one goal and park the bus after. We can’t afford Vardy taking any runs in behind the defense.
Feck that 3 at the back
Yeah I meant 3 CBs and 2 FBs

Bruno needs to start more than Pogba!

He will be key to getting a lead in the first half.

So, it all comes down to this, the £70 million game. I'm actually feeling pretty relaxed about it. We only need a point, meaning Leicester will need to be attacking, which in turn might play into our hands, with our ability to quickly counter attack. We mustn't play too defensively to get the draw, as that will just invite trouble. Instead be patient and play a normal game. We've done very well to get into this situation; Leicester face the prospect of throwing away what looked certain qualification. If we can stay calm and do a professional job, we will be fine. Of course, 'if' is the key word.

    I'm going for 2-0 United.
