Why was Rashford playing in the midfield for a chunk of the second half and Bruno playing wide? Just seemed counter productive.

Our full backs need to wake up. Took AWB up to forty minutes to attempt to drive to the by-line and put a cross in.

Was encouraging to see Lindelof match Vardy for pace.
This game is there to be won if the boys compose themselves, and use the width of the pitch. I really hope the boys are not approaching this with an eye on a draw because it certainly look like that at the minute

Finished the half strongly. For all the complaints about our play we still look much better than Leicester.

Some of the players need to wake up. AWB needs tp take some responsibilty, he is messing up simple passes.

Matic does not look convincing, and with no width from our FBs, this is looking a nervous game.

I might feel tempted to add McTominay and Fred in the team, at least they will run and catch up when they counter. Pogba and Matic are looking very slow, and they are exploiting the space they leave behind them.

Not really troubled the Leicester defence consisting of 2 kids and a 36 year old whose legs have gone.
They are wobbly. Need Ighalo to mess up with them in the center while Martial and Greenwood can cut in from both sides. Current combination not working. Has to be bold and sacrifice Rashford

When he is able to stop the ball from a simple pass, I feel relieved. At times, he isn't able to do that. He is no better than Smalling with the ball.
I’d go as far as saying that smalling is better. Smalling didn’t give me sense of dread and subsequent relief/agony every time he touched the ball.

Pogba, Bruno and Matic have problems with Tielemans, Nididi and Choudhury. Leicester's midfield is stronger physically than ours, and Bruno in particular has problems with that.

Operation 'let AWB have the ball' seems to be every week now.

This guy is not good enough for a PL title aspiring team. He's woeful on the ball.
He is so ineffective he should be used as the third defender in attack rather than Matic. Free up the CDM to go forward instead. Pogba picking up the ball where AWB does would be so much more effective.

Got to bring ighalo for rashford. Lei are here for taking. Defensively they are weak. We just need to put a man in the middle...Ole is going to bottle this as usual by waiting till too late
How would bringing on a slow, strong striker make a difference against slow, strong CBs?

I’d take Bruno off and move Pogba up. We’d lose a little goal threat in that area, although Pogba is far more likely to complete a final pass, and then we could also have added security in midfield with Fred or McTominay.

Credit to Williams by the way, think he’s played well today.

Rashford must be playing with an injury because he's hardly moving off the ball, and not looking to run with the ball.
I reckon he is, and/or knows he will have to play the whole 90 and doesn’t want to be caught with nothing left in the tank. His positioning is providing Williams with more cover on that side, which provides a little more solidity.

    Absolutely shocking. Rashford needs subbing.

Ole needs a rocket up his backside too, this team does not look up for it at all.

Pogba and Fernandez are just nowhere to be seen. They can't get the front three going. I'd bring on Fred for Pogba, and Ighalo for Rashford. Put Martial on the right.
Bruno had the ball in the back of the net and from a Pogba pass and Rashford should have scored again from a Pogba pass. Think your analysis is a bit off. The main issue has been our passing especially from the fullbacks

Our full backs have been rubbish. We lose out on so much presence going forward.

All the great teams in the last few years have nailed those positions.

Leicester won’t suddenly start going for it, they know just doing what they’re doing we’ll give them chances. I can’t see it suddenly opening up early on.

Other than Lindelof, Pogba and Greenwood they've all completely bottled it under the pressure.

    Awful awful awful.
Lindelof? He completely miscued a ball that Vardy thankfully put wide. And on a head to head sprint he had about 5 yards on Jamie Vardy and barely got to the ball first. I would watch this space.

Rashford in the last 5 games has played like he isn’t worried about anyone on the bench taking his spot. He’s right. He’s piss average and I’ve said it all year. I counted 6 out of 8 possessions for him in the first 10 minutes were him completely failing a basic skill. He’s not naturally talented folks. He’s just a kid with a ridiculous shot and fast pace. Does he really give any more than James?
    Yes. Yes he does.

Right, halfway there. And I don’t think too much energy has been expended. Chances on the counter will come, and a promising end to the half.

I am worried about Maguire being on a yellow though.
I am worried about: De Gea, AwB, Williams, Maguire, Matic, Pogba...
I am not expecting much from: Bruno, Rashford
Hoping for something special from: Martial, Greenwood.

Not the best recipe for success.

Some of you people need your head examined. Just relax. Our defenders however, should not take so many chances. They're a liability. Hope for an early goal second half.

We need to take the game to them, increase the tempo, quick 1-2 passes in and around their area. But we're playing slow, dead mans football.

Rashford has been really poor since the restart, the times he looked okay is due to Shaw but he had taken all credit.

His technique is hugely lacking for a top level player.

This will be such an uncomfortable 45 minutes as we start to tire and Leicester start to commit.

He went for the near post as he should (at least this is what Neville said).

While sending on loan a decent center back cause he is shit on the ball. I mean, it makes perfect sense...if you don't think about it.
Yeah but one has room to improve while the other is a finished product

4231 is too deep and defensive for a lot of players like Rashford, Greenwood and Pogba.

I wish ole had the balls to play a 433.
I don't think we have enough energy and speed with Matic playing in that formation, we'd be too vulnerable.

Crystal Palace pulled our pants down when they took 50 million of us. He’s not a 50 million player in a million years. He belongs at Watford or West Ham or something. He’s diabolical.

I absolutely hate it when our player dwindle on the ball long enough and then our two players are left standing just four feet apart from each other, surrounded by opposition defenders, trying to pass it out while moving slower than a snail. AWB and Greenwood have done it most of the times today, giving away the ball in process.
