Hey people like him As a person. He stays

Thank his individual brilliance errors saved us again. This match was never getting turned around by him. Even G.Nev was bemused.
Love the guy. Im happy for him but hes not good enough. Seeing his joy still makes me feel happiness for him.

Great. We should keep him as a strikers coach only.

As a manager he’s average & not good enough for Manchester United
3rd place in his first season. Hope you are not too upset tonight seeing your team get third. Oles at the wheel

Still think he isn't good enough for us to challenge but the requirement was top 4 and he got so he should remain.

What a turn around, from 14 points and 20+ GD behind with 13 games to go, we went on a very good run.

I was for sacking Ole. I think he isn’t great and the results have proved it.

However Bruno coming in and turning it around for us is an important change. If we do get top 4, I’d say we should stick with Ole for another season.

Looking forward to a win tomorrow.
Results have proved opposite what you on about

As much as I like the guy, I don't think we will ever be Premier League or Champions League-winning material under Ole. There may be a steady improvement next year, especially with new players joining the squad, but I do not expect us to challenge either Liverpool or City.
This is a question of how ruthless the board wants to be.

Got us into the top 4 when we looked out of it, so credit for that.

I think it’s clear he doesn’t trust his squad beyond the first 11, so we really need to invest heavily if we are to improve next season .

I still don’t think he has the mentality to get us to the level City & Liverpool are at, but I’d give him another season.

Looking forward to hearing how Ole still got the top 3 battle all wrong, from the same people who were insisting our top 4 challenge was over in January.

Time to shut this thread down you think? Taking a team that was 6th to 3rd in his first full season in charge and still 25% of people want him sacked? Surely that must only be oppo fans?

I'm sorry but looking at the table I can't believe the change, if you would have said 3rd to me at Xmas I would have thought you were hitting the eggnog early

I can't remember why I joined this war.
Despite the dip after his great start I think we are back on track. Are we ready to challange for a title next season? I don't think we are quite there yet but with 2-3 quality players added to the squad I wouldn't entirely rule us out either.

Change a manager also would only be an option imo if one of Klopp, Guardiola or Zidane would be on the market. I'm not the convinced any of the available managers would do better than Ole and if we brought in a new manager that would mean another rebuild. So no way I want someone else at the helm right now.

Come on whiners, tell us again about his issues with ‘creative coaching’ and ‘game management’

He’s done the job. I don’t think he’s the right man, but he deserves another year.
Yeah, I agree with this.

I voted for sack at end of season way back when this thread was started and never changed my vote. I think he's going to inevitably fall short when the job goes from "Qualify for CL" to "Challenge City and Liverpool" and if I look at it from that perspective, I would still want to replace him now. That being said, given our results I don't think it's realistic to think Ed and the Glazers would even entertain that thought now.

Lock this thread now please. This is a results business and this guy has finished 3rd despite a number of obstacles. All the doubters can keep it quiet until next season

I agree with this, but after getting us to 3rd (especially after the disastrous first half of the season) I believe he's earned the right to lead us into next season.

He's earnt a shot next season. Few things he needs to work on in the off season. Get us pressing properly, or bring in a coach who excels at it. Work on dominating the ball more so we can get Bruno and Pogba further forward. Get some proper signings in, improve our depth and there should be no reason we can't win a major trophy next season.

I still think we should get a new manager, not saying Ole is shit. But he's not special, as we need special to challenge Pep and Klopp.

The thing is, there will always be ammunition for the doubters. Unless we win 3-0 every week which isn't realistic they have something to shoot at, but this is a results business and we've finished 3rd.

Massive credit to the team and the manager and his staff.
