This is a thread for those who want to celebrate our season. Celebrate our legend at the wheel, Academy players on the pitch (hottest domestic starlet and the most popular young man in UK), functioning transfer committee (and best signing in the league), beautiful football (quite often) throughout the season, incredible undefeated run as season finishes (beating City, Chelsea (A), and Leicester (A) in the process). A lot to celebrate!!!!

P.S. those who find 3rd place celebration humiliating or are “still worried”, “think Ole has to convince”, please don’t poison the thread. Please .

It's a remarkable turnaround. We have a lot to look forward to and still the Europa to go for, with no pressure on us. I'm looking forward to seeing who we get in now.

Oh my God, thanks Penna. I thought this thread will die. That would be pretty sad.

I just go back to January when we just lost 2-0 at home to Burnley. 14 points off Leicester. Things were pretty low.
A great achievement to get 3rd regardless of who fecked up and who didn’t.
Credit to Ole and the players

It's been a remarkable turnaround to finish 3rd. Massive props to the lads and Ole. Can't wait for next season!

It's a collective effort from coaching staff and players that they turned this season around.
Still a chance for a trophy as well, we win the Europa League and it's a real success this season.
Next season is promising.

Woohooo!!!!!! Come on folks. We finished third in the league. We played some s*xy football on way to that third place. I for one am celebrating the current season and looking forward to the next one.

Should “celebrate” outwardly as we need to do better, but I’m the grand scheme of things there a number of positives and this is a huge stepping stone for us on the rebuilding journey.

Feels like a “win” given how much ground we made up in the back end of the season.

Getting CL could make the difference in us getting our transfer targets too, which again is the next big step.

Feels great to be in the CL - and any fan would have bitten your hand off for third 6 months ago!

I’m delighted we made top four and to be third is even better. Of course I’d like to be higher but top four was the goal for this season and I’m happy we got it. Already looking forward to next year. Really hope our lack of form of late was just pressure/fatigue. With a few additions I think we’ll be even better next year... touch wood.

Given the context and where we were before Bruno's arrival, great finish to the season. So many positives, especially in the attacking aspect.

Now let's get Sancho and Van de Beek (hopefully a few more if Woodward is feeling generous) and have a good CL campaign and improve our consistency.

Well done to Ole and the squad. It's a been a tough and unique season and we've got a good outcome.

Before the season started if someone said we'd get 3rd everyone would have accepted that was the maximum realistic possibility.

Ole has built a platform for the club to keep moving forward from. Positve times ahead!

14 points behind we had 8 losses in this campaign with 14 games to go.

We win 10 and draw 4. Lose none.

Now that... is fecking beautiful. All the while playing some delicious football along the way.

Said it from the start, and will say it here again, top 4 for me was the legit target, all things being equal and considering the state of the competition around us. So glad Ole and the lads achieved it. Great stuff and a lot to learn from, but even more to look forward to. A possible trophy to still look forward to & a very good transfer window and who knows what next season holds in store for us. Onwards and upwards. Get in.

I've attacked a bottle of wine.

Nothing wrong with celebrating the smaller successes along the way. This was a vital first step for Ole and the lads. It's a really good day and I'm delighted with it.

No need for digs in the OP. Everyone should be celebrating and congratulating Ole and the team today.

There is a big difference between those who have a few concerns and those who just want to be right.

Everyone who genuinely loves Manchester United knows this is a good day. All credit to Ole and the team, massive turnaround.

Simply for me, our best season since Sir Alex retired. Yes there were a lot of lows this season but there is potential there in that team and for the first time since Sir Alex's retirement, I can confidently say we are heading in the right direction. A couple of additions needed in a few areas of course but we do have the nucleus of a very good, exciting young team. It is absolutely remarkable how we have turned it right round as it just seemed like another post Fergie campaign where we just didn't know the direction the club was heading towards. After that 2-0 Burney home defeat in January, if you told me after that game that we would win 21 out of 22 games in all competitions and finish in 3rd place then I would have said you are dangerously, extremely high on drugs. I couldn't even see us finishing in 6th place, never mind 3rd place after that performance & result that night. Credit to the players and management for turning this right round.

fecking delighted. We are making good progress. With a proper transfer window we should be able to challenge.

Congratulations to the players and Ole

Played half the season without Pogba and Fernandes. Imagine if they were fit. Good on Ole.

It was beyond what the squad that started the season was capable of and the absolute maximum the team that finished it was capable of.
couldn’t ask for more and a good run in both cups. Hopefully we can win the Europa League and get a seeded place in the CL.
we are only three/four more players away from a side that can challenge IMO.

Interesting to see posters saying this is our best season post Fergie. Winning the Europa and EFL in 2017 was a better season, albeit feels like we’ve played better football this season.

I feel great for the team and the staff, great job and remarkable progress throughout the season!

The one thing that really brings me down, however, is the toxicity of the fan base. People do no support the manager, mostly because of their desire to have another manager in his place. Most of them do not acknowledge deserved accomplishments because of their biases and agendas. We are Manchester Divided and that is sad.

But tonight we celebrate! 4 players in double-digits goals, two players with 20+ goals! So many academy players being integral to this team, and 2Olegend leading us to our former selves! Cheers!

Ecstatic! Haven't felt so good in YEARS!!!
No way is us celebrating 3rd, saying standards have dropped, standards HAVE dropped over the last 7 years, so when it has been improved on and is going in the right direction, then GET IN!

It's the football, the signings, the youthful front and clear direction of the club that makes it feel the best since Fergie. Plus we are definitely in a shot to still win the Europa League!

Not too long ago the core of the team was comprised of Ashley Young, a croaky Matic, an ever injured Herrera, Pogba with one foot out the door, Smalling the shirt grabber and the human highlight reel Lukaku.

Now, there is a dynamic front three with Rashford and Martial finally realizing their proper roles, an emerging Greenwood, a rejuvenated midfield with Bruno and a well settled defence. There is a lot to look forward.

Wish we had a FA cup final next week but 3rd is better than I had hoped for back in December last year.

Bruno has been an inspiration and deffo UTD player of the season.

Europa League Win would be the icing on the cake.

If we win the Europa. This season definitely shades it, but need a trophy.

Delicate balance between good trophies and style of football. I want to see entertaining football but means feck all if you won nothing.

Not that I’m advocating defensive/dull football al Mourinho but we need something to show for it.

Season ain't over yet, but main goal achieved and EL is still a trophy source and simply chance to watch United more.

Greenwood and Bruno delivered quite devastating impact for opponents, so there are some serious highs this season.

Very happy with 3rd given how we started the season. Didn't think it was possible at one point.

Celebrating is a bit much though. Real Madrid, Barca, Juve, Bayern etc don't celebrate coming 3rd. Neither should we. We will take it and hope its the start of something better to come.

Not Celebrating getting top 3 is strange, obviously dont get carried away but considering our season this is a great finish. Our form for the second half of the season is borderline title challenging.

Yes, a LOT of work behind the scenes accomplished.
