Just seen the red card a few more times. That's a yellow. He's lead with his studs but made no contact. It'd a yellow and a telling off IMO.

If he made contact then fair enough it's a red but a straight red I think it a mistake.
Only thing he makes contact with is the ball

I guess not many people like to see a good hard tackle anymore

Rumours Chelsea are signing Benrahama for 30m although they surely don't need him with all their options. Would be a waste for him to go there and sit on the bench.
Looks like Chelsea have set their heart on Havertz, can see them going for Benrahama as well

I feel bad for Brentford losing an important match after that decision from the ref. I am not even sure, it was a free kick. Rico hit the ball and was no where near missing the tackle.

Wow try engaging your brain before commenting - when the season re-started Brentford were 10 points behind 2nd spot and then won 8 games in a row, tell me how hard they tried to deny themselves promotion in that run???
Forget 8 wins in a row. Many of teams can string a run together in the playoff spots, I’m talking about the last 3 games. It was in their hands twice to get promoted, even when West Brom couldn’t win at home final game.. again in Brentford’s hands to get promoted but no lost at home to bottom three Barnsley.

Wow with a username like yours - thought you might appreciate a decent hard tackle that wins the ball but clearly not, roll on Wednesday.
I do, unfortunately you can’t go into tackles at that speed and foot raised, had he slowed down a bit he would have been alright

How much do you even know about the championship?

They played two in-form teams in the last two games not already relegated cannon fodder.

How many teams do you know that win 10 games in a row???

Erm I think if he slowed down a bit he would have smacked straight into the player instead of winning the ball and maybe I'd be ok with the Red card then...

I think Thomas Frank, Brentford`s manager, has a point about the use of VAR in these important games:

"When you play two games for promotion to the Premier League and you play for £170 million, people need to be really, really sure when they make the decisions. I don't understand why there can't be VAR in these games. With so much at stake, they need to nail it. From my point of view, it was absolutely not a red card. We are going to appeal this and I am absolutely 100 per cent sure we'll have a decision where Rico can play on Wednesday."

Literally just seen the red card. How in the name of god is that a dangerous challenge? The man gets literally all of the ball.

I know people saying VAR is killing the game but sending people off for that is more of a stain on the game which needs to be addressed. It's a contact sport FFS

He is a top man Thomas - the only issue I can see regarding VAR is that I have heard some grounds can't accommodate it hence it only being used at Premier League clubs for the FA Cup.

Shame, I would have liked a Swansea cardiff final, if Swansea made it too

I think Cardiff are the weakest of the lot in the play offs. I would be going for a Brentford v Fulham final and feck knows who wins that.

Alright, I apologise
I was a little wound the other day as you might have guessed but accept your apology nonetheless ;)

Still fuming as it massively cost us not only is he one of the best, if not the best, left backs in the league he is also integral to our attacking play!

Should never have been given

Brentford seem mentally shot. I’m going for Fulham. It’s a shame would have liked to have seen Brentford in the PL.
Don't agree before the sending off the mentality from the side was very good - especially taking into consideration we were playing a side on a massive high given the way they got into the playoffs. We had just had the mental fillip of a penalty save before Stroud or more likely his fourth official made the ridiculous decision to send off Rico Henry. After the red we only conceded to worldie Ayew and didn't capitulate. Let's see what Wednesday brings but I think the mentality should and hopefully will be spot on.

Having said that though our play off and finals records is shocking - but has to change sometime!!

I like the optimism. Hope you come up! The other 3 have all been in the PL recently would be nice to see a new face.

What a game. Know a lot of Championship club fans are annoyed at the Brentford media love-in but I enjoy new blood in the PL... even if they're another London club.

Very excited for Wycombe. I have liked them since the 90's (O'Neill era) to be able to watch them on telly from Norway will be sureal.

Agree about Brentford. But my, they would take some beating in the prem. Well, better than sell of all your good players if you loose i guess..

Brentford using their last home game in stadium strength to play out of their skins I see. Bad memories of the last Upton Park game come to mind.
