I refuse to pin any hopes on this Inter situation, as I'm convinced he's going to breakdown injured either in training or during the Europa league.

If we really want to "make the best of it", as the title suggests, we could off the bloke and claim that he'd mysteriously disappeared, preferably down a Chilean mineshaft to lend the story an air of plausibility.

I can see Woodward getting onboard with this.

I can't see inter buying him. We will probably have to reintegrated him into the squad like Juve did dybala. Hopefully he stays fit
I think Inter would buy him whatever fee we are asking is to basically offset what we might have to pay Sanchez to agree to Inter's lower wages offer ,eventually we would agree even if we have to take loss of few millions so to speak.

Why should we off set his wages if personal terms have been reached with inter?
If he is not ready to lower his wages then by all means bring him back and stick him in the reserve and let's see how he had like that. Its time we begin to repay tit for tat and call his bluff.

Inter are making all the right noises and the Mail says Sanchez is keen.

Pay THEM the money? Eh?

We're the ones haggling over 5M if IIRC we want 15M they only want to pay 10.

I think people are underestimating the value of someone like Sanchez in Seria A.

He is in a purple patch though he has been injured for the most part of the season.

it would be daft to hold out for a fee or to drag this out. Get it done quickly, just get him off the books and gone whilst we still can! Defo shouldn’t be greedy with this one, but we shouldn’t be paying either

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Obviously Serie A is better for him, but I think just as importantly he seems to be playing centrally again. I really wish we'd tried him in the centre during Lukaku's horror 18/19. That's where Sanchez played during his last great season at Arsenal, and during his time here it was obvious he no longer had the legs to play out wide. If I remember correctly just about his only decent performance last season was one of the few times he got to play centrally. It still might not have worked, but it was the only way that he could perhaps have been useful if we'd tried it.

What? Why on earth would WE pay another team to take a player off us??
My post is a multi layered sarcastic-tastic joke, see? Relating to...

1 how much we want rid of Sanchez because he's been hopeless and is a bellend

2 about how we end up paying wages quite often after players have left

3 Woodward is an idiot and transfer disaster

I don't know why I bother with such brilliantly subtle constructions tbh.

Off the topic, but someone please let me know on a couple of things.

  • As Adidas paying 75M a year to us means any money they earn on selling shirts they keep it all OR give some % to the club?
  • Some Players get image rights, what exactly that means? how can they earn extra money on this? Heard Degea earned extra 3M this year just based on his image rights. If club losing money on giving image rights why we are giving this to some players?

When we signed Alexis, heard we gave him more image rights means he will lose that extra money too if he moves to Inter so i think he moves to Inter only if he doesnt really bother about money as it seems he will lose half of his salary and money on image rights.

Also we didnt qualify for champions league last year means he has to take 25% cut just like any other players? Pogba was on 250K per week but with 25% cut means he was getting only qaround 180K a week last year or players like Alexis/Pogba were immune to this 25% cut?

Despite his improved recent form for Inter,we honestly shouldn’t even explore the possibility of bringing him back.Lets strike a deal with Inter as soon as possible, and then let’s try our best to give the number 7 to Sancho for next season...

That ship has sailed and sank. Just sell him and be done with it to free up the wage bill.

In a few years time hopefully the Sanchez deal will be seen as a turning point to when we finally decided to cop on as a club.

Well, I, for one, got a good laugh out of it. In fact, I'm still laughing and will probably chuckle throughout the day when it comes to mind. For that, thank you, and keep up the good work!

Genuine question: Would people be okay with Inter buying Alexis for 20-30 millions if it means Alexis assisting Lukaku to score the winner against us in the Europa League final? No pain no gain, right?

Yes, because Lukaku would miss.

Can I or someone else make a Sanchez transfer watch thread in the transfer forum, or the United forum if it belongs there? I didn't see one. Or it can go somewhere else.

Anyway, Conte is complaining about not being backed after coming 1 point behind Juve, looks like Sanchez has been very productive after the break. When Conte complained in January they brought in several players, so i can see them offering a large salary to Sanchez, if he'll accept it. Apparently he back in love with football, surely he'd rather play at Inter?

I've had it with clubs always trying to pull a fast one and get our players on the cheap.

If they can't fork out the 20 million euros they can't have him.

If he refuses to come back, we don't pay him.

Under a tree.
Twitter saying he's being included in Inters Europa League squad, I thought signings done now can only play when next season starts, or is this period included in his loan, so if we play Inter he will not be able to play against us?

Would be a good bit of work by the club, presuming we're not still trousering 200k a week of his wages somehow.

You had to be registered back in January, but presumably Sanchez was because he was on loan.
