This is as big an issue as you make of it. Weird how wound up fans can get, 3 pages on a statement that's best ignored. He wanted to wind us up with that comment and its worked by the look at this thread.
If he talks about us, we are entitled to talk abou the old washed up has been dinosaur.

You're entitled to be wound up yes. I'm just pointing out it's not even worth being wound up about is all. Such a nothing comment intended to get a reaction from the fanbase. I laughed it off as stupidity and moved on.

It's like saying you are wound up by posts here. It doesn't make sense.

Jose acts like a twat, he gets called as one here, doesn't mean people are wound up and banging their key boards.

It's just an observation, there's 4 pages on a throwaway comment that Jose himself knows is bullshit. Posters here are evidently rattled by it. I ignored it, the only comment I have to make is that I'm surprised that it was so easy to wind up fans here. That's all.

And I never said anything about "banging keyboards".

I'd love to see his face if Bruno actually does score 20 penalties next season. Enjoy Qarabag away, Jose.

Well this is a forum with 1000+ users, even if each posts their observation we will have more than 4 pages.

With Sancho, Martial, Rashford, Greenwood running at defenders, he will :D

Red Card for Casemiro!
Jose and Lampard driving the 'United get all the decisions' narrative subtly but very persistently. Ole might counter it in his pressers, but you can bet that every single ref next season will be extra cautious about giving us a close call. They'll overcompensate. Mind games disguised as banter.

I hope we don't have to rely on reffing decisions as much next season, though.

Loving it. He winds you lads up so much.
It's not winds up mate, all we say is the more this guy opens his mouth the more despicable little bitter guy he reveals himself.

I hope you can still love it when you guys become his new target. Remember my words.

The biggest ego in football. His bitterness towards United will be eternal given how his time here ended.

@balaks you keep going on about obsession, you're a spurs fan with 9k posts on a Utd forum.

Mourinho keeps having digs at Utd so Utd fans have digs back at him. It's not a big deal.

You could tell during the game at Spurs' stadium that Mourinho was threatened by Bruno, trying to get under his skin by talking to him from the sidelines. It's a compliment. Bruno didn't give him the time of day of course.

Jose being Jose.

I'd be more interested in hearing what Spurs fans will be saying when they're grinding out boring draws and tepid wins. I'm sure they'll take it as long as he wins a trophy but he has to win...

Mourinho moaning about man united getting loads of penalties but spurs not getting the same, maybe it's because the way he sets up his team is that it results in statistics like 0 shot on target against bloody Bournemouth

Now that we have Bruno and quick forwards, I hope it will be one of our tactics to just run into the defenders inside the box, jebaiting them for a foul and penalty kick. 40 penalty goals in one season should be our aim.
Don't forget doing a Gerrard - sticking your leg out so you touch the defender, then fall over. Seemed to work a treat for him.

You look like old man who is obsessed with us and keep repeating the same thing everywhere, fecking hell take a break.
Haha, so much this. You can actually tell he doesn't even believe what he's saying and deep down knows Mourinho is going to be a disaster at Spurs.

There's a reason 99% on here have a poor opinion of Mourinho. We had first hand experience of just how much of a twat he is and the mess he leaves behind.

This is Jose’s stock in trade, WUM. Best to have laugh, pity what Spurs fans will have to endure until he’s gone and focus on more important matters.

Yeah and others keep coming with "he riled up you lot so easily lolzy" nonsense, it's like commenting on anything means people are angry.

Funnily enough, it's the hardcore Mourinho fans from his time here that are making such unsubstantiated claims. Perhaps it's them getting riled up at people mocking Jose.

What kind of awful phrase is this?
Another way of saying that he gets under people's skin way too easily. What he said was the kind of banter you'd laugh off if you heard it in conversation. Hardly comes across as a bitter attack.

He should concentrate on his positives, taking Tottenham to the dizzy heights of 6th.

His best ever achievement apparently.

Ah ok, maybe being nearly in my mid 30's, I'm getting way too old for all this new found phraseology! I actually agree that it isn't bitter by any means, but most are just pointing out that Jose is a-bit of a nob. This has always been him though, so nothing new. I guess when you're on top and winning things, it comes across more amusing.

For what it's worth, I loved the old Jose. The one from his first spell at Chelsea. He was a ridiculously good manager - despite some of the revisonism on here, in recent times- and he was very amusing and seemed quite a happy bloke. The Jose these days does come across as being bitter at the world and always looks sullen, like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.

It's amazing after this long that people still don't get Jose's personality.
