Is Daniel Harris reliable? I've never heard of him
I know Dan from days of travelling to Utd. Used to chat to him on the train and he was developing some serious contacts. same for Andy Mitten and Michael Crick(though his stories were about more political figures). That's about as much as I can go on

Haha. For a club which is basically a feeder club of their biggest rivals, whole Dortmund mgmt and fanbase alike sure have an inflated opinion of themselves. Remember when they wished Mkhi best of luck in Europa league when he was joining us? Only for Mkhi to win it with us? :D

I hate to burst the bubble but the reference is more likely to them being England teammates and the national team are sponsored by Nike? Would love it to be United related though
He could have used any other English teammate though :D

Tbf they both posted it so it’s more than likely Nike capitalising on us muppets to retweet and view this tweet as much as possible.

However, all parties know what this means so let’s hope it means Sancho is keen to join.

Tbh, the gap we needed to bridge was abit bigger than the other top clubs. But yeah, if we wont challenge next year (if we get another midfielder) , Ole will have some pressure on him.
It wasn't bigger than Liverpool. We finished ahead of Liverpool in 14/15 and 15/16. Then we spunked a WR fee on Pogba, bought Zlatan, Mkhitaryan and Bailly and managed to finish behind them. The following we then outspent them again with buying Lukaku, Lindelof and Matic for a lot of money. We've outspent them in the last 3/4 seasons.

Well it was a synchronized pr stunt that was posted by both Rashford and Sancho on their respective accounts at the same time. With England shirt and Nike sponsoring the statement.

You could claim that this was a random PR opportunity initiated by Nike that just happened to pick them because they are both young black athletes on the team and especially Rashford has been in the media a lot for positive things lately.

A muppet would say this stunt was initiated by United together with Sancho as a way to fire back at Dortmund's media campaign. Essentially Sancho tired of Dortmund dragging it out and asking to leave without officially putting in a transfer request. :wenger::angel:
I couldn't agree more. It's actually very funny and fair play if true. Can't see it being 60 million + 60 millions in add ons unless there's something in it like winning the CL next year then they get another 10/15 million thus bringing it to 120 million.

I've always thought its basically been a done deal for a while so looking forward him to playing at the theatre of dreams.

Didn’t Daniel Harris pat himself on the back yesterday by quoting his earlier transfer tweets which were infrequent but all came through. Good enough for me.

It's clearly calculated. They didn't have to use that pic. Nike knew what pot they were stirring.
No doubt about that. Nike are really good at creating viral campaigns. They couldn't miss this opportunity.

I’ve not seen him much - how good is he compared to rivals wing players - likes of Sterling, Mahrez, Salah, Mane,
And what happens when Rashford, Martial or Greenwood get injured, or maybe 2 of them at the same time? and what happens when they drop form?

It's such a shortsighted view. You cant have 3 players in the same position for 60 games all year.
I just stated I don’t rate him for the money being asked. I didn’t say anything about not getting someone else in.

When you watch Sancho, you can easily see how creative he is. He is able to find his teammates inside or on the edge of the box, he can also find his teammates in a pocket of spaces against more compact sides. Whilst he is very creative, Sancho is efficient in his passing. He averages 56 passes a game with 84.59% completion. He is one of the most efficient passers amongst wingers in Europe. This is mostly due to Sancho having a wide range of passes in his locker. He can either be a direct passer of the ball for a runner in behind or combine in tight spaces in order to break his opponent’s shape. Sancho is the kind of player who can change a game thanks to a pass. He will see what others can’t but he is also able to execute what he sees on a football pitch. When you combine both abilities, you have a dangerous weapon against any defence. Sancho also has outstanding spatial awareness. He is always aware of where his teammates are on the pitch. All in all, Sancho is creative in multiple ways. He can either drive from deep to make a final pass or send a through ball to find his teammates in behind. This is a very rare trait for a winger and that makes Sancho one of Europe’s best playmakers.

He is both a direct and skilful dribbler. Whilst exceeding in tight spaces, Sancho can also be very dynamic in his dribbling, proved by his 3.2 progressive runs per 90. He is a bit more wasteful this season, with a success rate down from 61% to 52% in the league. When the he plays more direct, it allows him to carry the ball from deep in order to stretch his opponent’s defensive line and create a gap with their midfield. His opponents will have to track back if they don’t want to be dribbled past when Sancho carries the ball. When they track back, passing lanes open up for Sancho’s teammates to run into which would then help them have easy chances at goal.

Good thread, goes through his positions etc.

Guys, you need to stop getting winded up by the inferiority complex from BuLi fanbases.

Players there know better.

When you watch or play in a league knowing who's going to win beforehand, and just take bets on who finishes second...It's no shock the PL wins every time

I find these intermediary discussions hilarious. What are you trying to do really? Save face if things fall through? Why does Utd really need one intermediary to talk to another intermediary who then talks to BVB? It's clear we want the player. Go talk to BVB over Teams or Zoom or whatever it is that people use these days and get the deal done.

We all love United
Dortmund keep saying they will only do a deal for 120M euros. United should know that by now but it seems like we are mulling over the price and trying to haggle? Doesn’t seem like they will budge unless they are trying to look good in the deal

They are desperately trying to not look like a selling club.

even if we agree to 120m, it's not exactly straightforward. Structure of payments and so on, there's stuff to hammer out.

They are just playing hard ball. We could call their bluff, I just hope we sign regardless.

Dortmund just want to save face and drive a hard bargain so they don’t look like a selling club.

I’d rather be a selling club than a Bayern feeder club. Imagine being your biggest rivals b*tch, must hurt.

Dortmund do this same song and dance to save face and dispel notions that they're a 'selling club' (even though they've lost some of their best to their biggest domestic rival  )during every high profile sale.

I'm not all that interested on their official line personally as much as I am in the club not trying to have a repeat of the Bruno deal where he haggled and withered around only to miss out during the summer and being worse off during the first half of the season as a result.

We need to take advantage of having a clear run at one of the top 3 best young players in the world right now and get it over with for the sake of improving our squad and next seasons prospects. We've had no problem being taken to the cleaners in the very recent past for lesser players, 100m for Sancho would actually be worthwhile in the long run in my opinion

Sancho hasn't been in any kit releases has he? They released one today as well.

Dortmund know full well Sancho is a player they have for a limited time and want to maximise the money they make off him in that time. They also know people in England will buy Sancho shirts.
